New Addition

Chapter 5

“Hi, Grandmother, how are you and John?”

....

“I know you’re still married.  That wasn’t what I meant.”  Reid was seated on the sofa, pretending to read the morning newspaper, while Luke paced to and fro in front of him, rolling his eyes at what he was hearing from Lucinda.  Ethan had already left for school, getting a ride from Natalie who, now that she had her Learner’s Permit, never missed an opportunity to get behind the wheel.

“Can you make it to the farm for a big family dinner this weekend?  Reid’s mother is coming for a visit and we just want to get together.”

....

“Okay.  You’re right.  We have some news, but I’m not telling you anything more.”

....

“Yes, it’s about Baby Oliver-Snyder.”  Luke glared at Reid mouthing the word, help.

Taking pity on Luke, and knowing his ever indulgent partner could never seem to cut off Lucinda, let alone say no to her, Reid called, “Luke, you said you’d wash the damn dishes before we left for work.  You know I can’t stand to leave a house with a germ-building pile of plates offering an open invitation to all sorts of vermin.”

....

“No, Grandmother, we haven’t lost our housekeeping service.  They only come twice a week.  The other five days we have to take care of mundane tasks on our own.”

It took all of Reid’s willpower not to laugh out loud.  He knew Lucinda wanted them to have a full time housekeeper, but Luke wanted Ethan to grow up learning some level of responsibility, not to mention, he liked having some privacy on days he and Reid both had time off and Ethan was out of the house.

“Thank you, Grandmother.  I’ll see you Saturday night at seven.”

....

“I love you too.”

....

“I’ll tell him.”  Luke finally disconnected the phone and tossed it on the coffee table.

Reid looked up, knowing he was failing miserably at hiding his smirk.  “What’s up with Queen Lucinda?”

“I swear, Reid.  I’m not sure who’s the bigger pain in the ass, you or her.”

“If you’re talking about ass, I’d simply ask you to recall last night, and the way you were walking earlier this morning.”

Luke plopped down on the sofa, next to Reid, first playfully smacking him on the arm and then leaning into him with his head on Reid’s chest.  “Last night was amazing, and I’m damn proud of the fact I can still feel you inside me this morning.”

“I bet you say that to all the hot neurosurgeons.”

“Only the ones I’m in love with.”

Reid nodded, putting his arm around Luke and letting his newspaper fall to the floor.  “So what did Lucinda want you to tell me?”

Luke huffed.  “She wanted me to let you know she could tell you faked calling me away from the phone, but she loves you anyway.”

“Hey, it was your idea.”

“I can never put one over on her.”

“It’s part of the burden you have to bear as her favorite.”

“She really doesn’t hide it, does she?”

Gently rubbing his hand up and down Luke’s arm, Reid kissed the top of his partner’s head.  “Why should she hide it?  You’re worth being the favorite; you’re definitely my favorite.”

“I remember a time I thought everyone considered me far less.  I wasn’t sure I was worthy of anything.”

“Those days are long behind you, and I think you know it.”

“Yeah, I do.”  Luke wrapped his arms around Reid.  “It’s all because of you.”

“Normally I’d argue, but why bother.  If you want me to take credit for showing you how important you are, I’ll accept the compliment.”

“You’re in a good mood.”

“Why shouldn’t I be?”  Reid smiled.  “The babies are healthy, Molly feels good, and when we dump the fantastic news on the family this weekend, we’ll also be sending Ethan off for Spring Break with my mother for an entire week.”

“I see.  Does that mean you have plans for us -- shopping, sightseeing, childbirth class?”

Reid poked Luke in the ribs.

“Hey!”

“The only plans for you are to lock you in our bedroom and enjoy your body in every possible way imaginable, and a few added bonuses I’ll make up as we go along.”

“I’d complain about being thought of as your plaything but--”  Luke stopped talking and placed Reid’s hand over the bulge in his pants.  “It seems like that plan is more appealing than any other alternative.”

“I say we practice for our week ahead.”  Reid grinned.

Before Reid could make a move of his own, Luke unzipped his own pants, shoving them down to his knees and then in one fluid motion rolled off the sofa while unbuttoning and unzipping Reid’s as well.

“Whoa, tiger.  What are you--”

“Shut up and enjoy.”  Reid lifted his ass as Luke yanked his pants and briefs down to his ankles, freeing his now erect cock.

“This is a pleasant surprise.”

“It’s about to get better.”  Without missing a beat, Luke knelt on the floor, wasting no time as he first licked, and then sucked, Reid’s cock.  “So beautiful.”  He hummed around the tip and then dove in for more.

“Oh fuck!”  Reid tangled his fingers in Luke’s hair.  Unable to resist, Reid began to move, thrusting into the waiting warm cavity.  “Luke.”  The heat between them rose rapidly; faster than he’d expected.

Luke remained still, allowing Reid to fuck his mouth.

“I’m close, so close.”

Smiling around Reid’s cock, Luke moved closer and began rubbing his hot, hard dick against Reid’s leg.

“Damn.  You feel so good.”

Before Reid could say any more, Luke snuck the fingers of one hand between Reid’s ass cheeks and pressed the tips of two inside.

“Ahhh!”  Reid arched at the unexpected entry.  It was too much, too hot.  He couldn’t hold back and allowed himself to spiral over the cliff, spilling into Luke’s hungry mouth.  “Luke!”

Panting, Reid felt Luke grip his hips as he rutted to climax.  “Oh God, Reid.”

Resting his head against Reid’s thigh, Luke shuddered.

When their breathing returned to nearly normal, Reid nudged Luke, guided him back onto the sofa and took him in his arms; neither concerned that their pants were still scrunched up around their ankles.  “You never cease to amaze me.”  Embracing one another even tighter, Reid kissed Luke over and over.

Luke moaned into the kisses, shuddering again.

Reid pulled away, shocked to see tears running down Luke’s cheeks.  “What’s the matter?  Are you okay?  I didn’t say anything wrong, did I?”

Shaking his head, Luke laughed through more wet kisses.  “It’s you.  I know I was young when we met, but I’d already given up on ever finding someone who would love me the way you do.  I didn’t know I could be so happy.  Thank you.”  Luke nuzzled his head into the crook of Reid’s neck.

It was shocking to realize how poorly Luke had thought of himself.  Reid knew, without question, that he was the lucky one in their relationship.  “I love you, Luke, everything about you; but most of all how you make me feel.  With you I’m more than Dr. Reid Oliver.”

Luke clung tighter if that was possible.  “You mean Dr. Reid Oliver-Snyder.”

“Yes, and I’m getting more and more used to that name, but I think you know what I mean.  With you I’m more than just a doctor.  I’m a husband, lover, and a father.”  Reid kissed Luke tenderly, brushing their lips together.  “With you I’m a complete person.”

“Reid.”  It was all Luke said as the two remained on the sofa holding each other close forever, and not long enough.

“Luke.”  It was just enough to say before the two slowly pulled off their clothes and lay back together.  Reid knew Luke heard everything.  He was a good listener.
