On Thursday at the diner

Lindsay was sitting in a booth at the diner waiting for Brian. Debbie brought her a cup of coffee.

"Thanks Deb. Hey, have you seen Brian today?"

"No, he wasn't here for breakfast. Why? Is something wrong?"

"Not exactly. It's just that Cynthia called me today and told me that Brian was acting oddly. I'm just wondering if the reason might be Justin."

Debbie's face lit up.

"Really? What's happened?" she asked excitedly.

"Well, Brian kissed Justin on Friday night and when I saw him on Saturday morning he was very absent-minded. When I pointed out that he was in looove with Justin, he just cut me off. He's Brian Kinney, after all."

"I knew there was something between those two. I haven't seen Brian ever act like he does when Justin's around and I have been around for a long time. I really hope this is it."

"Yeah, me too. That's why I decided to help the destiny a bit." Lindsay said grinning.

"Oh, what did you do?"

Lindsay started to explain excitedly: "I was supposed to take this art work to Brian but then I met Justin here and then Mel called me. I got this wicked idea that Justin could take the art work to Brian so I pretended that the call was from work and I had to go back there immediately. Mel thought I was drunk or something 'cause I wasn't really answering her questions. Anyway, Justin agreed to go to Brian's. So, I know Justin went there yesterday but I don't know what happened. I'm determined to find out though."

"Ooh honey, this is so thrilling!" Debbie exclaimed.

Just then Brian walked into the diner and headed to the booth Lindsay was sitting in.

"Hey Lindz. Deb."

"Hey Brian."

"So, what can I get you?" Debbie asked.

"I'll have a chicken salad." Lindsay said.

"Okay and you." Debbie said turning to Brian.

"I'll have a turkey sandwich on whole wheat…"

"… no mayo, yeah yeah." Debbie finished Brian's sentence. "It wont take long."

"Thanks Deb." Brian said.

"So how was the pitch? You did get the artwork yesterday?" Lindsay asked trying to hide her grin.

"The pitch went great. And yes I got the artwork although the deliverer wasn't the one I thought I'd see. So tell me Lindz, what was the emergency yesterday?"

"What emergency?" Lindsay asked without thinking.

"The emergency you had to solve and why you couldn't bring the work yourself."

"Oh that. That was… uummm…"

"Come on Lindz, you really should think of a reasonable explanation if you pull something like this off." Brian said grinning.

"Fuck."

"I thought you'd learn to lie better living with a lawyer for all these years."

"Okay, fine. There wasn't any emergency. I just thought I'd give you a little push."

Brian raised his right brow. "So you planned this whole thing in your wicked mind?"

"No, I didn't plan it. It just hit me when I met Justin here. I think fast you know."

"Well I have to give you credit for that."

"So what happened?" Lindsay was nearly dying from curiosity.

"What do you mean what happened?"

"Briiaaan! Did he just drop the work off or did he stay?"

"He stayed for a while."

"Did he spend the night?"

"Christ! Justin was right, women are nosy!"

"You didn't answer my question."

Brian just took a bite of his sandwich and looked at Lindsay.

Lindsay looked at Brian and exclaimed: "He did! I knew it! Well, I think my work here is done." Lindsay simply beamed.

"For God's sake, Lindz! Do you really think I can't get laid without your help?"

"No I don't but this isn't about sex, this is about love."

"Oh we're back to that. I thought I said I don't do…"

"Yeah yeah, you don't do love. You keep telling yourself that. I've known you for years Brian. I know you better than you do yourself."

"Is that so?"

"Yes. So are you going to see him again?"

Brian gave a deep sigh. "I don't know, I might."

Lindsay smiled. "That's all I need to know."

On Friday at Torso

Justin was walking on Liberty Avenue and was passing Torso when he saw Emmett inside and decided to go in. Justin hadn't been at the store before 'cause he thought the clothes would be little too flamboyant for him. The moment Justin entered the store, Emmett saw him.

"Hi sweetie, welcome to Torso. How may I be of service?"

"Hi Emmett." Justin smiled at him. "You work here?"

"Yeah and I'm also co-owner. What brings you here? I haven't seen you here before. I'd remember." Emmett grinned.

"Well I saw you through the window and thought I'd drop in. I'm not sure there's anything for me though."

"Ooh, I'm sure we can find you something fabulous!" Emmett said excitedly.

"Fine, but nothing pink or furry okay."

"Damn, that cuts the possibilities to half. You sure know how to take the fun out of everything!" Emmett said pouting.

"Come on Emmett, I have to leave something for you too."

"Brat! Well let's see, nothing pink or furry… What about something blue? It would go just perfect with your eyes."

"And something old, something new and something borrowed, right?"

"Am I the only one who's taking this serious?"

"Sorry, I couldn't resist. So what do you have for me?"

"What about this one?" Emmett asked showing Justin a blue tee with a big plastic window in the middle.

Justin grimaced. "Way too much flesh showing."

Emmett picked a light blue tee with some oriental decoration in the front. "Okay, what about this?"

"That looks better, I could try that on."

"Great! What else… Oh this would look fabulous on you!" Emmett said showing a sky-blue tee that had some sparkly swirl on it.

"Yeah, that looks great. I could go for something white too."

"Ooh, we got some awesome white tees today, I go get them. Don't go anywhere!" Emmett said disappearing into the backroom.

Justin tried a lot of different tees and jeans and he really enjoyed being with Emmett. He could see Emmett genuinely loved his work and was good at it. Justin decided to buy a few tees and a pair of black jeans. He loved especially the sky-blue tee with the swirl. Justin was just about to leave when he said: "Hey Emmett, when do you get off?"

Emmett looked at his watch and said: "Actually in ten minutes. Why? Are you asking me on a date?" Emmett said fluttering his eyelashes.

Justin grinned. "Sorry but you're not really my type. I just thought maybe you'd like to grab something to eat at the diner."

"Oh well, I knew that would be too good to be true. Besides I know who is your type", Emmett said raising his eyebrows.

"Oh do you?"

"Yes. Brian Kinney."

"Yeah well…" Justin smiled sheepishly.

Emmett's curiosity grew and he looked intensively at Justin. "Do you have something to tell me?"

"I might. So are you gonna join me or not?"

Emmett was jumping up and down and clapping his hands together. "Goodie! Gossip! Wait for me, I'll be right back!"

Justin laughed and shook his head at Emmett.

At the diner

Emmett and Justin had been at the diner a while and Justin had told Emmett about his and Brian's night the day before. Emmett was so excited he could hardly sit down.

"I was going to leave after we had eaten but then Brian asked me to stay."

"Wow, that's something! Usually Brian doesn't let his tri… I mean men to stay overnight."

"You meant to say tricks, didn't you? That's okay, I know all about Brian's reputation. No sleepovers, not the same trick twice."

"Well let me tell you something honey. You're more than a trick to Brian."

"I am?"

"Of course you are. If he wanted just sex from you, he would've fucked you the day you met. I know he wants more."

"You really think so?" Justin asked sheepishly.

"I know so. Brian may not say or act like it but you can see it in his eyes. I believe you're here to stay."

Justin beamed at Emmett and beamed even more when he saw Brian coming into the diner. Emmett saw the change on Justin's face and turned to look what was it about. Emmett sighed and rolled his eyes. 'Oh yeah, Brian Kinney is a goner', he thought. Brian came to their booth and sat beside Emmett.

"Hello boys, what are you doing here? Is there a party I wasn't invited to?"

"Justin asked me out", Emmett said.

Brian raised an eyebrow at Justin. "I know you said you liked him but I didn't realize you liked him this much."

"Oh honey, you don't have to worry; it wasn't like that, unfortunately. Justin came to Torso and we decided to have something to eat."

"You went to Torso?" Brian asked Justin a bit surprised. "You didn't buy anything did you?"

"As a matter a fact, I did."

"Oh God, don't tell me it's something pink."

"What kind of homosexuals are you two when you have something against pink?" Emmett asked.

"Design-oriented?" Brian asked with his tongue-in-cheek smirk.

Emmett rolled his eyes.

"To answer your question; no it's not pink, it's blue", Justin said to Brian.

"Thank God! Can you show that to me?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, sure", Justin said reaching for the bag.

Emmett stopped him. "No he won't show that to you."

"I won't?"

"No you won't." Emmett turned to Brian. "You have to take him somewhere so you can see it in action, so to speak."

"Okay, well how about Babylon? Would that be acceptable enough?"

"Ooh, Babylon would be great but I have to be there too. I wanna see it in action too."

Brian looked at Emmett.

"What? I'm his dresser. I have a right to be there to make sure it fits. Besides I'm Justin's friend, aren't I sweetie?"

"Sure you are." Justin said smiling.

Brian rolled his eyes at Emmett and turned to Justin. "So wanna come to Babylon tomorrow?"

"Yeah, sure." Justin said and gave Brian his patented smile.

"Great." Brian said trying to act nonchalant although he felt very happy inside.

Emmett looked at Brian and Justin when they were lost in their own little world for a moment. 'Oh yes, those two are going to shake Babylon. BIG TIME! I just HAVE to be there!' "Well boys, I have to leave now. I have to decide what to wear to Babylon." Emmett said ushering Brian out off the booth so he could get out.

"But it's not until tomorrow night." Justin pointed out.

Brian chuckled. "You don't know Emmett well enough. It takes him hours to make up his mind."

"I'm just thorough."

"Thorough my ass, you're just indecisive!" Brian said.

"Well maybe a little." Emmett admitted. "Anyway, I'm off! See you tomorrow!"

"Bye Em!"

"So what did you and Em talk about?"

"Well you know, stuff."

"What kind of stuff?"

"Guys, fashion, guys in fashion. You know, all the important things in life."

"Yeah well, that pretty much covers it I guess." Brian chuckled.

"So what have you been up to?" Brian asked.

"You know, sketching, studying - the usual." 'Dreaming of you.' "What about you? Did the pitch go well?"

"Yeah, it went fine. Besides that I've been correcting the fuck ups that the idiot twins have been making. I just wish Ryder would get rid of them." 'Oh yeah, I've been thinking about you for hours but you don't need to know that.'

"Why doesn't he?"

"They are some kind of relatives and I guess he's indebted to someone. Well, enough of my work. So, have there been any life classes lately?" Brian asked grinning.

"Actually I had one today."

"Was he hot?" Brian asked reaching Justin's leg with his own under the table.

Justin could feel Brian's leg and immediately felt tightening in his crotch. "He was all right. Although there is one man I'd rather sketch but I don't know if I could persuade him to pose for me", Justin said giving Brian a seductive look and continuing the foot work under the table.

"I'm sure you could find a way."

Brian and Justin's interaction was interrupted by Justin's cell.

Brian groaned. "I know that sound; it's Daphne. You can tell her I don't like her very much at the moment." Brian said raising his brow. "She keeps interrupting our activities."

Justin smiled at Brian and answered the phone. "What's up Daph? … Fuck, was it today? … Yeah, I'm coming. There's plenty of time, we'll make it in time. Thanks for calling. See you soon. Bye!"

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just forgot I promised to go to this theatre thing with Daph. His boyfriend plays the lead. So, I'm sorry but I have to go or I might not see tomorrow."

"Why's that?"

"You don't know Daphne and don't know what she is capable of."

"Oh. I think she and Lindz would hit it off nicely."

"I'm afraid so."

"So you need a ride?"

"Yeah, thanks."

At Justin's building

"So you wanna meet in Babylon tomorrow?" Justin asked.

"I thought I could pick you up and check your flat."

"There's not much to check. It's a bit less luxury than your loft."

"I don't care, I'd just like to see it."

"Okay, sure. What time?"

"Say around ten thirty?"

"Okay."

Justin was about to leave when he turned back to Brian. "I almost forgot." Justin leaned to Brian and kissed him. 'God I love his lips. And mouth. Oh God, I don't wanna let go.' Justin thought. Finally he had to break the kiss to catch some air. "You know, I don't like Daphne either just now." Justin said frowning. Brian smiled and gave Justin one more kiss. "Okay, go now while I still got some willpower to let you go."

Justin got out of the car but before he closed the door, he leaned inside and said: "Oh, it's apartment 642. Sixth floor. Can you remember that?"

"I'll do my best."

"Okay, later!"

"Later!"
