Unbrotherly Love

Part 10

Lurking Surprises

Brian was sitting at his desk, checking his e-mail, when suddenly Justin burst through the door of his bedroom and dramatically threw himself onto the bed seemingly about to pass out from exhaustion.

"What, you didn't have fun shopping?" Brian chuckled, and got up from his seat to go sit on the bed next to his boyfriend. Justin's eyes were closed, and he shook his head, as the rest of his body continued to lay sprawled out and limp.

"God, why did I ever agree to go along with this?" Justin asked, and then opened his eyes to peer up at Brian.

Brian looked down at him thoughtfully. "Well, if I remember your exact words to coerce me into it..." Brian cleared his throat before speaking in a falsetto voice to mock his boyfriend's words.

"'It's a favor for Daphne and Lindsay - if it was the other way around, they'd totally do it for us!'"

Justin tried not to laugh at Brian's obviously over exaggerated imitation of him.

"Oh, and, let's not forget, 'This is a once in a lifetime chance that we'll never have again... It's one last thing we can do with all of our friends before some of them go away to college!'"

Brian gave Justin a knowing smile. "Sound familiar?"

Justin rolled his eyes. "I know, I know. But... I didn't know how much of a pain in the ass it would be! Do you know how many dresses I had to look at? Daphne and Lindsay must have tried on 20 dresses each - they all fucking looked the same to me. God... it was torture, Brian. Pure torture. Daphne would try a dress on, and then ask me my opinion - not that it really mattered or anything, what I said just went through one ear and out the other."

Brian laughed and lay next to Justin on his side, propping his head on his hand as he listened to Justin queen out.

"Then she would stand there looking in the mirror for about 10 minutes contemplating on whether or not she looked fat... only to have Lindsay come out in her dress and rave about how amazing Daphne looked, and vice versa, but neither of them actually making any decisions about the dresses. Then they would both go try on the next one. Fuck, I wanted to hang myself," Justin groaned, as he covered his face with his hands.

Brian laughed again at his drama princess and gently moved Justin's hands away from his face so he could give him a sympathetic peck on the lips. "Poor baby," he said, smoothing away some of Justin's hair from his forehead.

Justin nodded. "Oh, God, and the music!" Justin continued. "Every fucking place we went to had the shittiest songs blaring on their speakers, and it seemed like they all had the same playlist, because I must have heard that new fucking annoying Shakira song, like a hundred times!"

"It's okay, Dorothy, you're home now... safe and sound," Brian teased.

"Shit, don't ever let me agree to go shopping with those two again."

"What I don't understand, is why girls go through all the trouble to find a dress that they are probably only going to wear once anyway? Thank God all we have to do is pick out a tux, rent it, and then be done with it," Brian said.

"Yeah, no shit," Justin agreed.

"So did either of them finally decide on a dress?" Brian asked.

Justin nodded. "Yeah, we ended up actually going back to the first place they tried dresses on. Go figure," Justin smirked. "And amazingly enough, they both actually made decisions and bought dresses... but you know, then of course they had to buy the stuff that goes with the dress, like shoes, a purse and jewelry, which took another three hours," Justin said, rolling his eyes once more.

"Well, at least we know that we'll have the hottest dates there," Brian said.

Justin nodded in agreement. "That's true. They may have taken a long time to pick out the perfect attire, but I have to admit that they have good taste. They looked hot. If I were straight, they'd definitely be the center of my fantasies," Justin admitted.

"It's a good thing you're not straight," Brian said, and then started kissing Justin's neck lightly, eliciting a moan from the young man.

"Mmm, uh-huh," Justin answered, feeling his cock grow hard as Brian licked along his erogenous zone, and stopped to suck the flesh behind his ear.

Brian started rubbing Justin's cock through his pants, pleased that it was rock solid - just the way he liked it.

"Brian," Justin moaned. "We can't..." Justin whispered, as Brian opened the top button of his jeans and was zipping down the fly.

"We can," Brian whispered back.

"No... we can't. Mom's going to be coming home soon from picking up Molly from daycare," Justin reminded him.

Brian slid his hand down the front of Justin's boxers and started stroking the hard rod. "Your mom called while you were out and said she had some errands to run. Molly's with my Dad, and Jen's going to meet up with them to pick up some dinner to bring home. We have at least an hour," Brian smiled, as he continued to jerk Justin's cock.

Justin's mind soon couldn't concentrate on anything but Brian's hand on his dick, and he sighed as he felt the other boy stroke him faster, then suddenly dip down and lick the dripping head before taking it into his mouth.

Minutes later, Justin was shooting his load down Brian's throat and begging him to fuck him, which the other young man happily obliged to.

Later that night after dinner, Brian and Justin told their parents that they were going to meet up with the gang, but really they were going to drive over to the old closed down drive-in movie theater. Teenagers often went to this place to hang out and party or to park and fool around. On weekends the lot was usually full, but during the week it was more secluded, and there were some parking spaces in the back that were more private. Brian and Justin liked to go to this place sometimes to be alone and talk or to relieve some sexual tension.

As Brian pulled his car into the drive-in lot, he and Justin noticed that there were only a few other cars parked there, and each of the vehicles had their windows steamed up. They chuckled, and Brian quickly found a spot to park in the back of the lot, away from the other cars.

Brian made sure to open the sunroof before he turned off the engine, then they both unbuckled their seat belts. Brian grabbed his pack of Marlboros from his glove compartment, handed a cigarette to Justin and lit it for him, then lit one for himself.

They leaned their seats all the way back and smoked in comfortable silence for the next several minutes, blowing the smoke out the sunroof, and gazing up at the night sky.

"Not many people here tonight," Justin said, taking another drag.

"Yep, perfect time to come," Brian said, giving Justin a devilish grin, making the other boy's dick jump in response at his double meaning. Justin sat up a bit and briefly looked out the window to check whether anyone had noticed them, and as he looked around, he took notice of one of the vehicles across the lot.

"I think that blue car is Brad Thomas'," Justin said, pointing.

Brian looked over, seeing the other car slightly rocking, the windows steamed up to capacity. "Yeah, I wonder which cheerleader he's fucking this week," he smirked.

"Ew, I don't," Justin said, making a gagging sound.

Brian laughed, and then leaned over and kissed his boyfriend. He briefly pulled away, and then tossed their cigarettes out a window and then rolled it back up. He planned for them to do some "steaming up" of their own.

They continued to make out for several minutes before pulling away. Justin was panting and horny as hell, about to pounce on the sexy brunet next to him, when he noticed Brian looking at him thoughtfully.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Nothing, I was just thinking," Brian smiled.

Justin grinned. "I'll just bet I know about what," he said, and grabbed the other boy's hard cock through his jeans.

"Well, besides that," Brian laughed.

Justin gave him a curious look, and removed his hand from Brian's crotch and sat back and looked at him.  "What were you thinking?" he asked.

"Just that once we get to college we won't have to do this anymore."

Justin raised a brow at his boyfriend, and Brian laughed.

"What I mean, is that we won't have to hide so much and make excuses to get out of the house just to be alone. Either one or both of us will probably be out of the house. If I get accepted to Carnagie Melon I'm sure I'll qualify for on-campus housing."

"Not if, Brian. When. You will get accepted. With your good grades and high SAT scores, they won't turn you down!" Justin said enthusiastically.

"I'd like to believe that, I just don't want to get my hopes up, in case it doesn't happen."

"Well, even if you don't get in, you'll no doubt be accepted to some or all of the other colleges you applied to. Carnagie Melon isn't your only choice for education."

Brian nodded. He'd applied to four different colleges. Two of them were outside of Pittsburgh, but those weren't his first choices in schools. Justin had applied to Carnagie Melon as well, but the school he desperately wanted to be accepted to was the Pittsburgh Institute of Fine Arts. He knew it was a difficult school to get into, but he also knew that if he didn't get accepted that it wouldn't be the end of the world. He could take art classes anywhere. As long as he was doing what he loved, it didn't matter.

Justin and Brian both made sure to apply to colleges that would be close to the other. Neither of them had heard from any schools yet, though, so for the time being their college plans were still on hold.

"I know we've talked about living in the dorms, but I was thinking that maybe we could get our own place," Brian said.

Justin's face lit up. "God, Brian, that would be great! Do you think we'll really be able to do that?" he asked, his voice full of excitement and hope.

"Well, I know that my parents started a college fund for me way back when I was like, in Elementary school. It's possible though that I could get a partial or full scholarship, and I'd have that money to help with rent, food, furniture or whatever else we'd need. With both your money and mine, I think we could swing it."

"Oh my God, Brian, this is so perfect!" Justin exclaimed, and kissed Brian hard on the lips. "I'll get a job... maybe at the diner! Michael told me that he gets good tips there."

"I take this to mean you want to live together too?" Brian laughed.

"Hell yes! After a year of having to hide our relationship while living under the same roof... I can't wait for us to be able to relax in our own place and not have to worry about getting caught," Justin said, and then leaned in to kiss Brian once again, but this time, very softly on the lips.

Brian nodded. "That's what I was thinking too," he smiled.

"Then I could kiss you any time, anywhere, and any place I wanted to," Justin whispered, kissing Brian's neck. "No looking over our shoulders, and no more having to keep quiet at night when we're fucking when all I want to do is scream," Justin said hoarsely, getting more aroused.

"And I could fuck you any time, anywhere, and any place I wanted," Brian added, nudging his hard-on against Justin's as they ground their bodies together.

"Fuck!" Justin hissed, and then they started making out fervently, his cock desperately needing to be freed from its confined space.

"All you had to do was ask," Brian said huskily, and they proceeded to do some "rocking" of their own as they steamed up the windows of Brian's car.

Too occupied to notice anything else around them, Justin and Brian were oblivious to the watching eyes of a person in another car that had pulled into the lot...

"Is there something more interesting over there than me?" the girl in the passenger seat asked.

A distracted Chris Hobbs turned to face his date and frowned. "What?"

The girl sighed and rolled her eyes. "We've been parked for ten minutes. Don't you want to, you know... get to know me better?" she asked.

Chris smirked as he looked over at the attractive brunette -- what was her name? Tracey? Casey? Stacy? He couldn't remember. And why would he? She was just some slut whom his friend Rob had told him gave great head.

She was smiling at him with flirty eyes, and he smiled back, knowing that he would probably be in for a treat with this girl.

"Ladies first," he told her, and he watched as the girl wasted no time unbuttoning her tight-fitted sweater, the black tank top underneath revealing a bit of cleavage and showing off her sun-kissed skin.

"You like what you see, Chris?" she whispered, removing her sweater and tossing it into the back seat.

"You haven't really shown me anything," he pointed out.

"I can change that," she smiled again, and without hesitation, pulled her tank top over her head and tossed it in the back where her sweater was.

"Very nice," Chris murmured.

Satisfied with Chris' response, the girl then boldly climbed atop of him, straddling his lap as she faced him.

Chris looked up at the beautiful girl, and then focused on the perky breasts in front of him that were practically falling out of a lacy black bra.

"Don't you want to kiss me?" she asked, batting her eyelashes.

Chris immediately pulled her face down to meet his and they started making out. Tracey, or Stacy - whatever her name was, began to grind her hips against him, then leaned to whisper in his ear.

"God, you're so fucking hot, Chris," she told him. "I've been hoping you'd ask me out."

"Oh, yeah?" he panted, his hands reaching around to unsnap the girl's bra and he continued to explore her tongue with his own.

Chris tried to keep his mind on what he was doing, but unfortunately, that fucking Brian Kinney and what he had seen minutes before, kept popping into his mind.

When Chris had pulled into the drive-in lot, he'd spotted Brian's car, and then noticed Justin Taylor in the passenger seat. He'd decided to park far enough so that he was within viewing distance, but could still be unnoticed.

After putting his car in park, he had made small talk with the girl he'd asked out, but his attention kept reverting back in the direction of Brian's car. It had looked as though Brian and Justin were having a serious conversation, but then suddenly Chris had the shock of his life when he saw the two young men had started kissing! And now, just like all the other cars in the lot, Brian's car was slightly rocking and all the windows were steamed up to capacity.

Chris was now privy to what he was sure to be Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor's biggest secret. They were stepbrothers, after all! Suddenly, the expression on Justin's face when he'd walked in on Chris sucking Brian off, made sense. Chris had thought that maybe the kid was just embarrassed or shocked at having seen that, but now that he really thought about it, Justin had looked hurt too, just before he ran out of the room. He remembered that Brian had also been upset and how he had yelled at Chris to leave.

Chris' thoughts were suddenly interrupted when he heard his date's voice.

"So tell me..." she said, breaking the kiss. "Is it true you can fuck as good as you play football?"

Chris' cock throbbed, and for the time being he forced Brian Kinney out of his mind. He'd deal with that later. Right now, there was a very hot and willing slut in his lap, who couldn't wait to get a piece of him. And who was he to refuse?

He ran his hands under what's-her-name's skirt and squeezed her ass. "Why don't I show you?" he answered.

Justin was at his desk studying for his English Lit final, when there was a knock on his bedroom door.

"Yeah?" he called out, as he scribbled down some notes for his outline.

The door opened, and Jennifer popped her head in. "Honey? Sorry, I don't mean to interrupt you while you're studying..."

"It's okay. I was about to take a break anyway," Justin said, putting his pencil down, then leaned back in his chair and stretched.

"What's up?" he asked, not liking the look on his mother's face. He could tell she was nervous about something. He watched as she let herself into his room and softly closed the door behind her.

"Um, Justin... your father is here, and he would like to take you to dinner," Jennifer said.

Justin stared at his mother in disbelief. "Dad wants to see me?"

Jennifer nodded. "He's waiting in the living room."

"But... why?" Justin asked. He and his father had grown more and more far apart ever since Justin had quit baseball over a year ago. They hardly spoke at all these days, unless it was in passing as Craig was picking up or dropping off Molly.

Jennifer placed her hand on her son's shoulder. "He misses you, honey. I think he just wants to see what you're up to. I think it would be nice for you to spend some time with him."

Justin sighed. "Mom, I really don't think it's a good idea."

"Justin...the important thing is he's trying," Jennifer said, using that gentle, motherly tone of hers.

Justin sighed again. "All right. Tell him I'll be down in a few minutes."

"Okay, sweetheart." Jennifer leaned down and kissed the top of Justin's head and smiled at him before leaving his room.

As soon as she closed the door behind her, Justin dialed Brian's cell.

"Hey."

"Fuck, Brian, you're not going to believe this."

"What?"

"My dad's here. He wants to take me to dinner, just the two of us!" Justin huffed.

"No shit?" Brian replied, seemingly just as surprised as Justin was.

"Yeah."

"Did you say yes?" Brian asked.

"I didn't want to at first, but my Mom made it sound like he really wanted to see me, and well, I haven't really spoken to him in a while..."

"Justin, it's okay. If you want to spend time with you dad, then do it. Just, you know... call me if it becomes too much for you and you need me to come pick you up or something. Okay?"

Justin smiled. "Thanks. I will."

"All right. Later."

"Later."

***************************************

"Wow, I haven't been here in a really long time," Justin said, as he and Craig were seated at their booth. It was a local pizza and burger joint that had been Justin's favorite place to eat when he was a kid.

"Yeah, it's been a while. I remember taking you here almost every Saturday after a game when you were in little league," Craig said, smiling at the memory.

"Yeah, I remember," Justin returned the smile.

"So, what's it going to be? Burger and fries? Or we could share a pizza like we used to?" Craig asked, looking down at the menu.

"Oh..." Justin glanced up at his father and was suddenly hit with emotion and nostalgia. It had been so long since the two of them had done anything like this, and now sitting here, in this place where they had so many fond memories, Justin realized that he really missed doing this. He missed his dad.

"Um, yeah, pizza sounds good." Justin finally answered trying to sound nonchalant as he did his best to cover his emotions.

"Great. The usual?" Craig asked.

Justin shrugged. "Sure."

A waitress brought their drinks and took their order, and as they waited for their food, Justin couldn't help but feel nervous and a bit awkward. He wasn't quite sure what to say to his dad. They had grown apart, and things had changed so much - for both of them.

"So your mother tells me that you're on the Honor Roll again this year," Craig said, taking a sip of his iced tea.

"Yeah."

"I'm glad that you've kept up your grades."

"I've always been a good student, Dad," Justin said quietly and took a sip of his soda.

"I know that. It's just that there are some kids who end up going through rebellious stages at your age and stop caring about school. And frankly, I wasn't sure what to expect after you suddenly quit the team," Craig said.

Justin sighed. 'Oh, God, please don't let him start in on this again,' he thought. He decided to not respond, and hoped that his father would move on to another topic.

"But your mother says that you're doing really well, and I'm really pleased to hear that," Craig said.

"Thanks," Justin said.

"And now you'll be graduating soon and going on to college. It's going to be an exciting time for you, son," Craig said.

Justin nodded. "Yeah. Brian and I are both really looking forward to it," he said, without thinking.

"So you and Jack's son turned out to be great friends, hmm? Do you two spend a lot of time together?"

More than you'd like to know, Justin thought. "Yeah. We've really got a lot in common," he said.

It was then that their pizza arrived, and Justin was grateful for the distraction. Throughout most of the meal, Justin and Craig made small talk. Justin even made an effort to ask Craig about his new little family.

"Hayden is getting so big now. And he's so smart. Molly loves to teach him new things when she comes over," Craig told Justin and wiped his mouth with his napkin.

"That's great," Justin replied, trying to do his best to sound genuine. He couldn't help but to feel jealous, though. It was like Craig had simply moved on and started over. He now had a new son that he had high hopes for.

"You know, if you wanted to come over some time and get to know your brother; spend some time with him, Kerry and I wouldn't mind," Craig said.

Justin gave his father an odd look. This was the first time Craig had ever brought up the fact that Justin hadn't ever gotten to know his half brother, Hayden. His father hadn't really seemed to care before now.

"Oh... It's just, you know, I'm really busy right now - studying for finals and all," Justin said.

Craig nodded. "Sure, well, you know, maybe this summer after you graduate. Or maybe you'd even like to come with us on vacation? I was planning to take Kerry and the kids to Disney World in July."

Justin was speechless. His father really seemed to be making a big effort in getting reacquainted with him.

"Yeah, that sounds fun," Justin smiled, but keeping his tone neutral.

They continued to eat and conversation was quiet for a while, which gave Justin too much time to think. He wondered at the moment if things really were as they seemed or if he should be waiting for the other shoe to drop. He'd been hoping for a long time that Craig would make this step with him. His father's personal feelings and stubbornness had caused a big strain in their relationship, and Justin wasn't sure that they could ever get back the closeness they had before.

"So, tell me, son, have you heard from any of the colleges you've applied to yet?" Craig asked.

Justin shook his head. "No, not yet. I should be hearing something soon, though."

"I'd like to talk to you a little about your college plans."

Justin stared at his father, and suddenly had an unsettling feeling in his stomach. "What about them?" he asked suspiciously.

Craig moved aside his plate and wiped his hands with his napkin and took his time to gather his thoughts before answering his son's question.

"All right, I won't beat around the bush. I've taken the initiative to talk to the Dean at Dartmouth University. He and I actually go way back. In fact, he was a classmate of mine when I, myself was a student at Dartmouth," Craig smiled.

Justin frowned, not liking where this conversation was headed. "And why would you talk to the Dean about me, Dad?"

"Why else? Simply to give you an opportunity for a great future."

"You mean as a business major," Justin said flatly.

Craig looked at his son thoughtfully before answering. "Well, initially, yes, that is what I'd hoped for. But I realize I can't make you do anything you don't want to do. It's an excellent school, and I'd be proud just to say I have a son that goes there. It would be entirely your own decision what you wanted to major in," Craig said.

"But I didn't even apply there," Justin pointed out.

Craig only shrugged. "I had your school records faxed to him, and a couple of your teachers sent some letters saying what a great student you are. Dean Fletcher called me yesterday and said that based on your grades and SAT scores, he's prepared to offer you a full scholarship." Craig was beaming from ear to ear. This was something that he'd been wanting for his son for a long time.

Justin took a deep breath. "Dad... I really don't want to go to Dartmouth."

Craig didn't bat an eye. "What if I were to tell you that if you agreed to go, that I would not only pay your rent for a new apartment, but I'd also throw in that car you've been wanting, as a graduation present?" Craig asked. "Do you really want to say no to that?"

Justin frowned at his father. "You can't buy me off, Dad. Those are just things. They don't really mean anything."

"Justin, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could affect the rest of your life! You think chances like this just fall out of the sky for everyone?" Craig said in frustration.

"Well, apparently it did for me! I didn't apply to Dartmouth, but suddenly one day I find out I have been accepted, and with a full scholarship no less!"

"I only want what's best for you, son," Craig reasoned.

"No, you want what's best for you! You've always wanted me to follow in your footsteps and be who you are, and do what you've done, but Dad, it's not me! I don't want that for my life. I've already got a plan, and I have no intention of changing it!"

"And I suppose your idea of a better education includes some silly art school?" Craig shot out. "For Christ sakes, Justin, you don't even know if you'll be accepted! You're going to blow this opportunity all on a chance that you might be accepted to a school, that by the way, can't even guarantee you a rewarding career after you've graduated?"

Justin threw his napkin on his plate. "I knew this was a bad idea," he said under his breath, and made movement to stand up, but Craig put his hand out in protest.

"Wait, Justin. Please don't get up."

Justin looked at his father hesitantly. "Why shouldn't I? You don't want to listen to anything I have to say, anyway! You're not going to change your mind, and neither am I, so what's the point?" Justin asked.

"All I ask, is that you give this some thought. Okay?"

"And then what? If I think about this and my decision is still the same, will you still be so enthusiastic about me coming over to your house to get to know your other son? Or how about that family vacation, Dad? Will you still want me tagging along, knowing that I'm such a disappointment to you?" Justin challenged.

Craig looked away and didn't answer right away. "Just please think about it?"

Justin sighed, and finally nodded. "Fine. I'll give it some thought.
