Eternity
Chapter 12
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Justin's POV 5 days later
I sit back on the sofa and feel the goofy grin spread across my face. I chuckle at how ridiculously romantic I am being. The loft is filled with twinkling candles casting a golden haze throughout the room. The table is set for two and I called and ordered from Brian's favorite restaurant.
I hear the shower turn off and I know the time is soon and I wonder if I am doing the right thing. I hold the oak box in my hand nervously. What if Brian says no or he isn't ready? I run my fingers through my hair and whisper, "Fuck. God, what am I thinking? Am I pushing too hard? Mentally I prepare myself to walk out tonight if that's what Brian wants.
I am drawn out of my thoughts by Brian calling me. "Hey Sunshine, can you help me in the bathroom for a minute?"
I smirk to myself already knowing what he might possibly need help with, then it registers that his voice sounded a bit off. Now I'm concerned and I hope he is okay. "Yeah, I'll be right there."
Slowly I drag myself up to the bedroom, drawing closer to my destination. I take a deep breath as I open the door. I am stunned by the sight before me and the tears well up in my eyes. "Brian?" I whisper timidly.
The bathroom is filled with lit candles casting a golden glow over my lover who is standing in the middle of the room, a towel wrapped snugly around his waist. I notice music playing in the background and listening carefully, I smile recognizing the song. 'Here comes the Sun'.
Brian holds out his hand to me. "Come here," he smiles tenderly.
"Brian," I whisper again.
He pulls me in close kissing me softly on the lips then draws back slightly to caress my cheek. "Justin you have changed my life in so many ways. When I found out you were the one I had dreamed about since I was a kid, I was terrified of bringing up those old feelings. Once I did, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. When I walked away from you I felt so naked and vulnerable. That was when I vowed to put away all my insecurities." I can see mist forming in his eyes as he tries to hold back his emotions. "But now, with you, I want to feel all over again." Brian closes his eyes for a moment then looks back with a new sparkle in his hazel orbs.
He holds up a ring and I gasp as I suck in a breath of air. I know I must look startled and relieved.
Brian chuckles. "If I knew I would get this kind of reaction I would have proposed months ago when I bought this thing." He smiles cheekily winking at me then his face grows serious. "Justin I I shit " he chuckles again. "I love you and I want to spend eternity with you. You are the other piece of my soul. I knew it the day I met you all those years ago. Will you marry me?" He gulps heavily looking very nervous.
I can feel the smile on my face. "I've been waiting for you to ask me." I wrap my hand around his neck bringing him down into a passionate kiss. "Yes, yes, yes!" I whisper. "I will marry you."
Brian smiles brightly at me. "Really?"
"Yeah."
Brian takes hold of my left hand and first kisses my ring finger before slowly sliding the ring on it, speaking softly. "You have always been my sunshine."
I look down at the ring and notice the small suns and Celtic knots. "Brian, it's beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you." He looks away blushing.
Gently I place my hand on his jaw and turn him to look at me. "I love you."
"Me too."
He embraces me and I am engulfed in his warmth and love. Brian lays me on the floor gently and I notice then he has laid out a blanket. I look into his dazzling eyes. "So, were you expecting to get lucky?"
He brushes a stray hair from my eyes. "Mmm, it crossed my mind." He pushes off me and starts to stand. "But if you don't want to," he grins playfully.
Quickly I pull him back on top of me. "Brian, I want you to make love to me." He nods his head in agreement gently touching and caressing me with sensual kisses until our bodies become one.

After we make love I lay my head on Brian's chest. He breathes heavily underneath me as he strokes my hair. "I can't remember a time when I was more happy and content than this very moment." Out of the blue reality sets in. "Oh shit!" I start laughing uncontrollably and sit up.
Brian looks over to me. "What's so funny?"
Standing up I reach my hand down to help him up as well. "I'll show you."
I lead him into the living room and Brian gasps. "Sunshine, what's going on?"
I walk over to the stereo hitting play. 'Here Comes the Sun' begins to echo through the room. Brian smiles at me in confusion. I grab the small box I left on the sofa and walk over to my lover kissing him on the lips. Brian returns the kiss shyly still waiting for an answer.
"Apparently great minds think alike, I shit, this did not go as I planned it."
Brian takes my hand in his as he gently lays his hand on the wooden box. "You were going to ask me tonight too?"
I close my eyes nodding my head. "Yeah, but I guess I'm too late." I open my eyes and shrug my shoulders sheepishly.
Brian delicately brushes the back of his fingers across my cheek. "It's never too late to tell me what you were going to say."
"When I met you at Babylon you took my breath away. I saw inside your soul this beautiful and amazing man I wanted to spend forever with. Since it was Babylon I knew that forever was impossible, but if I couldn't have you forever I wanted at least a moment with you." I look up at him shyly and he smiles back. "When you told me your name I was taken aback and even more so, hopeful. That night I got to know you, the real you, the loving and caring father, and I knew then beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could spend eternity with you. A few days ago when you came home and everything was brought out in to the open about our past " I try to hold back my emotion, feeling the tears teetering on my lashes.
Brian gently kisses my eyes causing my tears to fall. He kisses my face and lips then whispers, "Go on."
I stifle a nervous laugh. "I was so afraid I lost you. I thought that the gods had played some fucked up joke on us, and then everything fell into place. We have grown more together in these last several days, than we have the months we have been together. I wanted to ask you if you would spend the rest of eternity as my beloved husband."
Holding the oak box in my left hand I open it revealing the tri gold ring with Celtic knots sitting upon purple velvet. "I knew I could never find a ring and box to express how much you mean to me. I made them both with all of my love for the man I want to spend my eternity with. Sliding the ring on his finger carefully, I notice tears forming in Brian's eyes as he leans down and kisses me passionately. A moan slips from his lips and he sensually guides his tongue into my mouth. I wrap my hand around his neck and deepen the kiss.
Breathlessly he pulls away leaning his forehead against mine the warmth of his breath soothes me as he whispers, "Yes, I would love to be your beloved husband." Brian laughs joyfully then kisses me again. "I can't believe we that oh shit! It is fucking unbelievable. As you said before, great minds think alike." He looks down at his ring in awe then smiles up at me. "You are more talented than I thought possible. I could not imagine a more perfect ring."
I feel a blush creep up my cheeks from his compliment. Brian kisses me on the forehead then starts to walk away. "Where are you going?"
He turns and smirks. "You'll see." He moves over to the stereo turning our song back on then grins widely. "I wanted to dance with you. Brian steps closer to me wrapping one arm around my waist and taking hold of my other hand with his, interlinking our fingers. He smiles at me then pulls me closer resting his cheek against mine, his warm breath sending pleasurable chills through my body and cock. Brian laughs huskily as I grind my hardness against him. He moans slightly and his breath feels even more sensual against my tender skin. Swaying our bodies to the music Brian sings into my ear:
"Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right."
During the music interlude he lets go of my waist still holding my hand and moves our hands above my head then walks around letting me spin under his arm. Brian smiles widely pulling me in close singing once again into my ear:
"Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right."
Brian leans down kissing me softly on the lips, wrapping his arms around my neck, he continues to sing to me.
"Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here,
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right."
I look up at him grinning from ear to ear. I had no idea this song meant as much to him as it does me until tonight. God I love this man so much. He brings me in even tighter capturing my lips in a sensual kiss. The music plays around us:
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
I feel swept away in his strong arms as Brian holds me firmly then dips me, guiding me back up, we both chuckle and he kisses me again.
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right
It's all right
After the song ends Brian looks deep into my eyes and soul. He traces his hand on my forehead and cheek and whispers, "I feel that ice is slowly melting, little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear." His hazel orbs pierce deep within my spirit and he looks almost hesitant to speak, his breathing is rapid and he gulps heavily before continuing. "It takes on a whole new meaning, doesn't it?"
I can feel my emotions overwhelming me once again as I place both of my hands on his face bringing him down for another kiss; our tears of understanding melt us together.
