It was an ordinary Tuesday night at the loft. Brian was working on his computer and Justin was sketching on the sofa. Radio was on but neither one was really listening to it.  All of a sudden Justin started listening to the words.

We've had some fun, and yes we've had our ups and downs

Been down that rocky road, but here we are, still around

We thought about someone else, but neither one took the bait

We thought about breaking up, but now we know it's much too late

We are bound by all the rest

Like the same phone number

All the same friends

And the same address

'Okay, I took the bait once… and was that a mistake of a lifetime or what? Jeez, what the hell did I ever see in him? I can't believe I fell for his bullshit. Well, that was a miscalculation that won't ever happen again.'

Brian's thoughts were interrupted by a song on the radio.

Justin noticed that the tapping sound of Brian's keyboard had stopped. He wondered if Brian was listening to the song too. Though that would've been ridiculously romantic. When the song ended, the keyboard started singing again. Justin smiled to himself.

"Brian?"

'He couldn't have noticed,' Brian thought. "Yeah?" he said looking at his partner.

"Are you happy to be stuck with me?"

Brian gave Justin his infamous Kinney look.

Justin smiled. "Yeah, me too."

Brian tried his best to keep a straight face but he couldn't help the smile from escaping his lips. 'I guess it's not always a bad thing to be stuck with someone,' he thought.
