Listen to Your Heart

Part 6

“Brian, hi, it’s Jennifer.”

“Well hello Mother Taylor. How are things in the Pitts?”

Jennifer smiled at Brian’s nickname for her; it was growing on her even though it made her sound like some aged crone. “Things are fine here. How is my son? It’s hard to get a fix through e-mail.”

“Well to be honest he is being a little twat right now.”

Jennifer sighed and sat down on her sofa, “why? What’s going on?”

“His doctors want him to get a little outside help. Maybe a school for the deaf where he can learn to sign or read lips or whatever. Of course he’s refusing. I even told him I would go with him and learn too. I mean shit, it’s getting really annoying having to write out everything. At least he’ll talk to me, but he still refuses to talk to anyone else so it’s a pain in the ass to go anywhere with him. I really don’t fucking know what to do with him. I’m sorry Jennifer but I’m seriously thinking about killing him.”

The older woman didn’t know whether to laugh our cry at her son’s lover. She didn’t think she’d ever heard that many words come out of Brian Kinney at once. The man must be desperate for conversation. “Calm down Brian, I think I may have a solution.”

“If you do I may have to kiss you the next time I see you, girl germs and all.”

“Now we wouldn’t want to make Justin jealous,” Jennifer laughed, “he almost had a coronary when you kissed me on the cheek in the hospital.”

“Have to keep him on his toes. Now about that solution?”

“Ah, yes. Well Molly is out of school for summer break in a few days and she wants to come visit Justin. She was so angry when I wouldn’t let her come with me last time. She and Justin have the same temper so you can imagine what it’s been like around here.”

“Christ I certainly can. I suppose it would be good for him, give him something else to focus on and give me someone to actually talk to for a change.”

“Brian, there’s something else,” Jennifer hesitated; “she wants to bring a friend.”

Brian didn’t answer right away, “I don’t know Jen,” he was trying to figure out what the fuck two fags were going to do with two fifteen year old girls.

“Brian I promise you I think this will be a good thing. Hannah is special, I think she will do wonders for Justin. He even knows her a little; she and Molly have been friends for years. He’ll remember her once he sees her again.”

“What about her parents? I mean do they know who their daughter is going to be staying with?”

“Of course they do. I simply told them the truth Brian and they want to help. They trust my judgment and they always liked Justin. So what do you say?”

“OK, I’m willing to try anything at this point, even living with teenage girls.”

Jennifer could almost see the shudder run through the younger man. “Great, I’ll make the arrangements and call you with the information. Let’s keep Hannah a secret from Justin shall we? I want her to be a surprise.”

“Sure,” Brian seemed hesitant as he wondered what was so fucking special about this Hannah girl. As he told Jennifer, he was at his wit’s end with Justin so he was willing to do anything if it meant getting some help with his stubborn lover.

“Oh, and Brian?”

“Yeah?”

“Be prepared to go to Disneyland.”

“Fuckin-A.”

“Bye.”

******************************

Justin sat drawing on his graphics computer smiling suddenly when he felt warm lips press against his temple; “hey,” he quietly addressed Brian as his lover moved around to face him.

Brian kissed him gently on the lips then pulled away motioning for him to bring up a blank screen on his computer. Justin did so and Brian took the stylus from him; < I’ve got news, > he wrote quickly on the screen.

“Brian I told you if it’s about that school I really don’t want to...”

Brian placed a finger against Justin’s lips; <shut up and listen twat! >

Justin nodded for his lover to continue.

<Your mom called. Molly wants to come visit when she gets out of school. >

Justin smiled, “she does?”

<Apparently she threw quite a fit when your mom wouldn’t let her come out while you were in the hospital. >

“Molly? My sister Molly? Are you sure?”

<Don’t be such a bitch. She adores you and you know it. >

“Amazing after all the shit I put her through.”

<Well we all have to grow up sometime. >

Justin smiled wickedly as he cupped Brian’s face in his hand; “you must be the exception to that rule.”

Brian pulled away to write again, < I’m the exception to every rule. >

Justin reached for Brian’s crotch; “isn’t that the fucking truth.”

<Speaking of fucking; I guess we’ll have to confine ourselves to the bedroom when your sister gets here. >

Justin stood up pushing Brian to sit in the chair he just vacated. He swung his leg over so he was straddling the older man, letting their groins rub together with slow, sweet friction; “I guess we better make use of the rest of the house while we’ve got the chance then,” he whispered hotly in Brian’s ear.

Brian answered with a passionate kiss.

******************************

Justin stood with Brian in the crowded airport and tried not to cling to his lover. He could feel his fear of large crowds creeping back into his psyche. It wasn’t quite as bad as it had been after the bashing, but it was unnerving to be in a silent world amongst all these people. Justin tried not to let it show too much because he didn’t want to give Brian yet one more thing to worry about. Who was he kidding? Trying to hide anything from Brian was nearly impossible. Justin shifted and slipped his hand into the older man’s. Brian squeezed tight as they both watched the people streaming from the busy gate areas.

Justin’s thoughts wandered to his sister. In the last year or so Molly had turned from an annoying brat into a person he actually liked. Much like him she was very mature for her age. Though she was still a typical teenager in many ways he also found her to be very intelligent and passionate about things.

She had been very supportive of him via e-mail. He was anxious to spend time with her and have someone else around beside Brian. Brian of course had been nothing but supportive, but Justin longed for his family and for Pittsburgh and Brian didn’t nessecarily feel that way. Although Justin could tell he missed Gus and Michael, the older man would never admit such a weakness.

Justin felt Brian squeeze his hand and saw him point to a pretty young girl with golden blond hair. She was walking with another dark-haired girl that Justin did not recognize.

Molly looked up and spotted her brother and began waving frantically as she grabbed her friend’s hand and broke into a run. “Justin!” She squealed as she grabbed her brother in a hug. Then she broke away and jumped onto to a very surprised Brian; “hi Brian! It’s good to see you again.”

“You too Molly,” Brian smiled and kissed Molly’s cheek as she pulled away from him. Molly blushed just like her brother and Brian smirked with a wicked glint in his eye.

Molly turned to her friend giving her an “I told you he was hot.” look.

Justin rolled his eyes and plucked at his sister’s sleeve as he pulled out his mini-Magnadoodle, <“aren’t you going to introduce your friend?”> He wrote.

Molly nodded and took the toy from Justin handing it to Brian, “here, you write for him while I talk,” she told a puzzled Brian. Molly turned and motioned for her friend to come over, <“Brian, Justin, “> she spoke using her voice as well as her hands, <“this is my friend Hannah. You remember Hannah don’t you Justin?”>

Justin glanced at what Brian wrote for him, then stared at the pretty young girl in front of him.

Before he could say anything Hannah began to speak, <“hello Justin, it’s nice to see you again.”> She spoke aloud as she signed as Molly had; though Brian noticed it was a bit difficult to understand her. <“It’s nice to meet you too Brian,”> she spoke with a touch more shyness and a bit of a blush as she addressed the handsome man.

“Uh...you too Hannah,” Brian spoke out loud and tried to write at the same time.

<“It’s OK Brian,” > Molly said, <“Hannah can read lips as well as sign.”>

Brian just nodded dumbfounded as he watched the graceful hand gestures his lover’s little sister made with such ease.

Justin was still staring at Hannah when Molly spoke to him again motioning for Brian to write for her again, <“Let’s go big brother, we’ve got a lot to do.”>

Molly turned back to Hannah and signed something and both girls turned to walk towards baggage claim. Their hands were flying as they spoke animatedly to each other, then they began to giggle as they glanced back at Brian.

Justin sighed deeply as Brian patted his arm before taking his hand and leading him after the girls.
