The winter-chilled wind gusts against the window
Leaves scamper, blurs of orange, red and gold.
Gray skies cover the once sun-warmed road.
Passers-by hurry, cheeks and nose, rosy cold.

The soft blue light glows against the wall.
Love sounds mingle with love words
Sighs and whispered cries of names and deities
Love sighs and love cries and love names.

The wind in never heard against the window.
Leaves are silent in their playful journey
Gray skies fade into the darkness
Passers by are lost in their own thoughts.

Arms embrace, holding on to the love words
Breath mingles, lips touch, tongues caress
This is our world, where we belong
Alone, together, one.
