Kiss and Tell

When Daphne entered the diner, Emmett was already there; he was sitting in a booth with his new boyfriend Ryan. They looked happy together and Daphne had a good feeling about them. "Hi Em! Hi Ryan!" "Oh hi sweetie, didn't notice you come in," Emmett said. "Wonder why," Daphne smirked. "Hi Daphne," Ryan said blushing slightly. "Ummm, I have to go." "You don't have to leave because of me," Daphne said. "Yeah I know; I just have to be somewhere. I'll see you tomorrow, right?" Ryan asked Emmett. "Of course baby." "Good," Ryan said beaming and kissed Emmett's hair. "Bye!" "Bye baby!" "So, anything new on the Ryan front?" Daphne asked when Ryan was out of the diner. Emmett sighed. "Well he's adorable as you can see." Daphne smiled. "Yes I've noticed." "But we still haven't done it, you know." "So?" "So? We've known each other for a week already." "A week isn't a very long time, Em." "Maybe not in the breeder world, sweetie but in our world it's an eternity. I don't think he wants me." "Oh he wants you," Daphne said lifting her brows. "How do you figure?" "Well he kissed you on your hair." "Not following." "Didn't you see that program on TV last night? About kisses?" "No." "Okay well let me explain. A kiss on the hair means 'I want more'." "It does?" "Yep. I think he's just a bit shy." "Maybe. So what else did you learn about kisses?" "Well, a kiss on the neck means 'I want you' and a kiss on the cheek 'let's be friends'." "Sounds reasonable - I kiss you on the cheek all the time. Oh this is so interesting," Emmett exclaimed. "What else?" "Let me think... Oh yeah, you don't wanna get a kiss on your hand." "Why not?" "'Cause that means 'everything's already over'." Emmett turned up his nose. "That's not good. How about a kiss on the mouth?" "I love you." "I know that sweetie, I love you too." Daphne chuckled. "Yeah, I love you too Em but I meant that a kiss on the mouth means 'I love you'." "Oh. That's a true classic then. Did the program say anything about kissing ears 'cause Brian and Justin seem to do that a lot." "Ear... what was that again... I know it was there... Oh, now I remember! It's 'I can't live without you'." Emmett smiled. "Well we already knew that." "Yeah, Brian and Justin are so into each other. I mean figuratively speaking. Well, literally too actually." "Yeah..." "Emmett? Em!" "Huh? What?" "Where did you go?" "Sorry, I just... Jeez, I really need to see Ryan tomorrow." "I know, Brian and Justin tend to do that to me too," Daphne smirked. "Okay, back to the matter at hand. Any other kind of kiss you wanna enlighten me of? A kiss on the butt? A kiss on the..." "No! That was a family channel; nothing below the waist." "What a shame." "Yeah. But there was one more meaning, 'I'm faithful to you'." "Ooh how romantic! And that kiss would go...?" "...on the forehead." Just then Brian and Justin entered the diner and came over to the booth Daphne and Emmett were occupying.  "Well hello girls, gossiping again?" Brian asked. "Just the usual stuff," Daphne said. Brian looked sternly at Emmett. "What?" Emmett asked. "Would you mind sitting with Daphne?" "Why can't you... Okay, sure," Emmett said and sat next to Daphne so Brian and Justin could sit together. The foursome sat there for a while talking and when Brian gave Justin a kiss on the mouth, Daphne and Emmett looked knowingly at each other. "Shit!" Brian exclaimed. "What's the matter honey?" Emmett asked. "Oh nothing, I just have to go; Lindsay's waiting for me." Then Brian turned to Justin. "I'll be back around seven." "Okay." "Later," Brian said and kissed Justin on his forehead. "Later." Daphne and Emmett gave each other a meaningful look that Justin didn't miss. "What?" Justin asked. "Does Brian often kiss you on your forehead?" Emmett asked. "All the time." Daphne and Emmett smiled widely at Justin. "What??"
