Elspeth

With a knowing look over her shoulder and a deep throated chuckle, she started
her horse racing down the hill. Smiling, Methos watched his
wife of the last 10 years. Upon hearing Elspeth, he felt a warmth fill his
being, and he set his horse to follow, finally reaching her as they
approached the manor. Methos vaulted from his horse to swing her down from
hers. As he slid her down his body to claim a passionate kiss, he
couldn't help but notice the starting of silver shimmering in her rich auburn
hair.
"Thomas, I'm going up to get the smell of this horse off me."
Looking coyly up at him she asked, "Would you like to join me?"
"Imp!" he said with a slap to her backside that pushed her up against him
so she could feel how much he wanted to do just that. "I can't right now,
El. I noticed some problems as we rode around today. I just want to
make sure they are taken care of before I forget."
"All right, my love, just don't forget to wash up yourself. I don't like
smelling horse throughout my dinner."
Thomas, as Methos was going by these days, watched his wife climb the stairs
with a worried frown on his face. Turning with a chuckle he
headed down the hall to his office, he still found it hard to believe that
she was his wife. He recocked the first time he had ever met
Elspeth.

Ten years earlier
He was on his way to Scotland to visit Connor when he literally ran into
her. It was just outside of Wakefield, in the early morning fog.
The kind that is so thick it muffles everything. He had wanted to get an
early start. Ignoring the innkeeper's warnings, he set out anyway.
After a few hours, the weirdness the fog was creating started to get to him.
All of a sudden, another rider appeared out of nowhere, causing
both horses to rear up. Methos was always on the alert, and was able to keep
his seat. However, the other rider wasn't so lucky. After
calming his horse down, Methos looked at the other rider and realized with
a start that it was a woman. Looking at her sprawled on the
ground, he couldn't help laughing at the sight she presented him.
Upon hearing the laughter roll over her, Elspeth completed the picture
by giving him a very unlady-like dressing down, which only made him laugh
even harder. There she sat, sprawled over the ground with a portion of her
skirt over her head, showing off more than was proper. But what had brought
on the laughter was that she was wearing the most horrendous riding habit
he had ever seen. First of all, it was terribly outdated. The outfit was
black, vibrant red, and the brightest yellow he knew of. Now granted, this
color combination might not have looked bad on some people, but it made her
complexion look down-right sickly. It also clashed with her auburn hair,
which was a riot of unruly curls. Her hat sat crookedly on her head, and
no matter how she tried to straighten it, it just wouldn't do what she wanted.
That's when he noticed her face.
It wasn't a beautiful face but it wasn't plain, either. Across her upturned
nose was a smattering of freckles, and her mouth although wide,
would be nice if she smiled. Just when she broke off her tirade, she looked
up at him. What he saw there left him breathless. Her eyes were beautiful!
They still showed sparks from her anger, but were a color he had only seen
in fabric. They were violet and reminded him of
a rich, warm velvet. He realized that he was still on his horse and hers
had run off. The sun was up and burning away the fog. Getting
down, he checked to see if she was all right.
This, of course, set her off on her tirade again, and he realized the trip he had dreaded making had turned out to be quite enjoyable. When she refused his offer of assistance, Methos knew that he just had to follow her home. He wanted to know more about this strange creature.
Of course, Methos had told her it was for her own safty. This had only made
her angrier at him. He just couldn't help it! The smile just
wouldn't leave his face.
Upon reaching her home, which he noticed was in sad need of repair, he was
made welcome by her father. The man had taken to him right away and so he
was invited to stay. That was it, he had never left. He notified Connor that
he wasn't coming and set about winning the heart of the evasive Elspeth.
It had taken awhile, she was very resistant. First, he showed her that he wasn't a freeloader by helping out where he could, and not being afraid to get his hands dirty right alongside her. He knew any offer of money would be taken as an insult to this prideful one. Methos couldn't help but think back at those times with a smile. How she had fought it at first. He knew that Elspeth hated it when he and her father would sit down to a game of chess. Even more so when they would go out to ride the estate and discuss different methods of farming. However, what she hated the most were the quiet evenings, when they would all sit by the fire reading. She felt that that time belonged to her and her father.
Methos liked those evenings the best because he could observe Elspeth without her knowing it. He would sit there with a book and watch her at her mending. Sometimes, if he was lucky, Elspeth would even read aloud to her father. The lilt of her voice, so soft and caressing, could arouse him to the point of being painful.
Methos really enjoyed it when he happened to come upon Elspeth while she
was helping the few servants they had with the housework. He
recocked one day when he had come upon her while she was standing on a ladder.
Elspeth was wearing an old dress that was too short, as high up as she was,
he could see much more of her legs than was decent. Leaning over, she
almost spilled out of her top. The dress was
threadbare and tight in all the right spots, as far as he was concerned.
Just the sight of Elspeth at that moment was almost enough to bring
him
to his knees. Of course, he hadn't let her know how she was effecting him,
for fear of scaring her off. So he just kept on walking.

A sudden knock on the door jarred Methos out of his pleasant memories. The
estate manager was there to discuss the problems that Methos had seen earlier
on his ride and the sooner he took care of it the better. Winter would be
upon them and he didn't want anyone to suffer from something that could have
been fixed, and wasn't.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Elspeth was sitting before her bath brushing her
hair. She had seen the repairs that her husband wanted to make.
She could not believe how lucky she was to have married such a wonderful
man. Thomas was everything she had ever hoped to fine in a husband. He was
loving and considerate, yet at the same time demanding and strong.
Stepping into the bath, she thought about the other part of him, his
passion. With a giggle, she slid farther into the tub recocking those first
few months after meeting her husband. Oh, how she had
fought against her attraction to him.

That first day, after finally letting go of her anger, Elspeth realized just
how attractive this man was sitting up there on his horse. Naturally, Elspeth
wasn't going to let him know it. She had tried to keep Thomas at arms length,
but he always seemed to have a way of getting around that. Sometimes he wouldn't
even have to do anything. Elspeth enjoyed the evenings spent with her
father by the fire. Thomas would sit across from them reading in a
sprawl. This was the time she could watch him without being noticed. Dress
was always informal, so Thomas didn't wear a jacket or cravat, and it drove
her to distraction! He had those long legs of his stretched out, encased
in tight breeches and hussiers, and his shirt was opened at the collar. There
were many times she dreamed of unbuttoning that shirt further. Elspeth
loved listening to him talk with her father. Finally, it got so bad Thomas
started even invading her dreams.
One day, she had been up on a ladder, helping to clean the entrance hall
chandelier. She was wearing an old dress from her youth, so as to
save the wear and tear on the few good dresses that she had. Suddenly, she
heard a gasp and knew that Thomas had walked in. Knowing it
wasn't very proper, she ignored him and continued with her cleaning.
Leaning over to polish a spot, Elspeth knew that he was getting a good
look at her charms. She tried not to smile when Thomas walked by her as if
she wasn't there. But she had seen the bulge in his breeches
and that was proof enough that she was desired, that the gasp hadn't been
from disapproval or shock.
At the sight of him with his shirt open, sleeves rolled up, hair mussed by the wind, and those breeches, fitting him like a second skin, she felt a strange warmth center low between her legs. She had gotten off the ladder quickly, afraid her knees would suddenly fail to support her weight.

At the quick knock on the door, Elspeth looked up to see her maid walk in.
She was there to help her with her hair, and with a smile,
Elspeth gave herself over to her maid's gentle ministrations before drifting
back into her memories.

After that day on the ladder, things changed between them. She had stopped
being hostile, and Thomas became more attentive to her.
It all started simply enough, with a quiet afternoon stroll. It was so pleasant
that it soon became an everyday occurrence. This expanded then to include
early morning rides. He escorted her to soirees, and even to church. Then,
one day, while they were out riding, her horse stepped into a hole and threw
her. She was unharmed, but Thomas startled her with the speed at which he
left his horse to come to her.
Upon reaching her, Thomas first asked if she was all right. When she said
yes, he pulled her to him, covering her mouth with his own in
a kiss that took her breath away. Although it started out as an urgent kiss,
brought on by what she could only assume was fear or worry, she
used that to her advantage and returned the kiss while leaning into his embrace.
Thomas pulled her tighter to him as he deepened and gentled
the kiss. When his tongue entered her mouth, it caused a shiver she just
couldn't hide. Thomas started to pull back but she held him tightly to her.
All the feelings that she had held in check came rushing to her aid, and
although she was unsure and scared, she returned his kiss.
Hesitantly, she slid her tongue along his lips, the texture and flavor of him made her weak with longing. A low moan escaped her when they had finally broken apart to catch their breath. She was scared to look at him, to see the laughter in his face. Thomas lifted her face gently, forcing her to look at him. The love she saw in his eyes made her cry. Thomas gently wiped away her tears and then made her happier then she had ever been in her entire life by proposing. Of course she said yes.

Getting out of her bath, Elspeth smiled as she recocked those days. They
were the beginning, the start of all her happiness. Just these memories
made her wish that he was here with her, so she could kiss and taste this
man that she loved. How she loved the taste of her husband. But now was not
the time for memories if she was going to look her best for him at dinner.
Downstairs, Methos walked the estate manager out of his office before heading
up to his own bath. He refused to have a manservant and usually took care
of himself. This was a good thing, for if he did decide to stay, he would
one day have to age himself. Looking in the mirror, he realized the first
thing he was going to have to do was gradually add gray to his hair. Sliding
into the warm bath with a sigh, his thoughts turned back again to Elspeth.

They had been out riding, when Elspeth's horse stepped into a hole. As soon
as he had seen her fall, he was off his horse and by her side. He hadn't
realized that he could still get this scared over something. And when he
found that Elspeth was all right, he let his emotions take over and kissed
her lips. Licking and nipping at her lips until she opened her mouth for
him to explore. Although prompted by the urgent need to reassure himself
that she was unhurt, he quickly realized that he was being, perhaps, a bit
too overzealous and slowed the kiss accordingly.
That was when he felt her shiver. He started to pull away, thinking that he had scared her. However, Elspeth surprised him by pulling him closer to her and returning his kiss. Methos knew that Elspeth was nervous by the hesitancy she showed in sliding her tongue along his. He felt a shiver run along his spine at this innocent exploration of his mouth. Slowly he continued with his kiss, exploring her mouth until they both had to catch their breath. He was forced to raise Elspeth's face so that he could look into her eyes. What he saw there was love, and the uncertainy of what was to come next. That was when he knew just how much he loved her; when he realized he wanted to spend whatever amount of time that would be given them, he promptly proposed. She accepted right then and there.

Ten years later
As he got ready for dinner, he knew that never over the past 10 years, he
had never regretted his decision. Now, however, there was an important decision
he had to make, and it wasn't an easy one. Methos had to decide if
he stayed or if he was going to have to stage another death. If he stayed
he would have to tell Elspeth everything, and that scared him. As much as
he loved her, he had kept this a secret for ten years and he wasn't sure
how she would take it.
He descended the stairs, deep in thought, to the sitting room to meet his
wife.
Methos didn't have long to wait. When Elspeth walked into the room, he gasped,
unable to believe that she still had the power to take his breath away after
all this time. During dinner, they talked about the land, the people, and
their life together. At dessert, Methos presented Elspeth with a beautiful
diamond and amethyst necklace, which he said reminded him of her eyes. Elspeth
presented him with an old book that he had been looking for. She had managed
to find it for his collection.
Afterwards, Methos led Elspeth back upstairs. He wanted to see her in the
candlelight wearing nothing but the necklace . Once in the bedroom, he dismissed
her maid stating, "I'll be her maid tonight."
Elspeth moved and stood in front of the fire and waited. Watching her husband
move about the room, extinguishing half the candles and stirring the fire,
Elspeth felt like it was her wedding night all over again. Finally, he turned
and looked at this woman who had stolen his heart from the moment he had
met her those 10 years earlier. When Elspeth started to reach for the sash
of her dress, Methos stopped her and proceeded to undress her himself. He
did this very slowly, kissing and caressing her skin wherever it became exposed,
before going on to the next article of clothing.
Soon, she was left standing just in her stockings, garters, and the necklace
he had given her. Stepping back, he admired her standing thus in the
firelight. With his eyes, he took in her breasts, which were just the right
size to fill his hands. Gazing lower, his breathing increased at seeing her
narrow waist, leading to a slight flaring of her hips, then moving his eyes
lower to her shapely legs. At his tender scrutinty, her nipples hardened,
her breathing becoming faster and more erratic.
After catching her eye, he slowly removed his jacket and started to get rid of his cravat. When she started toward him, he held up his hand to stop her. She stopped and watched him slowly began unbuttoning his shirt, his gaze never left her face. Once he finished there, his hands went to his pants. His wife's tongue sneaked out to lick her lips. She could see that he was as excited by all this as she was. Quickly he divested himself of what was left of his clothing, giving his wife the chance to look him over as he had done her. Then, walking to her, he captured her lips in a passionate kiss that left them both breathing hard.
Methos picked Elspeth up and carried her to the bed, gently laying her in the center. Joining her, he kissed her again before moving down her lithe body to cup each of her breasts. Slowly he licked and nibbled at each little nub before drawing it into his mouth. After worshipping each breast, Methos slowly moved down her body. Elspeth moaned as she squirmed underneath him. Methos stopped for a moment to slip his tongue into her navel. Moving lower still, he gently removed each garter and hose as he nibbled his way down and back up her legs. Methos then pushed her legs open a little farther, so he could more easily reach her fire, for on fire she was. The rich auburn curls between her legs glistening with the proof. Slowly, he lowered his head and tasted her, running his tongue the length of her sex. Stopping at the nub of her womanhood, lavishing it with his tongue while he penetrated her with his fingers. Knowing that Elspeth was close to finding her release, Methos stopped and eased his own body back up hers, causing her to arch against him to get the full contact.
Upon reaching her mouth again, Methos felt her push him, urging him to
roll onto his back. Once he was on his back, Elspeth straddled
him and began her own explorations. After breaking off the kiss, she nibbled
her way down to his neck, which she knew to be a very sensitive
area for Thomas. Starting on one side, Elspeth nibbled her way around to
the other, before working her way down his chest. With her hands, she rubbed
Thomas' nipples until they were taut. Elspeth then replaced her hands with
her mouth bringing a groan from deep within him. Slowly
she moved lower, and mimicked his earlier move by inserting her tongue in
his navel before moving lower still. Finally, Elspeth nuzzled his
cock, inhaling his scent. Sucking in one only to release it and then the
other of his testicles, Elspeth watched as his penis jumped in response.
She started licking at the base of his erection but stopped short of the
head, knowing that it would drive him mad. When Thomas let
out a moan, Elspeth chuckled. When she finally did take his head into her
mouth he arched off the bed. She circled the tip of his erection
with her tongue before dipping her tongue into the slit. Tasting the precum,
she engulfed him in one movement. As Elspeth sucked, she
felt Thomas tangle his fingers into her hair to hold her down on him.
Methos knew he wasn't going to last much longer, and wanted to be inside her when he came. With what little self-control he had left, he pulled her up his body until he could taste himself on her lips and in her mouth. She straddled him again, he moved her into position with a slight nudge of his hands and surged up into her, filling her with one thrust. It didn't take long; they were both already on the edge. She moved on him once, twice, three times, then he felt the walls surrounding him start to tighten and convulse. That was all it took to send him flying over the edge to join her. After they had both calmed down, Elspeth moved to his side to be cradled in his embrace.
"Thomas, that was the best anniversary present I've ever had."
Upon hearing the love and contentment in his wife's voice Methos suddenly
made up his mind. "Elspeth, I have something very important to
tell you. We have had a wonderful life together, you and I. Don't you agree?"
Feeling her slight nod, Methos turned on his side to look at her.
"I need you to just listen and recock how much I love you." Taking a deep,
shaky breath, he said, "First of all, my real name is
Methos......"
