Party Party!

At the loft

"Ask him what? … Oh that, sorry I've forgotten the whole thing. … Yeah yeah, I'll ask him. … Yeah, see you tomorrow."

Brian hang up the phone and went to get some coffee and sat next to Justin.

"So are you free next Saturday?" Brian asked.

"I guess so. What do you have in mind? A weekend long fuckathon?"

"Not a bad idea." Brian grinned. "But no, this is a bit duller. It's Gus' birthday party and Lindz asked if you'd like to come."

"Sure, I'd love to. I take it the party won't be in here?"

"Hell no! One kid I can manage. Barely. So 'kids' won't be an alternative. I leave the party arrangements to the munchers. I get the bill though."

"Well I guess it's better this way, for everyone. You're not exactly the first person I'd choose for the party planner for children's party."

"Yeah, I'm better with adults' parties. And especially parties that involves only two persons." Brian said with a tongue-in-cheek smirk.

"You don't say?"

"I say. So, have you got enough to eat?"

Justin gave Brian a questioning look. "I guess so."

"Good, I want to show you my party planner expertise. In the bedroom."

"Ooh. I think I still have room for something; like a dessert I mean." Justin said mischievously.

"Very good answer." Brian said and pulled Justin into the bedroom.

At Justin's and Daphne's on Gus' birthday

Brian knocked on the door and Justin answered almost immediately.

"Hey."

"Hey yourself." Brian said and kissed Justin briefly. "So are you ready to go?"

"Yeah, I just need to grab my stuff." Justin said and went to his room.

A few minutes later he came back with his backpack and a package. The package had a blue ribbon on it and it looked like a painting.

"What's that?" Brian asked pointing at the package.

"It's a present for Gus, it's a picture."

"Very funny; I figured that one out. I mean what is it about? Is it me?"

"You and your big ego. No it's not you. For your information, I can draw also other people and things than just you. Besides, I don't think Gus would appreciate my drawings of you, if you know what I mean."

"Yeah, maybe you're right. So what is it?"

"I won't tell." Justin grinned.

Brian rolled his eyes at Justin. "Daphne, what's the picture about?"

"It's…" Justin gave Daphne a threatening look. "Oh yeah, I'm not authorized to tell you." Daphne said smiling. "But I can assure you it's great and Gus will absolutely love it."

Brian gave a deep sigh. "Fine, don't tell, I'll find out soon anyway. I think we should get going. Are you ready?"

"Yeah, let's go. Can you carry this?" Justin asked handing Brian the picture.

"Sure."

At Gus' birthday party

"The party is in the backyard so we can go straight there." Brian said when he and Justin got out of the car.

"Okay." Justin said and followed Brian.

The backyard was full of people: kids and their parents - and the gang of course.

"Daddy!" Gus exclaimed when he saw Brian arriving. Gus ran into Brian's arms and Brian lifted the boy up.

"Hey Sonny Boy. Happy birthday! How old are you now?"

Gus looked at his hand and furrowed his brows. After a moment he smiled and showed four fingers at Brian.

"Four years, that's right. You're a big boy already."

"Big boy." Gus giggled. Then he noticed Justin standing there too. "Justin!" Gus squirmed in Brian's arms. "Down!" he demanded so Brian let him down. Gus went to Justin and hugged him.

"Hey Gus, happy birthday!"

"Where have you been? I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. I was in New York."

"What did you do there?"

"I was learning how to draw and paint better."

"You can draw already. Daddy could use some teaching."

"Yeah, I think you're right." Justin smiled.

"Hey, I'm right here!" Brian said a bit offended.

Gus and Justin just smiled lovingly at Brian.

'I'm so losing my edge', Brian thought when he found himself smiling with Gus and Justin. 'But how could I be mad at them?'

"Can I go and play with my friends?"

"Sure Sonny Boy, it's your birthday."

"He's so cute." Justin said.

"Well, he is my son." Brian smirked.

"Aah, you're so modest."

"Brian, Justin! I'm so glad the both of you could come." Lindsay said.

"Thanks for inviting me too. I hope Gus likes my gift. I didn't know what to buy so I did something myself."

"Oh, I'm sure he'll love it. He likes your drawings." Lindsay said. "So what's in it?"

"He won't tell." Brian said rolling his eyes.

"He's a bit annoyed 'cause I wouldn't tell him." Justin explained.

"I can understand that; he's a total control freak."

"Hey, is this some kind of 'mock Brian' -day?"

"Oh come on, don't be mad." Justin said and wrapped his arm around Brian's waist.

Brian put his arm around Justin's shoulders to show he wasn't really mad.

'And they didn't believe Brian Kinney could fall in love. Ha! I told them so.' Lindsay thought.

"Lindz? Lindz, hello?"

"Oh sorry, I was just thinking about something."

"I don't think I wanna know. You had that odd look on your face. It must've been something which involves you and Mel and bed… eewww…" Brian shuddered.

Lindsay just rolled her eyes. 'If you just knew.'

"Anyway, did Gus like our gift?"

"Oh, he loved it! He didn't want to come outside: he would've played with it the whole day."

"What did you get him?" Justin asked.

"A miniature railway. Gus really likes trains."

"Did you try it?"

"Yeah, a little."

"A little? I think it was more like two hours." Lindsay said.

"Well I had to check that everything was all right." Brian explained.

"Suuure." Lindsay said smiling and Justin tried to suppress his chuckle.

"Gus, you have one present left to open."

"I do?" Gus asked happily.

"Yeah, the one from Justin. Wanna open it now?" Lindsay asked though she knew the answer.

"Yay!" Gus exclaimed.

Melanie helped Gus to unwrap the present. When the picture could be seen, Gus started to smile widely and clap his hands in pure joy.

"It's me! And Adam!"

"Who the fuck is Adam?" Brian whispered to Justin.

"It's the dog from the book. You remember, "Adam's Adventures"?"

"Oh yeah, that Adam."

"Mammy, show the picture!" Gus asked Melanie.

Melanie showed the picture to everybody and especially all the kids were drawn to it.

Gus came to hug Justin.

"It's the best present I've EVER had!"

"Even better than the railway?" Justin asked.

Gus seemed to really ponder the question. Finally he said: "I like them both as much."

"That sounds good. I'm happy you liked it. Now, go on and play with your friends."

"You won't leave while I'm there?"

"No, I won't leave." Justin said smiling.

When Gus was back with his friends, Brian asked: "Are you trying to steal my son away from me?"

Justin smiled. "I wouldn't do that. But it's not my fault the Kinney men are drawn to me, is it?"

"It's exactly your fault." Brian said and pulled Justin for a kiss.

"Come on, I wanna show you the railway." Brian said to Justin while pulling him towards the house.

"Oh no you don't!" Debbie exclaimed.

"What?" Brian asked trying to look as innocent as possible.

"Don't you try that look on me! I've known you long enough and I know exactly what you're thinking."

"And what would that be?" Brian asked raising his brows.

"You know what, don't play stupid! I mean s-e-x." Debbie decided to spell the word for the sake of the children. "I understand it's hard for you not to think about it with the blonde bomb shell by your side but come on, it's your son's birthday party. You can wait for a few hours."

"I was just going to show the railway to Justin." Brian tried to defend himself.

"I bet. I can just imagine what kind of tunnel you were thinking of."

"Why Debbie, I think you have an even dirtier mind than I." Brian said tongue-in-cheek.

"Yeah yeah. Anyway, you're not going inside; you're going to have some birthday cake."

"I don't eat cake." Brian said firmly.

"Of course you don't but Sunshine does so you can watch."

"Come on, Brian." Justin said guiding them to the cake.

Brian followed Justin but wasn't going to have any of that fattening cake.

Debbie went to Emmett and Ted.

"I think Brian's gonna eat some cake today." Debbie said smirking.

"I don't think so; Brian doesn't do cakes." Ted said.

"Wanna bet?" Debbie asked.

"Sure. Ten bucks for Brian not eating any of that cake."

"Okay, I bet the same amount but with Brian eating some. What about you Emmett?"

"I'm with you on this one. I know I would do anything Justin could think of. Brian may be strong but he hasn't got a chance with Justin."

"My thoughts exactly." Debbie smiled.

Brian and Justin were sitting a bit away from the other guests.

"This is really good, you should try some." Justin said to Brian while eating the cake.

"I don't eat cakes. Do you know how much fat is in that?"

"A lot I guess but it wouldn't kill you to at least taste it. You paid for it after all."

"I take your word for it."

Justin moved closer to Brian.

"A little bite please." Justin said trying to feed Brian some cake.

"Get that away from me!"

"Please." Justin cooed. "I can think of some exercise for you to lose all that fat later." Justin gave Brian a seductive look.

"No. It would take hours to burn off all those calories."

"The longer the better." Justin smirked.

Brian raised his brow and Justin moved even closer to Brian so he could touch Brian's crotch.

"What are you doing?" Brian asked.

"I'm persuading you to eat this cake. Pleeease. You would make Lindsay and Debbie very happy. And me too." Justin said with puppy dog eyes.

Brian sighed. "For God's sake! If you take your hand off my groin, I'll taste it, okay?"

Justin beamed and removed his hand and fed a spoonful of cake to Brian.

"It's not bad." Brian conceded.

"So you want some more?"

Brian opened his mouth to decline but before he could say anything, Justin had already put more cake into Brian's mouth.

"That wasn't fair." Brian mumbled.

Justin just rolled his eyes.

"Pay up." Debbie and Emmett said beaming to Ted.

"Damn! I was so sure Brian wouldn't do that." Ted said giving the money to Debbie and Emmett.

"Don't underestimate Justin Taylor's ways of persuading." Emmett said.

"I guess Kinney has a weak spot after all."

"Definitely."
