Coming Out

Chapter 12

Justin woke up the next morning to the feeling of someone climbing into his bed. He was startled at first, until he heard Brian’s voice in his ear.

“Relax, Sunshine. It’s only me.” He whispered, taking the soft earlobe into his mouth and sucking on it gently.

The sensation of Brian’s warm mouth on his ear, mixed with the feel of strong arms around him was causing his morning hard on to become even harder.

“Brian, what are you doing in here?” Justin moaned, not really caring what the reason was. As much as he loved having Brian living there with him, it had been torture to know that the boy was down the hall every night, and there was nothing that he could do about it. They’d agreed to play things really cool when his family was home, but it hadn’t been easy.

“Your dad had to go into the office for a few hours, and your mom and Molly went out to run some errands before the barbeque. We’re here all by ourselves, Sunshine. What do you think we should do to pass the time?” Brian asked, running his tongue along Justin’s jaw.

“Well I don’t know about you, but I’m going to take a shower,” Justin replied, jumping off the bed, and enjoying the shocked look on Brian’s face.

“We finally got the house to ourselves, and you want to go take a shower?” Brian questioned, unable to believe that the blond didn’t want the same thing he wanted.

“That’s exactly what I want. You coming?” Justin asked, with a sparkle in his eyes.

“Why you little shit!” Brian exclaimed, jumping off the bed and chasing Justin into the bathroom, laughing all the way.

After a couple of earth shattering blow jobs, the boys washed each other with care and got out of the shower, clean and satisfied. They got dressed and headed down stairs just as Jennifer and Molly came home.

“Hi, boys. What are you both doing up so early? I figured you would sleep in this morning, taking advantage of the empty house,” Jennifer asked, noticing the look that passed between the boys as she spoke.

“Well, we figured you’d need some help setting up for the barbeque. We don’t have to leave to pick up the girls for a couple of hours. Do you want us to set up the tables and chairs out back?” Brian offered.

“That would be great, Brian. Justin usually sits around and watches me do all the work every year,” Jennifer replied, giving he son her best ‘you should be ashamed of yourself’ look.

“Not this year. Come on Sun…I mean Justin, let’s get to work,” Brian said, thankful that he managed to stop himself from using Justin’s nickname.

“Thanks a lot Brian. You’re not helping me here. I’m going to end up missing my favorite Saturday morning cartoons,” Justin whined, while following Brian out of the house.

Once the yard was all set up and the food was prepared, the boys headed out to pick up the girls. Daphne was the first one to be picked up since she was the closest.

“Hey Justin,” she said as she climbed into the back seat of Justin’s car. “So this is the famous Brian Kinney. I’ve heard so much about you, even though Justin has been trying to keep you to himself.”

“That’s not true, Daph, I’ve just been busy lately,” Justin said in his defense.

“Oh, I know all about how busy you’ve been,” she giggled

“So, what exactly have you been telling her?” Brian interrupted, trying to hold back a smile.

“Too much, obviously,” Justin admitted, making a mental note to kill his friend at a later date.

“Well, I hope you at least told her how good I am,” Brian chuckled, unable to hold back his amusement.

The three of them broke out into a fit of laughter and were on their way. After picking up Cynthia, they headed back to the Taylor’s, discussing their plan for the day.

“Now let me get this straight, you want to give your parents the impression that we’re a couple?” Daphne asked.

“No, not necessarily. Look, we just thought it might seem a bit weird if they only ever saw us together. You two are the only friends we have that know we’re gay. It will just make it look like we have other interests. You don’t have to act any differently then you normally would. We’ll just hang out and have a good time,” Justin explained.

“Oh damn, and I was hoping to finally get a chance to kiss Brian,” Cynthia teased.

“Hey, the day’s still young, Cyn. You never know what’s gonna happen,” Brian teased back.

When they reached their destination, they headed into the back yard to join the barbeque, already in full swing. They made their way over to Justin’s parents to introduce Cynthia.

“Mom, Dad, this is Cynthia. She works at Ryder with Brian and me. Cynthia, these are my parents,” Justin offered.

“Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. What a lovely home you have here,” Cynthia said shyly. She was suddenly nervous about their plan.

“Thank you Cynthia. It’s nice to meet some of Justin’s and Brian’s friends. They spend so much time together, I was wondering if they even had other friends,” Jennifer joked.

“Kids, why don’t you go get something to eat? I’m about to fire up the grill, but there’s a table full of food set up already. Justin, remember when your mother promised not to go over board with the food again this year? She lied!” Craig exclaimed, laughing at the light punch he received from his wife.

“Come on Dad, you didn’t actually believe her, did you? She makes the same promise every year while we’re eating leftovers for a week,” Justin laughed.

“Okay you two, enough of that. Justin, go feed your friends. Enjoy yourselves, kids,” Jennifer said, dragging Craig over to the grill.

They went to get something to eat, and then found an empty table across the yard. They spent the day talking, eating, and getting to know each other better. Brian couldn’t keep the smile off his face all day. He’d never done this kind of stuff at his parents’ house, and was once again reminded of how lucky he is to have the Taylor’s in his life.

Justin couldn’t keep his eyes off Brian. He could see how happy he was just being here with his friends without the worry of what was going to happen when he went home. Before Brian had moved in, Justin could always tell when the day was coming to an end by the haunted look that would appear in his eyes. He didn’t know what the look meant until the night he met the Kinney’s, but now he understood and he was glad to know that he wouldn’t have to see that look again. Brian was safe now, and Justin thanked God everyday for bringing Brian into his life.

Later that night after the sun went down, Craig pulled out the fireworks he had just for this occasion; another tradition that the family had shared. Everybody crowded around on blankets and laid back to watch the show. Brian was starting to get antsy after spending a day with Justin but not being able to touch him. They were lying side by side with the girls on either side of them and the need to touch his Sunshine was overwhelming. He needed the night to end soon so he could get a few minutes alone with the boy after taking the girls home.

Justin was lying on a blanket next to Brian, wishing he could be in Brian’s arms. The day went well and they had a lot of fun. Daphne and Cynthia seemed to hit it off, already making plans to go shopping together the next day. The only damper on the whole day was the fact that he and Brian had to hide their feelings. He wished he could just tell his parents what was going on, but that was out of the question. It was going to be a very long year trying to hide his relationship from them, but it was worth it. He had Brian; that’s all that really mattered. Unable to keep from touching him any longer, Justin moved his arm to his side and took Brian’s hand in his. They spent the next half hour watching the fireworks, holding hands in the dark, and just enjoying being together.

Jennifer was enjoying the fireworks as she thought about what a great day it was. This was her favorite time of year. She was a born hostess and loved to have people gather at her house. They’ve been throwing their annual barbeque ever since Justin was a baby, and she never got tired of it. Looking over at the blanket where Brian and Justin were watching the fireworks with their friends, she thought back to how happy Brian had seemed, and couldn’t help but feel a touch of sadness for the little boy who didn’t have a loving family to share these moments with. Shaking those thoughts away, she reminded herself that he was with them now and he was safe. There would only be happy memories for him from now on. Knowing that she should look away, she couldn’t seem to stop herself from watching her boys. She finally had the answer to the question that has been plaguing her mind for weeks She spent the next half hour trying to decide what to do next while watching her son and Brian, lying in the dark, holding hands.
