The Phone Call That Said It All

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

"Brian? It's three in the morning. Why are you calling so late?"

"It's never bothered you before."

"But why, Brian? After six months?"

"I had to do it, Justin."

"Do what?"

"Send you away, so you could be happy with your schoolboy. You were going to stick with me no matter what, and I couldn't do that to you. You had to become your own man without my influence."

"But I'm NOT happy – we broke up a month ago."

"What?"

"I mean, I had this guy who told me he loved me, did all those romantic things I liked, but he wasn't you. He'd never be you."

"What are you saying?"

"Brian, the one thing that was wrong with us was we never really talked."

"It wasn't a problem before."

"It's what killed us! I'm sorry I never said this to you, and I doubt it will restore your faith in me, but…I love you. I've always loved you."

"I know. Me too."

"You love me?"

"What do you think?"

"Mikey told me you weren't tricking anymore."

"Mikey needs to keep his big mouth shut."

"You were happy for his big mouth when I was sneaking around with Ethan."

"Sometimes he talks too much."

"Yeah."

"So, where do we go from here, Brian?"

"I don't know – as I've always said, it's your call."

"I want to come home. I've missed you."

"I'll be here."

"Later."

"Later."
