Going Away

On Thursday at Justin's and Daphne's

"Have you told him yet?" Daphne asked.

"No."

"Why not? You have to tell him; you leave in four days!"

"I know but I just don't want to. I don't wanna be apart from him. I did try to tell him today but I couldn't."

"For Christ's sake Justin, the course won't go away just 'cause you avoid the issue. Besides, it's only for a week, you can handle it."

"I'm afraid."

"Of what? New York?"

"No smartass! A week is a long time; maybe he'll find someone else."

Daphne sighed. "I'm sure he CAN find someone else but do you really believe he WANTS to?"

"I don't know. Maybe he forgets my existence in a week."

"That's bullshit Justin, and you know it. He won't forget you in a week; he's not so old." Daphne grinned.

Justin managed a little smile. "You think so?"

"Yes. I can see he cares about you. He won't leave you just because you go out of town for a while. But you have to tell him soon 'cause he'll be pissed off if you tell him just before you're leaving. And you have to do it face-to-face, okay?"

"Yes mom." Justin rolled his eyes at her. "I promise to tell him tomorrow."

"Good."

On Friday night at the loft

Justin knocked on the loft door and after a moment Brian slid the door open.

"Hey, did we have plans?" Brian asked.

"No, I just thought I'd drop by. Are you busy?"

"No, come in."

Justin got in and Brian shut the door. Brian walked behind Justin and wrapped his arms around Justin's waist and kissed his neck.

"I've missed you."

Justin chuckled. "You saw me yesterday."

"My point exactly."

Justin turned around to face Brian. "Aww, you're such a softie."

"I am NOT soft." Brian said grinding his hard on against Justin's leg at the same time to prove a point.

"I was speaking figuratively."

"Whatever." Brian pulled Justin closer to him and started kissing him and fondling his ass cheeks. Justin moaned at Brian's touch and started going backwards towards the bedroom.

When they were in the bedroom they undressed each other and then Justin pushed Brian gently on the bed and laid himself over him. Brian pulled Justin's face closer and licked first his jaw and then moved to his lips licking slowly. Justin could feel his cock growing even harder by the second. Justin couldn't take it anymore so he pushed into Brian's mouth and kissed him hard.

"Roll over." Justin said when they had to catch some air.

"Huh?"

"Roll over."

"Umm Justin, I'm the top in this equation if you haven't noticed."

"I've noticed all right." Justin said grinning. "Now, just trust me and roll over. I guarantee that you're gonna like it."

"You sure are a bossy bottom sometimes." Brian said and turned around onto his stomach.

Justin started kissing Brian's neck and continued to his lower back. Then Justin gave Brian's back a good long lick from the small of his back to his neck. Brain moaned in appreciation and Justin smiled to himself. Then Justin licked his way down from Brian's neck almost to his hole and stopped. Justin felt Brian tense a little so he waited a moment and then Brian relaxed so Justin decided to go on. He moved his tongue over Brian's hole very slowly. Brian was moaning.

"Fuck Justin, are you gonna tease me forever?"

"I could. Would you like me to?"

"No." Brian said firmly and propped himself on his elbows and lifted his ass higher for better access. Justin took the hint and pushed his tongue into Brian's hole.

"Christ!"

Justin continued tongue-fucking Brian and felt his own cock hardening as well. Justin took Brian's cock in his hand and started rubbing it in the same rhythm as his tongue fucked Brian's ass. Justin couldn't believe how turned on he was and he had to start jerking himself off too with his other hand. Justin felt Brian was near to falling over the edge so he rubbed Brian's cock faster.

"God… Justin…" Brian moaned and came hard on Justin hand. Justin felt Brian's ass muscles tighten and that sent him over the edge too and he collapsed on the bed beside Brian. Justin lay there for a few minutes trying to normalize his breathing. Brian hadn't said a word and Justin was getting worried. He turned to his side so he could look at Brian. Brian was still on his stomach and his eyes were closed.

"Brian… are you okay?"

Brian opened his eyes and saw the worried look on Justin's face. "Oh yes, I'm fine. That was fucking amazing."

That earned him a wide smile from Justin.

"Really?" Justin asked and moved closer to Brian.

"Really." Brian said pulling Justin into a kiss.

"Well I'm here to please." Justin said grinning.

"Brian, I actually had a reason why I came here."

"Yeah, I noticed. I'm glad you dropped by."

Justin slapped Brian's arm playfully. "I didn't mean that."

"So you didn't come here to fuck. Damn, I don't know if I should be flattered or offended. Well, what was the real reason?"

"I'm going away."

'What the fuck? Going away? I don't want him to go away. Christ Kinney, you are so on the way to the sissy land!' "What do you mean going away? Where to?"

"New York."

Brian was afraid to ask but he had to. "Like forever?" Brian's heart was racing a little too fast for his liking.

Justin thought he saw some worry in Brian's eyes. Justin gave Brian a little smile and said: "No, just for a week. We have this art course there."

Brian let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. 'Thank God! I was afraid I wouldn't see him ever again. Christ! What's happening to me? Why would I care if he didn't come back? Sure he's a great fuck but nothing more. Well okay, I like him. A lot. But that doesn't mean anything, does it?' "A week? I guess I can survive with that. But no longer than a week okay? I think that's about my limit."

"Okay. Does this mean you wouldn't like me to move to New York for good?" Justin asked tentatively.

"No, I wouldn't like that at all." Brian said and gave Justin a kiss that earned him a loving smile from Justin. "So when are you leaving?"

"Can't wait to get rid of me, huh?"

"I wouldn't say that."

Justin saw how sincere Brian was. "We're leaving Sunday night."

"Well I guess we should make good use of the time we have left then, don't you think?" Brian asked smiling deviously.

"I really like the way you think." Justin said and straddled Brian on the bed.

On Sunday afternoon at the loft

"I can drive you to the airport."

"No."

"Why not?"

"I hate goodbyes and it would be even harder at the airport. It's hard enough to do it here. I hope you don't mind."

"Actually I do mind but if that's what you want, I'll go with it."

"Good." Justin glanced at his clock. "Fuck! I really need to go, I still have a lot of packing to do." Justin got up from the couch and headed for his jacket.

"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you?" Brian asked coming to stand in front of Justin.

"Yes I'm sure." Justin said and wrapped his arms tightly around Brian and put his head on Brian's chest. 'God! I don't wanna let go. Ever.' Justin felt a lump in his throat and tears weren't far away either. "I'm gonna miss you." he managed to say.

"Me too." Brian said. 'Fuck! How am I supposed to survive a week without him?' Brian drew back a little so he could kiss Justin. The kiss was very long and gentle. When they had to break the kiss to catch some air, Brian saw some tears in Justin's eyes. "Sunshine, don't cry."

"I knew this was going to happen." Justin said a bit frustrated but a tiny smile on his lips. "Okay, I'm gonna go now." Justin said and reluctantly unwrapped himself from Brian.

Brian followed Justin to the door and opened it. "Have a safe trip."

"Thanks. I'll call you when I can." Justin promised. He was almost at the lift when he turned around, flung himself to Brian once more and kissed him with fervor. Finally he let go of Brian and said smiling: "Later."

"Later." was Brian's answer.

On Tuesday morning at Ryder Advertising

Brian was sitting in his office thinking about Justin. 'Christ Kinney, he's been away for one day. ONE. And you're like some teenage girl missing him. Maybe he's fucking some hot New York stud right now. FUCK! But he has every right to do that; we're not like some married couple. And that's the least that I want. Or is it? Shit! The Brian Kinney I know doesn't think like this. What is wrong with me?'

Cynthia walked into the room and saw Brian deep in his thoughts. She could tell it wasn't work; it must be something else.

"Brian?"

Nothing.

"Brian?"

Brian snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Cynthia call him.

"Yeah?"

"Where were you? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind."

Cynthia decided to try her luck. "I bet it's Justin."

Brian was surprised Cynthia knew about Justin. "And how do you know about Justin?"

"I have my sources." Cynthia grinned.

Brian thought for a moment. "Lindz. I should've known she couldn't keep her mouth shut. Is gossiping in women's genes or something?"

"Oh come on Brian, I'm happy for you and so is Lindsay. So, is something wrong between the two of you?"

"No."

"Oh I love it when you're so verbal."

Brian rolled his eyes at her. "Everything's fine. Can we go back to work?"

"There is something, I can tell. Are you going to see him tonight?"

"I can't believe I'm having this conversation with you." Brian sighed. "No, I'm not going to see him."

"Why not?"

"He's in New York."

"Ooh." Cynthia cooed. "Now I get it."

"Get what?" Brian asked.

"You soooo miss him."

"I don't."

"Oh yes you do. It's so cute." Cynthia smiled.

"You're walking on very thin ice here." Brian warned.

"Okay okay, I was just observing. When is he coming back?"

"On Saturday. Can we get back to work now, please?"

"Fine. Mr. Stewart called and confirmed your meeting tomorrow. And Marty wants to see you today."

Brian groaned. "What have I done now?"

"He wants to talk to you about some new client."

"Okay, what time?"

"Two o'clock if that's fine with you. I checked your calendar and you don't have anything planned unless you have something personal."

"No, I don't have anything so I guess that's fine then. Is there anything else I should know about?"

"Well you have that Adelmann pitch at eleven but you knew that already so I guess there's nothing more."

"Thanks Cyn."

"You're welcome." Cynthia said walking towards the door. She opened the door but then turned to Brian once more.

"Brian?"

"Yeah." Brian said looking at Cynthia.

"You soooo miss him."

Brian was just about to say something but Cynthia had already closed the door behind her.

'Fuck! I just hate women sometimes. And especially when they're right.'

Brian was just about to go for lunch when his cell rang. 'What now? Can't I even have a fucking lunch in peace?' Brian glanced at the display and saw it was Justin and all of a sudden he wasn't angry at all about the distraction.

"Hey." Brian said.

"Hey yourself. Are you busy?"

"Not really, I just had a pitch but nothing major for today. So how are you? How's the course?"

"I've been very busy and that's why I haven't called you before. Anyway, I'm fine and the course is great. I've met some interesting people here and the teachers really know their field. We're going to visit some museums in an hour and I'm really looking forward to that. But I really wanted to hear your voice before that."

Brian loved to hear Justin's voice and it made him feel so much better. Justin sounded so excited when he talked about art and Brian knew he enjoyed the course.

"I'm glad you called. I was starting to suspect you'd forgotten me already."

"Well I haven't. And I won't."

"That's good to know. Gus has been asking for you too."

"He has?"

"Yeah, I guess I'm not very good at drawing. He even said my horse looked more like a dog. Can you believe it?"

Justin smiled. "To be honest, I can. I've seen your drawings and I'm sorry to say but you're not very good."

"So you're saying I'm not going to be the next Leonardo da Vinci?"

"I'd be surprised."

"I guess I should stick to advertising then and leave the art for you."

"Maybe that would be best. I'm sorry but I have to go now. I'll try to call you tonight but if I can't then tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay."

"And Brian."

"Yeah?"

"I miss you."

"Me too."

"Later."

"Later."

On Thursday at the Peterson-Marcus residence

"So, how are you handling the fact Justin's in the Big Apple?" Lindsay asked.

"Just fine. I can manage my life without any help, you know."

"I know you can manage, it's not that. Hell, you managed thirty years without anyone. I mean anyone special. But Justin is special, isn't he?"

Brian didn't answer.

"And you miss him. It's okay to miss him you know; it's only human. I miss Mel too when she's out of town, like now. We're kind of like war widows, aren't we?" Lindsay said grinning.

"Oh come on Lindz, isn't that a bit too much? It's not like they're on a different continent for months or anything."

"Yeah well, it does feel like it sometimes, doesn't it?"

Brian raised his brows and sighed. "I guess it does."
