Fate Wins Out

Part 10

Three days later, Justin found himself entering Brian’s loft, hoping to learn more about his boyfriend after spending some time on his home turf. He followed Brian inside and was impressed in what he saw. The loft was exactly what he expected it would be, spacious and elegant, reflecting the passion of the man who owned it. After putting his luggage down, Justin spun around and took Brian in his arms.

“This is beautiful, Brian. Are you sure you really want to leave it all behind?” Justin asked, only somewhat teasing. Ever since they agreed that Brian would move back to Pittsburgh, Justin couldn’t help but worry that he would change his mind and decide to stay in Europe.

“I’m not leaving anything behind, Justin. You are all that I need. Now come with me. There is something in my bedroom that I want to show you.” Brian said seductively as he led the blond towards the bedroom.

After a couple rounds of love making, Brian and Justin were in the kitchen preparing dinner when the doorbell rang.

“Are you expecting anyone?” Justin asked, looking over at Brian with concern. He didn’t think he was ready to meet any of Brian’s friends yet. Everything was still so new to him and he wasn’t sure how to react to it all.

“No one knows I’m back except for Cynthia. I’m sure it’s her, trying to figure out what has me selling No Regrets and moving to the states. Stay here and I’ll get rid of her.” Brian said as he made his way to the living room to answer the door. He and Justin were wearing bathrobes. He didn’t think it was the appropriate time to introduce the two of them.

Justin listened to his words and his heart dropped by what they implied. Apparently, Brian didn’t want Cynthia to know about him. He couldn’t help but wonder why he was keeping their relationship a secret. Without being noticed, he listened to their conversation from the doorway.

“Cynthia! What are you doing here? Did you miss me that much that you had to rush over here the minute my plane landed?” Brian joked as he kissed her cheek.

“No, you asshole. Your plane landed hours ago. I gave you some time to get settled first. Now I want some answers.” Cynthia demanded, as she sat on the couch waiting.

“Answers? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Brian feigned innocence.

“Don’t play that game with me, Kinney. I want to know what caused you to sell the company and move to Pittsburgh, and I’m not leaving here till you come clean.” She stated, glaring at Brian to show she meant business.

“Oh, alright. I’ll tell you, but you have to promise not to say I told you so.” Brian conceded, knowing he had to be honest with the woman who became his friend since going to work for him five years ago.

“I promise. Now spill it.” She agreed, anxious to hear his story.

“I found him.” Brian said without further explanation.

“Him? Him who?” Cynthia asked, confused.

“The one.” Brian answered without elaborating, knowing she would get the hint.

“You mean you fell in love? Oh, Brian! I am so happy for you! Who is he? Where did you meet him? What’s he like? When can I meet him?” Cynthia bombarded him with questions as she grabbed him in a tight hug.

“Cyn, slow down. His name is Justin. I met him in Pittsburgh. He’s everything I was never looking for, and you can meet him now, since he’s eavesdropping in the doorway listening to our conversation.” Brian answered with a smirk as he watched Justin come out of hiding. He saw the tears brimming in his eyes and knew he heard everything. He saw the look of love in his blue eyes and thanked God once again for bringing the man into his life.

“Hi. I’m Justin. Brian has told me a lot about you.” He introduced himself, pulling his eyes away from Brian to meet Cynthia. He felt foolish for thinking that Brian was trying to keep him a secret.

“It’s so nice to meet you, Justin. Anyone who can tame Brian Kinney is okay in my book.” She shook Justin’s hand, noticing the obvious attraction the men had for each other.

“Now if you don’t mind, Cynthia. Justin and I were in the middle of making dinner.” Brian said, as he came up behind Justin and wrapped his arms around him, resting his chin on the other man’s head.

“Alright, I’m going. Will I see you at the office tomorrow? The sale doesn’t go through until next week so it’s still your turf. There are some things you need to go through before the locks are changed.” Cynthia explained.

“Yeah. We’ll come by in the morning and see what needs to be packed up, although, I think I took most of my stuff when I retired. Feel free to take anything you want before the new owners come in. Do you plan on staying on after I’m gone?” Brian asked, knowing that Cynthia would have a hard time adjusting to the sale once it was done.

“I’m not sure. Bill and I were discussing it last night. He thinks that maybe we should think about relocating, too. He’s been wanting to move for awhile, but he knew I was happy with you. Now that you’re going to be gone, there is nothing stopping us. Since he’s a salesman, he can find work anywhere. Who knows, Kinney? One day we might just show up on your doorstep.” She joked as she made her way to the door.

“Not if I don’t give you my new address, Cyn. Now go. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Brian chuckled as he shut the door behind her. As soon as he turned around, Justin threw himself in his arms, kissing him passionately. When the kiss ended, Brian had to catch his breath before speaking.

“What was that for?” He asked, seeing a strange look in Justin’s face.

“Did you mean what you said? That I’m the one?” Justin asked, breathlessly.

“The one and only, and if that’s the response I’ll get whenever I tell someone, I’m going to be shouting it from the rooftops.” Brian laughed.

“I’m sorry. It’s just that…I thought you were keeping me a secret by the way you told me to wait in the kitchen while you got rid of Cynthia.” Justin explained, sheepishly.

“Don’t you ever apologize for kissing me like that! As for keeping you a secret, I thought you may have felt more comfortable meeting her in something other than a robe. I guess I was wrong.” Brian said with a smirk.

“Shit!” Justin exclaimed as he looked down at his body. “I forgot I was wearing this. What is she going to think?” Justin asked, blushing.

“That I was fucking your brains out before she got here.” Brian replied. He couldn’t help but laugh at Justin’s innocence.

“That’s not funny, Brian. I am so embarrassed.” Justin grumbled as he walked back to the kitchen.

“Why don’t we forget about Cynthia and finish making dinner? I need to keep my strength up if I am going to resume fucking your brains out.” Brian suggested.

“Oh, alright. If you insist.” Justin conceded with a smile.

“Oh, I insist.” Brian said, kissing him deeply to prove his point.

The rest of the week passed by quickly. Brian wanted to show Justin the city, but all Justin wanted to do was stay in bed. Brian reluctantly agreed, but only after Justin promised to spend one day doing what Brian wanted to do. On their first full day there, the men got up early and went to the agency. Brian packed up the few things he wanted to take with him. He said goodbye to his staff, promising to keep in touch with the ones he was close to, dropping his things at the loft before heading out to the wharf. They strolled along the pier, looking out at the boats as they made their way along the water. As the sun started to set, they hopped into a cab and went to dinner at The Admiralty. It was a romantic French restaurant in an exclusive corner of London. The food was incredible. They sat in a dark corner feeding each other, and sharing a bottle of wine. A few of the patrons gave them looks of disgust, but they were too busy staring into each other’s eyes to notice. It was a wonderful day and Justin had to admit that he was happy that Brian had forced him out of the loft. It was a day he would never forget.

The two lovers kissed in the cab home. Though tenderly at first, passion overtook them and they didn’t stop, button after button was being opened as their need intensified. Grateful that they arrived quickly at the loft, Brian paid as Justin scrambled out of the cab. Brian ran after him, scooping him up in his arms after the door was opened. Justin had ripped his shirt off as he had run for the door. Brian followed suit. Neither one had anything under their pants. Grabbing his condoms and lube from his pants as he pulled them off, he smiled up at Justin. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have found him. Justin spread himself apart and leaned against the couch. Both didn’t want to wait a moment longer. Brian wanted to have his dessert first, but Justin stopped him as he was kneeling down to indulge himself.

“Later, Bri. I need you now. Pleeaase!”

Brian couldn’t say no. He sheathed and lubed and then started to lube again, this time his fingers, but Justin stopped him again. All he wanted was to feel the man inside of him. Pushing in, Justin let out a gasp but pushed back telling Brian that he was ready. Their frenzied fire fueled, they knew it would be quick, but Brian leaned over Justin, pumping his cock as he thrust inside his newfound home. No one had ever felt so good.

Collapsing, upon Justin after their mutual release, Brian whispered to Justin. “I love you.”

Justin couldn’t help the small smile that escaped his lips. “I love you, too.”

On the morning of their flight, Justin woke up to find Brian sitting alone in the living room, lost in thought. He quietly approached him and sat down on his lap. The older man barely acknowledged him.

“Brian, is everything okay?” Justin asked hesitantly.

“Yeah, everything is fine. I guess I’m just feeling a little sentimental. This has been my home for the last ten years. It’s where I made a name for myself, where I built my career. It’s going to be harder than I thought to leave it behind.” Brian replied softly.

“So you are having second thoughts.” Justin stated, his sadness evident in his voice.

“No. I’m not having second thoughts. I want to be with you. There is not a doubt in my mind about that. I’m just a little sad about leaving my home. I’ll be alright.” Brian said reassuringly.

“Is there anything I can do to make it easier?” Justin asked, wanting to erase the sadness in Brian’s eyes.

“You being here with me makes it easier. As long as I have your love, I‘ll be just fine.” Brian whispered with emotion.

“You will always have my love.” Justin assured him before kissing him deeply and making him forget his sadness.
