The Tragedy

It struck, the inevitable struck; for most of us we may be temporarily put off but for a man like Brian Kinney this day marked the beginning of the end. He called his lover.

"Justin! Come home please, come home now, I need you!"

Justin was in a meeting when Cynthia interrupted to tell him that Brian had called for the sixth time and if he didn't do something soon she'd be forced to hire a hit man. Justin completed his business and drove home.

As Justin slid open the loft door he was greeted by a naked despondent Brian who threw himself into Justin's arms.

"Brian, Brian baby what happened? Are you ok? Gus, Vic, Deb?"

"No, no eveyone's ok. You have to help me find it!"

Not knowing what 'it' is Justin said, "Of course I'll help you Brian, whatever it is. Where'd you last see it?"

"Over here by the sofa."

"Ok, show me."

Brian led his confused but supportive partner to the sofa. Brian sat with a huff and handed Justin a magnifying glass.

"Bri, why do I need this?"

"Just in case it's hard to find."

"Ok, uh Bri, where am I looking?"

"Here!" Brian points to his crotch that seemed to offend him. Justin looked up at him, his blue eyes shining wide.

"Brian, what the hell am I looking for; what's going on?"

"Justin you'll know it when you see it, just look."

Still not quite understanding, Justin went through the motions of scrutinizing the one place he knew oh so well, looking for whatever.

Holding up the glass, Justin eyed Brian face and quipped, "Ya know this would be a lot easier if you told me WHAT THE HELL I'M LOOKING FOR!" Justin's frustration got the better of him as he shouted at Brian.

Brian leaned back onto the cushions and lowered his head in shame and embarrassment. A single tear slipped down his face.

"Oh Brian, baby, please tell me", Justin said as he embraced his lover.

"Justin, I can't, I can't even say they words."

"Brian look at me, what were the 3 hardest words you ever said to me?"

"I love you."

"Correct, now what can possibly he harder than that?"

Brian pondered a moment. Then Justin saw the change in Brian's demeanor. The great Brian fuckin' Kinney was back. The shoulders straightened, the flare returned to the beautiful hazel eyes; Brian began a mantra..."I can do this, I can do this."

"Justin"

"Yes Brian"

"I found a grey hair."

"Oh Brian!"
