Endless Nights
Chapter 2

Gus left two days later and I finally had a chance to talk to Justin alone.
Of course I had to wake him up but I needed him sober for this conversation.
Once awake I tried to get him to listen to me, only to have him leave
me sitting on the bed while he went to shower.
I closed my eyes, my body betraying me by responding to thoughts of him naked
in the shower. I would never stop wanting him. His body was still perfect
and my dick still jumped to attention anytime he looked sideways at it. It
had been weeks since I'd felt his skin beneath my hands and I decided that
nothing else mattered right then except being inside of him.
I stripped quickly and stepped beneath the hot water and pulled him close.
My eyes closed and I sighed deeply just at the feel of him. His hands wandered
over my body as his mouth found mine and captured it in a deep kiss.
I could feel his erection pressing against my stomach and I lost all conscious
thought.
Four hours later I came up for air and food. This was the first day in weeks
where Justin was sober and in a good mood so I wasn't about to ruin it with
talks of stalkers and his destructive habits. I was just happy to have my
Sunshine back, smiling and happy.
I was standing in front of the refrigerator searching for anything to help
keep my strength up when it dawned on me that we hadn't had sex, well together
anyway, in weeks. Justin was having plenty of sex, of that I was sure. I
couldn't fault him for it though, I mean I was
promiscuous once. But since I'm being honest with you, it hurt like hell
that he was being with other men. I knew he loved me, but he was just giving
himself to those other men.
I began to understand exactly how he felt and why he left me for that damn
fiddler. The phone ringing interrupted my thoughts and I picked up the kitchen
extension just as Justin said 'Hello'. I don't know why but I listened instead
of hanging up. My blood ran cold at the sound of the voice on the other end
and the words he spoke.
"I'm coming for you soon, my love."
At the click, I knew he'd hung up and ran for the stairs. Grabbing the cordless
from his hand, I looked for the number on the caller ID only to find a pay
phone listed.
"FUCK."
He looked at me like I had suddenly sprouted wings or something.
"Who was that Justin?"
"How the fuck should I know?"
"Because it sure wasn't for me. And the other night
when you came home there was someone following you. Did you unintentionally
give a trick some hope that he could be more than a one time thing?"
"Fortunately I learned from the master how to be a cold hearted bastard."
"Yeah well even the master let one slide through."
"Oh right, I forgot, I'm the trick who stayed far too fucking long. Well
we can change that."
I grabbed his arm and stopped him from storming off. "Quit the fucking drama
queen routine, Sunshine. This is serious."
"Fuck. You."
"Damn it Justin, I found this by the door this morning." I pulled
the note out of my pocket and handed it to him. "It says the same thing that
the voice did."
"So now you're keeping things from me?"
"No I'm trying to protect you."
"Well don't do me any favors. I can take care of myself."
"I used to think you could. But look at you, Justin, you're a fucking mess.
You stay out all night, come home drunk, pass out
and sleep all day. When was the last time you saw the sun? Are you ever planning
to get a job again? Or should I expect to take care of you forever?"
"I didn't realize I was such an imposition Brian. I'm just trying to have
a little fun and be young. Wasn't it you who once said he was never going
to grow up?"
"Until I met you and realized that there are things in life a little more
important than tricking and bumping."
"Don't blame me for your getting old, Kinney. The word is out, there's a
new King in town and you're looking at him."
"If that's what you want, then I'm happy for you. But the Justin I know and
love, wants more than drugs and nameless tricks."
"So are you kicking me out?"
"No this is your home too. Our home, I just hope you realize that before
it's too late."
Two days passed in silence with me on the couch, and Justin staying in. There
had been no notes or phone calls until Sunday Morning when I stepped out
for coffee and a paper. I nearly tripped over the photo album. Picking it
up I flipped through it and my heart nearly stopped at the pictures.
There were pictures of Justin and I around town
together, only Justin's face was missing from every photo. Forgetting the
coffee, I ran back upstairs to wake Justin.
After looking through the photo album he was starting to take it seriously
when the phone rang. Justin reached for it as I ran downstairs to the kitchen
phone.
"Our time is near my love. Soon we will be together forever."
"Are you going to take this seriously now?"
"It's just someone playing a joke, Brian."
"Damn it Justin when are you going to wake up and
realize that this shit is serious. You could be in danger."
"I'm fine Bri. I can take care of myself. No one
is going to hurt me, I promise."
"Please be careful and at least talk to Horvath about this. Please?"
"Fine. I'll call him tomorrow. Now can you go get
that coffee, I need some caffeine."
One week later I came back from getting our coffee and paper and Justin was
gone.
