Sunday In The Park With His Boys

Sunday In The Park With His Boys

Brian and Justin awoke early, the sun streamed into the big loft window.  After a quick shower and a quickie in the shower Brian got dressed and made coffee.  Justin wrapped in a towel sat on a stool waited for the coffee and wondered how he was going to get his clothes.  Handing Justin a cup Brian said, “don’t worry Sunshine I’ll go get them.”  With that Brian went for his jacket and headed for the door.  When he opened the door he nearly tumbled over a large bag with a lavender bow tied to it.  Cursing he picked up the bag and looked in, there were Sunshine’s clothes and the bedding Debbie had taken the evening before all smelling fresh and clean.

Realizing the clothing issue was taken care of Brian came back into the loft and handed the bundle to Justin.  As Justin turned for the bedroom Brian asked if the boy wouldn’t mind putting away the bedding.  Shaking his head Justin walked into the bedroom.  Brian went to the phone and made a quick call, by the time Justin was dressed he was done.  Brian announced he was hungry and suggested they go to the diner for breakfast.  Justin agreed and trailed along.

At the diner they were greeted with the usual bravado.  Brian thanked Debbie with a hug and a kiss and pushed Justin to a booth.  Debbie temporarily stunned by Brian’s emotional display stood frozen in the middle of the diner.  Brian snapped her out of it by shouting “coffee”, she smiled and said “coming right up”.

After putting in their breakfast orders she went back to their booth and asked what were their plans on such a beautiful day.  Justin just shrugged his shoulders but Brian sat up a with a smile on his face and announced in a loud proud voice “I’m takin’ my two boys to the park today!”  Before anyone in the diner had a chance to react (and right on cue) Lindsey, Melanie and Gus entered the diner.  As the mommies sat down next to the dads Brian lifted Gus onto his lap.  The mommies ordered breakfast and all four ate as they took turns holding Gus.

With breakfast done and a quick diaper change for Gus, the mommies departed for their day of frolic.  Then men headed for the park leaving the diner patrons as well as Debbie a bit bemused at the blissful domestic scene they had all witnessed.

The drive to the park was fairly quick but a little unsettling for Justin.  He loved spending time with Gus and definitely with Brian but he couldn’t help ponder over the direction this would all take, for now he willed himself to accept the day as a gift.  Brian too felt a little out of sorts, he was surprised how quiet Justin was and not surprised by all the baby babble flowing out of Gus.  He didn’t say anything to break the spell.

At the park Gus was securely strapped into his stroller the guys took a leisurely walk.  They made small talk commenting on the day, Brian’s work and Justin’s assignments.

As they approached the swings Gus got antsy so Brian removed him from the stroller as Justin sat on a swing.  Placing the baby on Justin’s lap the two boys hugged each other tight and Brian pushed the swing.  Once swinging Justin was able to sustain the movement so Brian sat on a nearby bench to watch.

Brian wasn’t sure how long he was sitting there as he remained deep in thought.  He reviewed his life---the good, the bad and the way too ugly.  He was in love with his gorgeous blond boy and never wanted him to leave him ever again.  He loved his beautiful son and vowed to himself to become a better father.

In the mean time Gus and Justin tired of the swing and got off indicating they were going to get ice cream.  Brian watched his two boys walk away.  Justin’s luscious ass gently swaying and Gus’ diapered one waddling.  He laughed quietly to himself.

This was all Brian wanted, all he ever needed.

The boys came back with the ice cream each sharing some with Brian.  When the snack was over the three wiped themselves clean and packed up.  It was time to take Gus home to the mommies.

As they were getting themselves together, Gus safely in his stroller, an older couple walked by hand in hand.  As they passed, the man smiling at Brian said, “ You have two beautiful boys, you must be very proud”.  Justin raised an eyebrow awaiting Brian’s reaction.  Brian smiled back at the couple saying, “ I know and I am”.  He then gave his boys each a peck on the cheek and the three headed for the car.

Brian had a wonderful Sunday in the park with his boys.
