Please Stay

Brian could still hear Justin's plea in his mind; 'Don't go, Brian.' Brian was moving to New York for two years to help get a new office off the ground until the new manager could make it there. Brian so wanted to stay with his beloved Golden Boy, but he just couldn't. He had work to do and that meant leaving Justin behind. Brian refrained from crying as he said his good byes to Michael and Justin. Michael and David had promised Brian they'd take Justin in with them until he returned.

Brian had cried silent tears on the plane as he lifted off from Pittsburgh. He had refused to cry in front of the Justin and the others. Brian promised Justin he would write and e-mail him as often as he could, maybe even send for him to come visit.

Michael frowned, looking up at the stairs. The only sound in the house was Justin's sobbing; a closed bedroom door muffled the sound. Michael leaned back against David as he hugged him from behind.

"I'll go talk to him." David murmured in Michael's ear. "I do have a son after all."

Michael nodded and watched his lover head upstairs to try to console the distraught young man. Justin had two weeks out of the hospital when Brian broke the news of his temporary move to New York.

**************

David poked his head into the spare room to find Justin curled up crying into the pillow, hugging it tightly to his chest. Quietly closing the door, he walked over to the teen. David laid his hand on Justin's shoulder, and suddenly he had an armful of crying teenager.

"Calm down, Justin. He'll be home before you know it." David murmured in his ear, rubbing his bath in soothing circles.

"He's leaving me! He's not coming back!" Justin wailed.

"He is not leaving you and he will be back for you. I know how you feel, Justin. I felt that way when I had to leave Michael behind." David murmured.

He stayed with Justin until he cried himself to sleep, and even then he continued to hold him until Michael came to get David for bed.

**************

Later that night, Michael woke to the sound of the bedroom door opening. Lifting his head, he saw Justin peeking inside the room, a scared look on his baby face. With a tired smile, Michael patted the space between himself and David. With a small smile, Justin climbed in between the two. Michael helped Justin settle down, covering Justin up. When Michael looked over to David, he blushed, seeing the sleepy smile on his face. Later into the night, Michael held Justin as he slept.

**************

As the weeks went on, Justin gradually got over Brian's being away. He immersed himself in schoolwork, the Diner, and his chores at David and Michael's. He rarely ever went to Woody's or Babylon. Brian did E-Mail Justin often, though. Damn near every day. Justin loved all the E-Mails he got. Brian missed him too.

1 YEAR GONE BY

Justin was leaning back against Emmett, watching Michael and David dance. Babylon was packed, celebrating their 'King's' 19th birthday. Justin wore the cowry shell pendant that Brian sent him, having sworn he'd never remove it. Emmett was proud when Justin turned down every trick that approached him.

"Well, Baby, Aunty Em and Uncle Teddy have got to go. We have work in the morning." Emmett announced when Michael and David returned.

Hugs and kisses went around once everyone got outside, then they all headed to their cars to go home.

2 YEARS GONE BY

Brian was home at last. He didn't know that two years could be so long and lonely. At this moment, he just wanted to go home and rest. Being 32 sucked. Once he made it home, he called up the diner to let Debbie know he was home and that he'd see everyone tomorrow, that he currently needed sleep.

"Brian, there's a certain young man who wants to talk to you. His mommies are eating." Debbie chuckled.

"Dada!!" Gus squealed into the phone.

"Hey there, Sonny Boy." Brian chuckled.

"He missed you, Brian." Debbie's voice returned.

"I missed him too." Brian paused. "Where's Justin?"

"Honey, I don't know how to tell you this." Debbie hesitated.

"Out with it, Debbie." Brian said coolly.

"He's with Michael and David." She said.

"I know that, Debbie." Brian sighed.

"They're lovers. All three of them." Debbie murmured.

"I see." Brian hung up.

He narrowed his eyes and rose, to hell with sleep, he needed to pay Michael and the good Doctor a visit. Now.

**************

Michael ideally stroked Justin's back, relaxing in the afterglow of another fabulous love making session with the two most incredible men he'd ever met, aside from Brian. David was currently in the shower getting ready to go meet a pregnant woman who was in need of his help as her labor coach. The last four months were the best he'd ever have.

Justin had started to fall in love with David and Michael as friends, but before they knew it, the three were sharing a relationship. At first, Justin was only allowing the two men to kiss him or just hold him intimately. As he grew use to the idea of being with both of them, he allowed blowjobs or hand jobs. By the second month, David and Michael were making love to THEIR own Golden Boy.

Michael was brought out of his musing by a pounding on the front door. Pulling his sweat pants on, he hurried down the stairs and opened the door to come face to face with a pissed off Brian Kinney.

"Where is he?" Brian demanded.

"He's sleeping." Michael frowned.

"Go get him. Now. I'll wait." Brian walked past Michael and perched on the arm of the couch to wait.

**************

Michael sat on the stairs as Brian and Justin tore into each other, blaming the other for what happened between Justin, Michael, and David. Michael knew this day was coming and that there was nothing he could do to stop this.

**************

Brian said nothing as Justin sat on the couch crying, having told Brian that he did love him still but Michael and David filled that loneliness he felt while Brian was gone. That it was all consented and that there would be no regrets or hurt feelings when it ended.

Brian walked over to Justin and sat beside him, pulling him into his arms for a tight and protective embrace.

"I love you, Brian. I really do." Justin sniffed.

"I know, Baby." Brian murmured, kissing the top of Justin's head. "I love you too, Justin."

Michael knew what he and David shared with Justin was over, but he was ready for it. He still had his David, his beautiful Doctor. Brian needed Justin and Justin needed Brian. That's just how things were. Michael rose and hugged the two, kissing each of them good night. He watched the two leave and murmured a soft prayer, wishing the two of his best friends only the best in life. With a big smile, Michael locked up and headed to bed to wait for his beloved David to get home.
