Fantasy Season 5
Hunches, Long Shots, and Intuition
Justin closed his notebook, and pushed it aside. Tonight's studying was proving to be an exercise in futility. He couldn't concentrate. The troubled young man told himself that it was the silence of the loft. If Brian was home there would surely be an old Betty Davis movie playing in the background, or the sound of Brian's voice chatting on the telephone with Michael. Justin tapped the side of the mini aquarium on Brian's desk to awaken the only pet Brian had ever welcomed into his home. "It's just too quiet here champ." Justin said to Ali, Brian's inquisitive blue beta. The fighting fish swam to the edge of the tank nearest Justin as if he was truly interested in what he had to say. "Who am I kidding? I can't concentrate because I keep thinking about that fragrance I smelled in Brian's office. I KNOW it was Tony's." Justin opened up to his aquatic friend.
After assuring Daphne that he would drop the subject, Justin had quietly continued to try to unravel the mystery surrounding the scent he detected in Brian's office. What Daphne said made perfect sense. Since nearly everyone was now wearing Tony's cologne, reason dictated that it was completely plausible that the cologne Justin smelled was that of the UPS delivery man. However Justin refused to doubt his own memory. There was something about the crisp fragrance of verbena, combined with Tony's body chemistry that gave off a sultry, distinct aroma that Justin had not smelled on anyone else. The scent was undeniable. How many times had Justin caught a whiff of it when Tony walked by? How many times had it lulled him to sleep when he laid sprawled across Tony's chest? No, Justin was certain that he would know that smell anywhere. However the question still remained. How in the world could Tony have gotten in, and out of Kinnetics without anyone seeing him?
When confidentially asked, Brian's assistant Cynthia denied that Tony had ever been to Brian's new office, and Justin accepted her word. It was hard to believe that Cynthia would lie to him just to cover-up for Brian. Justin always felt that Cynthia liked him. Indeed, she was the only one who welcomed him when Brian invited Justin to become part of the Kinnetics team. Even after the explosive incident surrounding the firing of Brian's head graphic artist Wyatt Gillian, it was Cynthia who jumped right in to help Justin set up for Brian's presentation. ..."Wait a minute, that's it champ!" Justin said out loud. "Tony met with Brian in his office while we were setting up for Brian's presentation. There was no one at the front desk to see him come in, and he must have left before Cynthia, and I finished."
Now with his suspicions substantiated Justin looked at his watch. It was almost nine o'clock. Brian should have called him by now. The young man picked up the telephone receiver, and dialed Brian's room at the Hilton in Atlanta. When after several rings there was still no answer, Justin's next move was to call Brian's cell phone. He was about to press the first number when something stopped him. Whether it was divine intervention, a hunch, or just plain old lover's intuition Justin redialed the Hilton, this time the front desk. "Please connect me with Anthony Massey's suite." he said.
"I'm sorry, but Mr. Massey isn't accepting any calls at this time. May I take a message?" The Hilton operator said.............................

Tony sat upright in bed with his back propped against the headboard. It had been a memorable evening thus far, one that he would never forget, no matter how hard he tried. What started out as a rational, simple plan had backfired miserably, and now threatened to forever destroy the lives of two people that he loved. Yes, loved was the operative word, Tony finally admitted to himself as he lit his cigarette. He took a long drag, then looked over at the auburn hair sleeping on the pillow next to him. Once again Tony asked himself what the hell had happened.
The self made millionaire had built his fortune on hunches, and his own intuition. How could he have been so far off base with this one? Tony was so sure that what he felt for Brian was nothing more than lust. All he needed was one night to put to rest that gnawing urge, then he would have finally been able to do the right thing, and bow out of Justin and Brian's lives forever. It must have been the element of surprise that threw him off. Tony was ready for the whore of Babylon who frequented its backroom, and turned tricks in the alley. What he wasn't prepared for was the angel who so sweetly melted into his arms, and surrendered his life into Tony's hands when Brian allowed Tony to fuck him without the courtesy of a condom. Christ, it felt incredible.
The AIDS epidemic had changed the way that gay men conducted their sexual lives forever. It had been years since Tony touched a partner without a proper prophylactic between them. Blood tests twice a year, virus killing lubricants, curtailing his number of sexual partners, eliminating anonymous sex. All of the new things that had to be done just for a piece of ass at times made it seem almost not worth the trouble, especially for someone like Tony who came of age during an era of sexual freedom. Tonight's intercession brought back wicked recollections of steamy nights of nasty, no holds barred fucking, with fountains of semen, and cum drenched sheets like the one that now laid draped across Brian's body. Tony could feel his dick responding once again. Shit, he needed some air.
The sudden movement of the bed stirred Brian. Still in his semiconscious state he reached his arm across to the warm, vacant spot beside him. "What's the matter, baby?" Brian opened his eyes, and lifted his face from the pillow. For a moment he expected to find Justin's blond head laying next to him. "Shit, Justin!" Brian immediately turned over, and sat upright. What time was it? He pressed the button on his watch. The illuminated dial showed almost midnight. Damn, he should have called Justin hours ago. The panicked lover scrambled out of bed to check the cell phone in his suit jacket pocket. Good, there had been no calls from Justin. He must have fallen asleep after studying. The evening with Neo Pharmaceuticals had run longer than Brian expected. Considering the lateness of the hour, and Justin's early morning finals, there was really no need to disturb him. Brian formulated his lie as he fumbled for his clothing via the moonlight that beamed through the glass balcony doors of Tony's suite.
Damn that Anthony Massey, and his stupid plan. Talk about the mother of all mistakes, this had to be it. Brian should have followed his intuition, and left well enough alone. He should have never come to Tony's room. What the fuck was he thinking, and what the hell was he going to do now? Brian had anticipated that Tony would be a proficient tactician when it came to sexual performance, but where the hell did he learn that French Kiss? It wasn't often that someone could thrill the pride of Babylon with something new, and different, but Tony had succeeded. Indeed Tony's tongue had gone where no tongue had ever gone before. Brian could still feel the gentle, yet deliberate probing that curled his toes, changed the pitch of his voice, and had him climbing the bedpost. "Shit!" Brian struggled to stuff his ever hardening dick into his briefs. Would he ever be able to forget the expression on Tony's face, when the consummate "top" diversified his portfolio, and lowered himself onto Brian's cock. Tony took every inch like a man, then fucked him like a seasoned bottom. Christ, he was incredible.
"Get in there!" Brian continued to fight with his dick. He had to get dressed, and away before Tony returned. It was bad enough that he had betrayed Justin's trust. One more look into Tony's brown eyes, and Brian feared that he would never be able to look away again. Who would have thought that Brian could lose himself so easily, and place his life into the hands of someone other than Justin? For Brian Kinney to have sex without a condom was unheard of. To allow someone to "top" him without a condom was an impossibility, an impossibility that Tony made happen with just the sound of his voice. "Relax Precious." Brian could still hear Tony's whisper. It was nothing less than magical. How at home he felt in Tony's arms. Brian didn't recognize himself anymore. It was as if he was a breathless fourteen year old again, and being touched for the very first time. "Where's my fucking shoe?" Brian kneeled down to search under the bed.
"Your shoe is at the foot of the bed." Tony pointed.
Brian looked up to find Tony wrapped in a white terry robe, and standing in the balcony doorway. The moonlight behind him made the silver in Tony's hair glisten giving off an almost halo-like effect. Brian watched Tony's silhouette remove a cigarette from his pocket, and place it between his lips. "I didn't know you smoked." Brian said.
Tony lit the cigarette, and took a long drag. "I don't smoke. I haven't smoked in twenty years." He said, and walked back out onto the balcony.
Brian reluctantly followed, and stood in the doorway. "I have to go now." he said.
"I know." Tony continued to gaze out over the hazy Atlanta night below.
"It was fun, but I'm glad it's all over. I'm glad we got it all out of our systems." Brian said.
"Me too." Tony took another long drag from his cigarette.
"I'll see you." Brian said, then headed toward the front door.
Tony turned around, and followed him. "Brian."
"What?"
"I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry that things got carried away. I want you to know that I get tested twice a year, and I always use condoms, so you don't have to worry." Tony assured him.
"I wasn't worried. Goodbye." Brian resumed walking toward the door.
"Goodbye." Tony said.
Brian had made it to the front door when he suddenly stopped, and turned back around. "Tony, I'm in love with Justin. You know it would break his heart if he ever found out about this." he said.
"Would it?" Tony begged to differ. "Would it break his heart, or would it be exactly what he's wanted all along, to have us both. I know you love Justin. I love him too. If it wasn't for Justin you, and I would have never found each other. He's the catalyst that brought us together, and he's the bond that holds us together. I can't see my life without either one of you."
"Where have you been, Mr. Massey?" Brian chuckled. "Hasn't anybody ever told you that threesomes never work?"
"I love you, Brian."
"DON'T SAY THAT!"
"Why not? It's true."
"Tony don't you understand that love has nothing to do with it? It doesn't matter how you, and I feel about each other. I have to make a choice, and that choice has to be Justin." Brian decided, then turned to leave.
Tony walked over to where Brian stood, and enfolded him in his arms. "That's where you're wrong, Precious. Love has everything to do with it," he said. "Brian, I've built my fortune on hunches, long shots, and following my intuition. Don't doubt me on this one, Precious. I've never been so sure about anything, or anyone in my life. I know I can make you happy. I know I can make you BOTH happy, if you'll just let me. Please let me."
Brian closed his eyes, and leaned back into Tony's embrace. "I hope you know what you're doing." he sighed.

Daphne exited off of the highway, and weaved her way through late night traffic. "Justin this is crazy, what about your finals in the morning?" She reminded her friend.
"To hell with my finals!" Justin said. "This is more important. I have to prove to myself that I'm not crazy."
"I can't see what good is this going to do? What are you going to say when you get there, what CAN you say? I've got a bad feeling about this Justin. Don't go to Atlanta. Wait here, and talk to Brian when he gets back." Daphne implored him.
"No. I have to let them know that little Justin is not their fool. I'm going to catch those two bitches red-handed." Justin hissed.
Daphne screeched to a halt in front of the passenger unloading zone of Pittsburgh International airport. "Be careful Justin." She gave her friend a final warning.
"Thanks Daph." Justin said, and slammed the car door shut behind him.
