I Want You to Know

Part 58

Willow and Rick sat at the kitchen table in Lindsay's house addressing invitations to the wedding. She hadn't seen her mother in days and they caught up on Sascha's progress as they worked. Lindsay told them that Sascha's visitors had been limited to Brian, Justin and herself due to her susceptibility to infections. Sascha had been in isolation for the last three weeks and everyone had to be extra cautious around her. In order to enter her room they had to be in sterile gowns with gloves and masks. No one who showed any signs of illness was allowed in.

As they were finalizing the details of the seating arrangements the doorbell rang and Julie answered it to reveal Gus standing there.

"Gus, honey, why are you ringing the bell? This is your home."

"I wasn't so sure I'd be welcome, Julie. Not after the other day at dinner."

Lindsay stood and crossed the room, hugging her son. "Gus you're always welcome here. Nothing will ever stop me from loving you."

"Thanks mom," Gus said with a kiss on the cheek.

"Come on in, I was just about to make some coffee. Help your sister with the last few invitations while I go put it on."

Gus sat next to Rick and smiled at his sister, picking up an envelope and stuffing it.

"So Gus are you going to be able to make it back for the wedding?"

"I'm going to do my best Rick. I have to head  back out west soon and take care of some business that I left unattended."

"It must've been tough to just pick up and fly out here like that."

"Yeah, I miss Bruiser."

"Who's Bruiser?"

Willow laughed and answered for her brother. "Bruiser is his big scary chow mix. That dog will lick you to death." Turning to her brother she asked, "who's taking care of him while you're out here?"

"A friend."

Willow shot him a knowing look and made a mental note to find out more about this friend when she could get her brother alone. Lindsay came in with the coffee and chocolate cake and they all settled in to enjoy the evening.

I stared at Michael with a stupid look on my face trying to figure out what the hell was going on. "Yeah, Michael, he thinks you slept with Gus. That's what Gus told us."

"Gus told you that we fucked?!?" Michael was outraged that the young man would say such horrible things. "Why would he say that?"

"Maybe because he believes it happened. He told me about how you came to Babylon and gave him a blowjob then took him back to your place. He said he woke up in your bed with your boxers on."

"That's not what happened Justin. I can't believe he said those things. I knew he was drunk, but I didn't think he was delusional."

"So why don't you tell me exactly what happened." I sat back and waited for him to fill me in on the real story of that night.

"I did go to Babylon, but it wasn't me giving him head in the backroom. I found him back there with some trick. When he saw me he pushed the trick away and walked towards me. I could tell he was drunk off his ass so I told him to zip up and I'd take him home. He argued at first  but I somehow convinced him it was best for him to come with me. I had to help him walk out of there. He fought me a little until we made it outside. Once the cold air hit him he seemed to calm down a little. He was asleep before we made it back to my place. I managed to wake him up long enough to get him upstairs."

"What happened then?"

"Nothing. I undressed him and put him to bed."

"How do you explain Gus wearing your boxers?"

"He's a lot like his father. He doesn't wear underwear either. He really did remind me of Brian that night. I could see he was on a self destructive path and I just did what any friend would've done."

"Thanks Michael. I had a feeling that nothing happened but I had to make sure."

"I fully understand Justin. Just make sure that Brian doesn't kill Gus now."

"Will do."

Sascha was sleeping and I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, hoping that Justin didn't catch me. I'd given up smoking years ago, but every now and then I just needed something to do with my hands. I was lost in thought when he walked out and called me.

"I thought I'd find you out here," he said taking the cigarette from me and taking a long drag on it. "God I've missed that."

"Yeah me too." I kissed him and took the cigarette back. "How'd your visit with Michael go."

"It was informative."

I watched his face for any sign of anger or hatred and found none. "So what did he have to say for himself?"

"He didn't sleep with your son, Brian. All he did was take him and put him to bed. Just like he did for you all those years when you thought you were invincible."

"What?"

"I said he didn't sleep with Gus. Nothing happened."

"I'm gonna kill that fucking kid."

Sascha was sitting up in her bed reading Star when the door opened and the most impossibly handsome man walked in. She quickly smoothed her hair and wished she was in something prettier than her pajamas.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for Brian Kinney."

"He stepped out for a minute but you can wait for him if you'd like." She smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Thanks. You must be Sascha. I've heard a lot about you. Your dad talks about you all the time."

"Great," she said with a roll of her eyes.

"Don't worry it was all good. And you're just as beautiful as he said you were." He smiled at her blush and his heart raced in his chest. "I'm  Dylan McKinley."

"How do you know my dad?"

"I work for him at Sony."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

Dylan laughed at her joke and pulled the chair closer to her bed. Her hair was tangled and he spotted a brush on the table. Picking it up he leaned across the bed and began to softly brush the long blonde locks until they gleamed. Sascha felt more alive when he touched her than she ever had in her life. Her skin burned from his touch and she longed to kiss him.

Dylan felt the connection as well and felt himself falling for this young girl. He knew that he shouldn't feel anything for her. She was his boss's daughter and that meant she was off limits to him. Somehow he knew he would risk everything to be with this intriguing woman.

Brian and Justin came in to find Dylan brushing Sascha's hair and their laughter halted. Brian looked at his assistant with anger blazing in his dark hazel eyes. He looked from Dylan to Sascha and knew that he was in for trouble. Dylan's face registered love as did his daughter's. Justin touched his arm lightly and he looked down to see the same look in Justin's eyes that he had just seen in Dylan's.

Justin smiled up at his partner and moved to kiss his daughter's cheek. "Hello baby."

"Hi Daddy. You know Dylan, right?"

"Sure, Hi Dylan."

"Hi Mr. Taylor-Kinney. I'm sorry to bother you here Brian, but I needed to go over some notes with you."

"This couldn't have waited until the morning, Dylan? Did you have to come here and bother my daughter?"

"He wasn't bothering me Dad. In fact it was nice to see someone other than my parents for a change."

"Speaking of which, how the hell did you get in here? She's supposed to be in isolation."

"They came in while you were out with my test results. Seems my count came back up enough to take me off isolation Dad. Now quit being so mean and get out of here. I need to talk to Daddy."

Brian opened the door, waiting for Dylan to gather his things and leave the room. The younger man stopped in the doorway and turned back to Sascha. "It was nice to meet you Sascha. I hope to see you again soon."

She smiled at him and Brian pushed the young man out the door. Exchanging glances with Justin he let the door slowly shut behind him and went to find out just what it was Dylan McKinley wanted.
