Eternity
Chapter 7
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Jonathan's POV
White and pink candles flicker, casting shadows through the darkened room and Celtic music plays softly in the background. Gwen reaches up, gently caressing the side of my face and I lean down and kiss her softly on the lips. Our bodies join as one, dancing to a rhythm of love and desire.
Gazing down into her hazel eyes I know right here and right now is how everything is supposed to be. Focusing only on our love I look over to the white candle then back to Guinevere. Our eyes lock and she nods her head in agreement. Mentally I imagine a white light encircling us in protection. Dipping my finger in the hot wax I lightly touch it upon her third eye, running my finger down her nose. I chant firmly with affection in my heart:
"To the Enchanted path we walk
our love has turned full circle
I trust in you,
you trust in me
forever we will be
For eternity."
Gwen dips her finger in the hot wax touching it upon my third eye and down my nose. She repeats the words I have just spoken. Drawing our spirits together we confidently chant the words together three times until our breath is united.
We close our spell of devotion, speaking in unison. "So mote it be."
Letting the candles burn, our bodies meld together.
I lay down on my side and turn to face my lover. She is absolutely glowing. Lightly touching her cheek I whisper, "You are so beautiful."
She giggles sweetly.,"So are you." I blush and bury my head into her shoulder as she runs her tender fingers through my hair, sending chills through my body. "Jonathan, I'm sorry we weren't able to wait. I shouldn't have..."
I stop her words with a kiss. "In my eyes we are already wed. In the eyes of the Gods and Goddess we are forever connected. I believe we have always been together." Laying my forehead upon hers I whisper.,"Blessed Beltane, my love."
She looks at me slightly embarrassed. "Ah, that it is." She smiles bringing me down into a gentle kiss. "And a blessed Beltane to you, my beloved."

Guinevere's POV
Jonathan soothingly brings me into his warm embrace and lightly kisses me on the nose. Caressing my shoulder he slowly moves his hand to my breast and touches me delicately. A small gasp escapes my lips and Jonathan smiles and whispers. "Making love to you tonight and committing ourselves spiritually to one another is everything I thought it would be and more. You're everything I have ever wanted and needed."
I can feel my eyes welling with tears with his affirmation of love. "Really?" I ask meekly.
His voice is husky and full of passion. "Yes, Gwen, really." He kisses me softly, looking at me intensely through his silver blue orbs. "Gwen, why do you always feel you're not deserving of love? I love you more than anything in this fucked up world. I could never judge you because of your past."
Snuggling closer to my lover I gently caress his torso. "I don't know. I guess I've never trusted society. Sometimes it affects how I think others feel about me."
Jonathan laughs good heartedly, rolling on top of me and kissing my face softly. "Gwen, we are so much alike it's frightening. We both detest society. Most people are fucked and they judge us because we look different." Sadness clouds over his eyes as he speaks. "When in reality, deep in the depths of a lot of people's souls, they are decaying."
He gently rubs the back of his fingers over my lips glimpsing into my soul. "I know you understand this, Gwen, because we are both empathic. Being able to feel others' emotions and pain is distracting." Jonathan nuzzles my nose with his, and he smiles, showing the twinkle once again in his eyes. "That's one reason I am so glad to have you in my life, we can relate and understand what the other feels without having to ask."
I look up at him thoughtfully. He really gets me and understands a lot of the spiritual things that I deal with on a daily basis. Playfully, I roll us over, pinning him to the bed. "I love that you always understand how I feel, but sometimes I get mixed up. When I stop focusing on you, and focus on my own inner fears I get scared. Like tonight I thought that...oh never mind what I thought I'm starting to think as much as you do." I bat my eyelashes at him flirtatiously. "But I like it when you think too much. I find it endearing."
He reaches up and brushes my hair from my eyes. "I can't help it, that's all I ever do. I think so much it makes my brain hurt. I think of you and our future. I think of our children to be."
Looking down at him I smile from ear to ear. "You've never told me this before."
Jonathan touches my hand laying on his chest as he nervously twists my engagement ring. "It's everything I have ever wanted. A wonderful woman or man that I could spend the rest of my life with, raising children. I always knew I would save myself for the person I loved. I know you're scared Gwen, that I might have sex with you and then run. I will never do that. I could never do that to you. I want us to have a long life together with children and maybe even a fucking pink house with a white picket fence," he grins widely.
Softly I squeeze his strong biceps. "I love you, Jonathan, but, God, please not a pink house."
He laughs. "Okay, no pink house."
"And you're right. I am scared; or was anyway. You changed how I thought about relationships when we met. You made me want to love only one person. I never thought about having a family, but I do now. I want kids with you. You would be an amazing father."
He smiles brightly. "And you will be an amazing mother."
Jonathan gazes at me lovingly for awhile, then suddenly gets a far away look that I have come to know well. It happens every time he thinks of his father. I know he worries about our dads being together. That my father will break Justin's heart.
"Jonathan, what are you thinking about?"
He laughs lightly. "I did it again, huh? I'm sorry, love, I was just thinking about our dads."
"Our dads? Is everything all right? Is there something I don't know about?" I start feeling an anxiety attack coming on and I'm not sure why.
He ends my words with a crushing kiss. "Gwen, shh, no reason to get all worked up. Yes, there is something you don't know, but I'm not supposed to know either."
"Okay spill."

Jonathan's POV
"Last night I had a dream that my father called and told me he was coming home early to surprise Brian. In the dream I saw my father holding a small wooden box in his hands." She looks at me in encouragement to continue. "This morning when I woke up I received a call from my dad. He asked if I could pick him up at the airport because he was coming home early to surprise Brian. When I took him to the mothers' he went to take a shower. Curiosity got the best of me."
Gwen pulls out of my embrace swiftly with a huge grin on her face. "Oh my God! Did you find it; the box?"
I nod my head laughing. "Yes, I did."
She claps her hands playfully, much like her Auntie Em in excitement. "Well? Well? What was in it?"
I kiss her on the cheek. "I think you already have an idea. I found a wedding band that my dad crafted. It's beautiful tri gold with Celtic knots."
She lays back down, swooning. "Oh, that sounds so lovely." Then she gasps. "Oh my god! My father is going to have a shit fit! He is not ready for that kind of commitment!"
I look down sadly. "I know, and I don't want to see my father get hurt, which I know is nearly impossible." There is an expression on her face I am unable to read and I become concerned that I may have upset her. "Don't get me wrong. I like your father, he has a very giving soul, but he also hides his feelings a lot."
Gwen rolls on top of me and chuckles. "There is no need to explain. I know you like my dad. Your father is a very intelligent man and I know deep in my heart he will wait until the time is right. That doesn't mean I can't help out and give a little assistance; guiding my father in the right direction."
"Gwen, you mustn't! You know we shouldn't work any magic unless all parties are in agreement. It could come back three times fold."
"Oh sweetheart, I thought you trusted me!" She lays her hand upon her chest in mock horror and giggles, kissing me softly on the forehead. "No worries, my beloved, I will not use magic. Just my woman's intuition and charm. Plus I know how my dad works. Trust me, it will be okay. I can't promise you there will be no tears shed or painful moments, but in the end I think it will have been just how it should. They are destined to be. Just like you and I."
I gaze up at Gwen. "Of course I trust you, more than anything in the world. You do know I am speaking from personal experience? I just don't want you have to have the burden of a spell gone wrong."
She laughs, and then apologizes.
"Hey, it's not funny," I growl. "Getting a bad case of acne after doing a love spell on someone is not something I consider to be funny."
Gwen slaps me teasingly. "Oh come on. I think it's funnier than shit, plus you learned a very valuable lesson."
"You're right. It is kind of funny," I chuckle.
"Of course it is. Also I'm glad your spell did not work correctly."
"Really? Why is that?"
"Because I may not have had you now." With that, Guinevere leans downs capturing my lips with hers.
"Mmm, this is true. In that case I'm glad it didn't go as planned either." We continue kissing until our passion overtakes us.
