"Justin, sweetheart, table number four is looking real hungry. I think you should get their order."

"Huh? Oh, sorry Deb."

"That's okay honey, now move that bubble butt!"

About an hour later the dinner rush was over and Debbie and Justin were able to sit and have a chat.

"What's the matter, sweetie? You've been moping around for days. Not getting enough?"

"I'm getting more that enough, thank you very much."

"The asshole do something stupid?"

"No, the asshole has not done anything stupid at least not to my knowledge."

"Then what is it? You're not sick, are you?"

"I'm fine Debbie, it's just..."

"Just what?"

"I'm not sure. It's like I'm missing something but I don't know what it is."

"When did this start?"

"Honey, you've been back from California for months now. Are you still missing LA?"

"No, not at all. I'm very happy to be home." Then it dawned on Justin what he was missing but it seemed so foolish, so lesbionic that he was embarrassed to say. Debbie, a very perceptive soul, was able to read the changes that came over Justin's face.

"Say it, honey. You know you can tell me anything. Did you meet someone out? Are you missing him?"

"No."

"What?"

"Flowers."

"Flowers? Baby, you're allergic to flowers."

"That's only if I get too close and it's only some of them."

"Justin, he wont buy you flowers."

"That's not what I mean."

"Maybe I can help, if you explain it to me."

"There's nothing to explain. Out there the sun was always shining, it was so warm. It seemed like flowers were lining the streets. And every shop and store had window displays filled with flowers. It was amazing, all the color. Here, it feels like winter wont give up. I miss the flowers."

"I wish I could help."

"It's okay, Deb, really. I'll get over it." Justin retreated into the kitchen to get his dinner for the night. Brian walked in to the quiet diner, finding Debbie sitting at the counter.

"Hey, kiddo. He's in the kitchen packing up your dinner. Grilled chicken."

"With caesar salad?"

"Of course, I'll pack you up some lemon bars to take with you."

"Deb."

"Don't argue with me, you're still to skinny and you know it."

"Shit."

"If you ate more like Justin, I wouldn't have to worry about you all the time."

"Aw, Maw, if I ate like Justin I'd never fit through the door let alone my suits and you know how much I love my suits." Debbie ignored Brian's snark as she expressed her concern over Justin's blues.

"Brian, have you noticed that our Sunshine is a little down lately."

"He's never down."

"His spirits, asshole, not his dick. He's missing LA."

Brian flinched for a second. He had noticed that Justin was way too quiet but Brian thought it had something to do with his indecisiveness about going back to school. Brian feared the worse. Did his boy meet someone out there? Was he missing a boyfriend?

Out of all her boys and despite his stoicism, Debbie found Brian the easiest to read. "No, honey, it's not like that. Justin's not pining for some trick. The little bugger has Spring fever. He misses flowers."

"Debbie, that little bugger is allergic to flowers. How can he miss something he can't have?"

"Baby, he missed you something awful and you were out of his reach for a very long time."

Brian winced. He knew he had caused Justin pain in the past but they had moved beyond it.

"Are you suggesting I buy him flowers?"

"God forbid and risk implosion. No kiddo, I don't think a bouquet of roses will fix this latest tragedy. Honestly, unless Mother Nature had a sex change, not even the great Brian fucking Kinney can make Spring come any sooner."

Justin burst through the kitchen doors carrying their dinners. Debbie packed up the containers and added the lemon bars, a very generous portion of lemon bars.

"Hey, Sonny Boy, lets get the fuck out of here before she adds any more of those lemon bricks to the bag."

Brian slapped some bills on the counter, grabbed the bag then steered his boy out the door, but not before Debbie gave them both a hug and a kiss. Shaking her head as they drove off, Debbie mumbled to herself.

"Not even Brian Kinney can change the course of nature."

Or could he?

After dinner and while munching on lemon bars, Brian enquired about Justin's plans for the next few days.

"Justin, do you have anything important to do besides registering for the fall semester?"

"No, I don't think so. Why?"

"I have a client in New York and I thought you could tag along. We can take in a show or go to a few museums."

The invitation earned Brian a hug, a flurry of hot deep kisses and one hell of a blowjob. Resting between rounds, Brian remarked.

"So, I guess that's a yes." Justin's face lit up the room. He managed a yes before pouncing on Brian's rising cock.

The next day in New York, Brian dropped off Justin at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to spend the day with Monet while Brian went to shmooze his client.

Dressed to kill and ready to seduce , Brian meant business. The meetings were to be conducted over several days. Brian had other plans. Confident in his abilities and in his kickass ad, Brian went to his meeting with a contract ready to be signed in his briefcase. Brian Kinney would take no prisoners.

Justin was a little disappointed that Brian's meeting was running longer than planned. He settled amongst the Monets and Manets to gaze at the paintings that were filled with flowers. Justin's blue were somewhat diminished by the beautiful, colorful paintings. Around six, Brian retrieved his Sunshine.

"What's got you looking so smug?"

"Nothing much, just a signed contract for a multimillion dollar deal for Kinnetic."

"You're kidding! You said this would take days?!"

"Plans change, little boy and I'm just that good. Gotta go with the flow."

"So, does that mean we go home tomorrow?"

"Nope, I was think something else."

"You gonna tell me?"

"Uh, uh, I'd rather surprise you."

"Brian, you didn't hire me a hustle again, did you?"

"Give me a little credit here. I learn from my mistakes, most of the time. Trust me."

"Hmm."

The lovers took a cab into the Village where they could dine, stroll around and publicly show affection. Brian chose a restaurant that was around during the time that Vic roamed these streets. On the menu, much to Justin's delight, were about 100 combinations of hamburgers. Justin's eyes grew wide then narrowed as he was forced to make a choice. Brian and the waiter flirted as they patiently waited for Justin to decide.

"Justin, you're not solving the riddle of the Sphinx, choose something!"

Justin rolled his eyes at Brian then pointed at a combination of beef, cheese and sauce that merely reading about it, hardened Brian's arteries. The waiter went off to put in their order and bring back their drinks.

"Are we having him for dessert?" Justin queried.

"No, Sunshine, you're the only one on my menu tonight. I figured we'd celebrate my new contract in style. I ordered a special dessert for later in our room."

"Brian, are you alright? Why are you being so nice? Not that I don't appreciate this, the trip, spending the day at the Met, spending time with you. But you have to admit, I have cause for suspicion. You didn't have a relapse did you?"

"No, Justin, healthy as a horse. Can't get rid of me that easily. I have to confess that a little birdie told me that you have a bad case of Spring fever. Dr. Brian thought a trip to the big city might help."

"That little birdie wouldn't happen to wear a bright red wig and have a big mouth?"

Justin scowled.

"The very one. Don't be angry. You know how she gets."

Brian was saved from further explanation as the waiter plopped down two huge burgers on the table. Justin was in burger heaven. Brian, who thought he chose the simplest thing on the menu was horrified at the size. Justin required no encouragement to attack his burger. On the other hand, Brian had no clue where to start.

"Eat, Brian."

"Look at this thing. I can't even hold it."

Justin, who never met a hamburger he didn't like was not intimidated. He took charge. Pushing aside his own monstrosity, he slid over Brian's plate. Artfully he carved up the burger into quarters then neatly arranged them on the bed of lettuce that lined the plate. Justin returned the newly designed artwork to its rightful owner. Brian slid Justin's plate back in front of him.

Brian marveled at his rearranged burger, smiled his most sincerest smile at Justin then picked up a queen sized quarter. Offering a silent toast with burgers in hand they began their meal.

"Brian, that was incredible."

"I can't believe you ate the whole thing!"

"It was good."

"You certainly looked like you were enjoying yourself."

"I did. Thank you. I know it's cold out but could we walk a little before we go back to the hotel."

"Good idea. We need to digest before we have dessert. There's a few interesting shops down here. May be we'll pick up a new toy or two." Justin, blushed at the suggestion of toys. The lovers paid the check, bundled up against the cold and went toy shopping.

With their purchases in hand, they caught a cab and headed back to the hotel.

As promised, Brian had arranged for a bottle of champagne, dark chocolate dipped fruit and a selection of dainty pastries. Brian poured the bubbling wine for the two of them then picked up a succulent coated berry. He took a sip of the champagne, a small nibble of fruit then kissed his boy. The lovers savored the combination of lips, wine, chocolate and sweet fruit. They spent the rest of the night feeding each other fruit, pastries, sipping wine and making love.

"You going to give me a hint of where we're going?"

Brian had gotten them up early. They showered, dressed then breakfasted. The valet brought Brian's Vette around and the two were off. Brian successfully negotiated the city traffic to get to the FDR Drive. Justin was squirming with frustration.

"Brian! Now will you tell me where we're going?"

"Look up, Sunshine."

Justin looked up and saw the Brooklyn Bridge sign, the expanse of the famous structure lay before them.

"Brooklyn! You're taking me to Brooklyn? What the fuck for?"

"You'll see. Did you take all your allergy pills?"

"Yes, mother."

"And you have your inhaler?"

"Yes, but I don't understand. It's just as cold here as in Pittsburgh and there's a lot of snow on the ground."

"Can't be too well prepared."

******************************************************************

"We're here!"

"Where's here?"

"Read the sign."

The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens?"

"Yup. Come on, I think it's the last day of the show."

"Show? What show?"

Brian guided Justin through the entrance of the special greenhouse. In front of Justin in neat rows, were hundreds of flowers in every conceivable color. Justin stood speechless.

Not only was the sight an artist's dream, it was made all the more special that Brian had thought to bring Justin. Justin gave his ridiculously romantic man one of his sunniest best and a discrete peck to Brian's cheek. Justin whispered a promise for a proper thank you in their hotel room. Brian nodded then pushed Justin toward a row of orchids.

"I wish I had a pad with me and my color pencils." Justin mumbled. Out from under his coat, Brian produced the afore mentioned pad and pencils.

"You're the best." Justin said as he scampered away.

Hours later and with his pencil tips worn Justin found Brian outside leaning on a tree smoking a cigarette.

"Have enough fun with flowers, Sunshine?"

"Thank you Brian, that was wonderful."

"Feeling better?"

"Yeah, I think Dr. Brian cured my Spring fever."

"Good. Now, how about we go back to the hotel so that Dr. Justin can cure my blue ball. It's been hours and I need a special treatment that only you can provide."

"Brian, you can count on me."

******************************************************************

"You were very quiet on the drive back. Didn't you like your surprise?"

"I loved every minute of it Brian. I wish I could explain how what you did makes me feel."

"I'm sure you'll think of some way to show you're gratitude."

"That goes without saying. But I want to do more. This went way beyond buying a bunch of flowers. This took thought and planning, not to mention you won that account. Everything Brian. You do so much for me and never ask for anything in return."

"If it'll make you feel any better, I will ask you for something. A few somethings. First, I'd like one of the sketches you did today. Signed, dated and framed for my office. Second, I'd like for you to make a decision about PIFA. And as for the third."

Brian brought Justin to the bed. As they lay together, he drew the boy closely into his arms. Gently stroking Justin's hair and back, Brian whispered his third request into Justin's ear. The lovers kissed.

"Forever, Brian, always and forever.
