Enough

Justin hesitated before knocking on the loft door. He looked down at the bouquet of roses and wondered if this was such a good idea. No, he was going to do it. Brian told him to have some balls, he just hoped his lover didn't cut them off. The blond took a deep breath and rapped hard on the door before he could change his mind again.

Brian quickly answered and Justin smiled nervously. "Hey, I--"

"What the fuck?" Brian sneered as he glared at the flowers.

"It'smymom'sbirthday," the blond blurted.

Brian blinked, then raised a slightly amused eyebrow, and waited.

Justin wrestled with his nerves and tried again. "I'm going to my mom's for dinner and I'd like you to come with me."

Brian’s face turned to stone. "Are you shitting me?"

Justin steeled himself and plowed ahead. "No, Brian. It's what boyfr--people who fuck more than once do."

The exec rolled his eyes as he went back to his desk. "No, it's what married people do. We're not married, we just fuck," he reminded the other man as he returned to his project.

Justin followed him and stood next to the chair Brian sat in. He carefully set the flowers on a stack of folders, ignoring Brian's scowl, and turned the chair, forcing Brian to look at him instead of the screen he was trying to focus on. "Right, we're not married, but no, we are not just fucking," the artist countered. "If you don't want to go, just say so, but do not treat me like last night's trick."

The older man quashed the urge to remind the blond that he actually was last night’s trick. Instead he picked up the bouquet and shoved it back at Justin. "Save your money next time."

Justin frowned at him. "Just because you don’t think--"

"I think," Brian interrupted, "that your mother would prefer you spend your money on school supplies instead. I think she would be happy just to spend time with you. I thi—I know it would be enough."

Justin struggled to control the smile that threatened to split his face open. He knew better than to acknowledge such rare declarations from the older man. The blond put his hand over the file Brian suddenly found so important. "So I take it you’re not coming for dinner?" he pouted, trying to sound put out. And failing miserably.

Brian didn’t bother to look up, unable to handle the little shit’s shiny happy face at the moment. "No."

"Okay." Justin leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Later."

The exec grabbed his wrist before he walked away. "But I’ll cum for dessert when you get back."
