Destination: Earth--Northern California
Mission: To retrieve a probe that had accidentally been shot of by Quark years before. They weren't sure how much if any the chance discovery would change the timeline. Natalie was walking along the beach bored. // I don't know what I was thinking, coming here to relax. I hate the beach. Well, maybe not hate it but I can certainly come up with better places to go.// She had only been here a day, and yet it seemed like forever. As she walked along, she noticed a boardwalk in the distance and her spirits began to rise. Reaching the boardwalk, she went into the first shop that caught her eye. Inside were clothes in every shade of the rainbow. Immediately, she started trying on various outfits, finally choosing several before deciding on a few and leaving.
Natalie ran her hand down the silky material of her new skirt and top. The white lace up crop top and matching skirt was definitely cooler then what she had been wearing. With a sigh of satisfaction she stepped outside. Natalie had forgotten how bright the sun was and momentarily blinded, walking right into someone. "Oh! I'm sorry." She gasped as a pair of lean, muscular, arms wrapped around her to keep her from falling.
"That's all right." A low British accent said by her ear. Looking up she saw a deeply tanned face with dark hair and puppy dog eyes starring down at her but what really stopped her breath was the amazingly sexy white smile. "Let me introduce myself, I'm Dr. Julian Bashir. And you are?"
Natalie knew she was staring but couldn't help herself. "Uh...Nat...Natalie, Natalie Bradford."
"Well Natalie, It's nice to meet you. Are you here with someone?" He asked as he slowly released her.
"No...I mean, yes." She stammered, unable to turn away.
"Oh, well then I guess I had better let you get back to them." Julian said, looking a little disappointed.
"No!" Natalie slapped a hand over her mouth at her outburst. "I'm not really here with anyone. I came to the beach with some friends of a friend. I heard that they were coming here and asked for a lift. That's all. Looking nervously around, Natalie finally looked back at him as she asked, "Would you like to join me for a walk along the boardwalk?"
"Certainly!" Julian smiled down at her as he took her arm and placed it in his.
Smiling up at him, Natalie thought about the afternoon and hopefully to the delights that the night would have as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The afternoon had been perfect. Julian had been the perfect gentlemen but the underlying currents of sexual attraction where always there. They had talked about this in that. Natalie never gave the full truth about who she was or even where she lived. Which was ok as Julian was being just as evasive. As the sun was beginning to set, Julian led Natalie down off the boardwalk for a stroll in the surf. A nice breeze had picked up to cool off the heat of the day.
Natalie sighed as she leaned a shoulder against one of the pillars that was supporting the pier. Walking up behind her, Julian put his arms around her. "What is that sigh for?"
"I was just thinking of how much I wish you would kiss me." She said softly.
Julian put a hand under her chin and turned her face to his. As he was lowering his mouth to hers, he mummered, "Your wish is my command." At first it was soft and gentle, as if they were both afraid that the other would disappear. However, it quickly became more demanding. Natalie turned in his arms, never breaking off the kiss, and wrapped her arms around Julian. Natalie moaned as she leaned deeper into the kiss. She could feel the passion that had been simmering all day, boil over and flood her entire body, making every nerve ending tingle with the want of his touch.
Julian groaned, breaking off the kiss and began kissing his way down her throat when Natalie tilted her head back. Bringing up a hand, he teased a taunt nipple through the material of her top as he used his other hand to turn her more completely so that her back was to the pillar. Once he had her braced there, Julian allowed his other hand the freedom that he had given the first.
Natalie ran her hands across his shoulders and down his chest, returning the favor he was doing her. Wanting to feel his skin, she pushed her hands up under his shirt. When she found his nipples, Natalie raked her nails gently across them, bringing a groan from Julian. Pushing at his shirt, Julian pulled away from her.
Looking at the flushed woman before him, Julian could not believe he was doing this. It was against all the rules but ever since he had run into this woman, that's all he had done. Julian knew he had to be back at the drop off point in two days. He had already finished with his part of the away mission and given his report. The rest of the time was his to explore, as long as he didn't interfere with the timeline, he was fine.
Julian reached out his hand for hers and once he had it, he turned without another word and continued down the beach. Natalie was confused. Things had been fine until she had tried to take off his shirt. She knew that he wanted her. The evidence was straining at the front of his shorts. When he didn't say anything but held her hand tightly, she decided to keep quiet as well. She would let him make the next move.
After walking quite a distance and stepping through some rocks at a bend in the beach, Natalie made a small "oh" when she saw the small island bungalow nestled in the curve of the little cove. Julian smiled at her reaction to where he was staying. Walking up the steps, he turned to face her once more and took her face between his hands. Bending, he claimed her lips in a kiss that immediately had her weak in the knees. When Natalie leaned against him for fear of falling, Julian broke off the kiss and scooped her into his arms. Turning, he walked through the open door and straight into the bedroom.
Laying her in the center of the bed, he kissed her before moving away. "I'll be right back. Don't move." He quickly walked out the door and she could hear him in what she could only assume was the kitchen from the noises that were reaching her. Looking around the bedroom, Natalie smiled. It was just like something out of a tourist brochure. Big, open, windows that let the breeze stir the gauze drapes. Over head was a misqueto net the covered the bed at night. The bed she was laying upon was big and soft enough to sink into. The sheets were crisp and white.
At that moment, Julian walked back into the room with a bucket of ice in which a bottle of champagne was chilling and two glasses. Setting them down, he poured and handed one to Natalie with a smile. Taking the glass, she sipped at the cool liquor. Julian took a drink of his and set his glass back down. Bending down he kissed the champagne from her lips. Natalie kissed him back, enjoying the flavor of him and the champagne. Standing back up he removed his shirt and sat on the side of the bed.
Natalie took another sip of her champagne but this time let a little of it dribble down between her breast. Julian smiled at the acknowledged foreplay. Reaching over, he pulled at the string that was lacing her top together. Once the top was opened, he bent down and licked at the moisture there. Natalie set her glass down on the table beside the bed and leaned back among the pillows. Julian followed her down and climbed farther upon the bed.
Julian continued to lick and nibble at her breasts as he ran one of his hands down her leg and back up under her skirt. He was slightly surprised when he found nothing inhibiting his way to her moisture. Sliding a finger across her slit, she squirmed against him. Julian heard her moan when he finally slipped it inside. Gently he rubbed back and forth across her clit with his thumb as he moved his finger in and out of her. Soon, he added another as he bit down on one of her nipples, causing her to buck up against him.
Natalie thought that if he didn't take her soon she would die from the inability to get her release. Julian was using an uneven rhythm to keep her on the edge. Finally she could stand no more. Twining her fingers into his hair, she pulled until he left her breast and from between her legs. Claiming his lips in a deep, searching kiss, she released his head before using the leverage of her body to quickly flip them over. Breaking off the kiss Natalie kissed her way down his chest. Reaching one of his nipples, she began teasing it with her tongue as she straddled him and rubbed herself against his erection. As she moved to his other nipple, she reached between their bodies to tease the head of his penis. When he strained against her, Natalie knew that he was as much in need as she was. Kissing her way down she took hold of his shorts and pushed them down. Releasing his throbbing erection, Natalie, licked the precum from the tip as she pushed them farther down to where he could kick them off as she took him into her mouth.
Knowing the sense of urgency that she was feeling and was beginning to feel himself, Julian pushed up her skirt and entered her swiftly. Together they sighed at the feelings of being complete. That the part of themselves that had been missing was now back where it belonged. Soon the need to move was too strong upon them and they began the rhythm that had them both panting. Feeling the beginnings of her orgasm, Julian and Natalie increased their tempo and soon they were both falling over the edge. Natalie held him close as the trembling faded from their limbs. Sighing with happiness, she reached for her champagne glass. However much time they had together, she would cherish these memories and keep these romantic dreams within her heart.
Natalie was sitting in the hammock with Julian, looking out over the waves as they broke against the shore. It was a lazy afternoon and neither of them felt like doing much. Julian laid between Natalie's legs, leaning against her body as she stroked his hair. The past two days had been wonderful. They hadn't left the bungalow except to swim in the ocean or walk the beach in the cove at sunset. The rest of the time was spent talking and making love where ever they felt like it. The bed, the tub, in the kitchen, the hammock, and Natalie had even relented and done it on the beach itself.
Natalie knew that there was something Julian wanted to tell her but didn't know how to go about it. Finally, he took a deep breath, "Natalie, I'm going to have to leave soon."
"I know, so am I. People are going to start wondering where I've disappeared to." Natalie sighed.
Turning to face her, Julian looked her in the eye, "Listen, what I'm going to say to you is going to sound really strange. As a matter of fact, it's going to sound crazy but I'm not crazy. I'm from the future, and I'm here on a mission that I managed to get done early. That's why I've had so much time to spend with you. I could be contacted any time now. Once it happens, I'll be leaving and as much as I want to, I don't think we'd ever be able to see each other again."
Julian had expected any reaction but the one that he got. Natalie chuckled. It wasn't a laugh that said he was crazy or even that of fear. It was a rich, chuckle that was followed by a smile. "Julian, I believe you. I really do. With everything that I've gone through and found out about in this past year. I believe that anything is possible. Including the fact that one day we may even see each other again. Now don't ask me to explain myself any farther. All that I will say is that I believe you and that however much time we have left together, we had better make the best of it."
Julian looked deep into her eyes, trying to see if she was telling the truth or not. Satisfied with what he saw there, Julian returned her smile and brought a hand up to cup one of her breasts, teasing the nipple with his thumb. "Well if that's the case, we'd better get started."
"Indeed we had." Giggling, Natalie pulled him up for a kiss, as she reached down and began to unbutton his shorts. The next few hours were going to be quite entertaining.
Natalie and Julian had finally decided to go back to the boardwalk for one last romantic dinner at a little restaurant they had seen the first day they had met. Unfortunately, as they were walking past a couple of bars to head back to the bungalow, a man came flying out the door and hit the concrete base of the lamp post with his head. Natalie let go of Julian's hand, so that he could make sure that the man was ok. Just then the man who had done the tossing came storming out door and straight at his victim. Julian looked over his shoulder and saw that Natalie was standing with her back to him as if keeping a guard, which is just what she proceeded to do when the man launched himself at them with a howl of anger.
Natalie quickly took a fighters stance and using the man's own momentum, tossed him over the nearby railing to the sand below. Julian looked surprised but continued checking on the groggy man in front of him. "He'll be ok." Rising, he touched her lightly on the shoulder and wasn't surprised to find her tensed up. "Natalie?"
"Julian, we've got to get out of here." Natalie informed him, never taking her eyes off the door in front of her. "The man I just tossed had friends and unless you want to be ganged up on by six other men, we have to go *now*." Natalie urged, grabbed his arm and began pulling him back the way they had come.
Julian strained against her. He didn't want to leave the injured man alone. "Natalie, we can't just leave him here."
"Julian, he'll be fine. His friends will see him to the local doctor. Right now, I problem is not getting killed ourselves. Now please! Come with me, you've got to be at the beam out spot in less then an hour."
Looking down, he saw the tears and anxiety in her eyes, silently pleading with him to do as she asked. Looking back at the man one last time, he followed her. Upon reaching the secluded cove where he was to beam out, Julian pulled her into his arms, holding her close. "Natalie, I know it's against regulations but I want you to come with me. I don't want to leave you here. What if those men find you. It'll be six to one."
Natalie chuckled, "Julian, there is nothing for you to worry about. What I'm worried about is if he should get his hands on you. You could be stuck here for the rest of your life." Looking up into this face that had become dear to her, she kissed him.
Slowly the kissed deepened, only to be interrupted by a beeping noise. Julian touched the badge that he carried on the inside of his cloths, "Bashir"
"Doctor we'll be transporting you in just a few minutes." came a voice over the badge.
"I'm ready." Julian replied, "Doctor out." Looking back down at Natalie, "Are you sure that you're going to be ok?"
Natalie smiled, "Of course I am. Now give me a hug and kiss goodbye. I'll never forget you Julian." She whispered as he pulled her to him once more.
Suddenly an angry cry broke though the air. Natalie turned and saw that one of the men from the bar had caught up with them and was charging over the break in the rocks that led to the cove. "Julian, if your going to make your ship, they better beam you up now." Natalie looked back over her shoulder as she stepped between the two men. Natalie took on the fighter's stance once more. After a couple of hits, the man was joined by a second and together they managed to capture her.
Julian rushed the man nearest him and managed to surprise him as his attention was settled completely on Natalie. With a quick couple of punches and a kick, he managed to knock him out. Looking up he was just in time to see Natalie do the same. Julian walked over to help a tired Natalie up and together they moved farther down the beach, away from the two men and the possible arrival of the others. As they reached the other end of the cove, a cry sounded. The man that Natalie had knocked down was staggering to his feet and was pulling a knife out of his boot. As he stalked toward them, Julian pushed Natalie behind him, "Run Natalie! I'll be able to handle him long enough for you to get away and for me to beam out. Now Run!"
Natalie looked at his back, "Goodbye Julian."
Julian heard the quiet goodbye and the receding running footsteps. He never looked back but kept his concentration on the man approaching him. Just as he was about to pounce on Julian, a voice come out of the air. "Transporter room to Bashir, ready to beam up."
Looking quickly behind him to make sure that Natalie was gone, he quickly hit his com badge. "One to beam up." He then dematerialized in front of the surprised man who had come to a sudden halt at hearing the voice.
"Computer stop program." Julian Bashir sighed with a look about the gray room. Walking out the room and down the stairs, heading back to his quarters. He didn't see the young woman step out of the shadows who's eyes followed him.
Smiling she wondered how long it would take him to realize that it wasn't a hologram image of her but was actually her. After Julian left Quark's, Natalie walked down the stairs and toward the bar. "Thank's, Quark." Slipping him a couple of bars of gold pressed latium. "I didn't think he would ever show interest in doing that part of the program. He was always so interested in the main mission before."
"Anytime, Natalie." Quark smiled as he placed the bars in his inner jacket pocket.
Natalie knew that Julian would stop off at the infirmary before heading back to his quarters, so she knew that she had time. Heading to the nearest lift, she arrived at Julian's well before him and let herself in. Quickly she changed clothes and sat down on the couch to wait. She had almost fallen asleep waiting for him when he finally arrived.
"Nat! What are you doing here!" Julian rushed into the room and swept her into a deep hug.
"I decided to cut my trip short." Natalie smiled and kissed him hungrily. "I missed you."
"I've missed you too." Julian replied in between kisses.
"So what have you been doing while I was gone?" Natalie asked, releasing Julian and walking over to the replicator so that he couldn't see the knowing glint in her eyes.
