Meant to Be

"Justin, we're so glad to have you join us for the summer. Here, at The Spa, we like to think of our staff as family…an extended sort of family, always eager to do whatever it takes to make our guests feel relaxed and at ease at our resort."

Instantly two thoughts flashed through Justin's mind as he tried his best to keep the hopefully genuine looking smile plastered across his face…

First, he wondered if Mr. Brant, the overly pleasant director of The Spa, knew that he fooled no one by referring to the Crystal Spa as a resort. Everyone knew that it was just a fancy place that the not so stable escaped to, to rest and try and regain the required normalcy in which to join the other inhabitants of the planet.

And secondly, he wondered if the rather dumpy little man really meant that he should be willing to do just about ANYTHING to please the guests. Because truthfully, that was just a little more than Justin was prepared to give.

"Well then…"

Justin blinked rapidly then focused his attention back on the man who was now coming out from behind his desk. Quickly rising, Justin shook the hand extended to him and smiled again, realizing that he was obviously required to say something, so…

"I'm sure that I'm going to enjoy being here, Mr. Brant. And know that I intend to give this job my all…whatever is required, I'm up for the task."

"That's good to know, Justin…very good to know. Now, how about you get started. I know that Theresa has already filled you in on your duties, and that you've already been shown around, so hop right on in there and good luck."

"Thank you, sir. I appreciate the opportunity."

Nodding, a smile still firmly in place, Justin opened the door and stepped out of the small office, closing the door gently behind him. He felt an instant sense of relief, took a deep breath and let the smile that he feared was now permanently affixed to his face fall away.

He knew that he needed to try his best, making sure not to do anything to disgrace his father, who'd pulled quite a few strings to get him the job. It seems that several of Craig Taylor's business acquaintances had visited The Spa at one time or another, needing a break from the hectic and all too demanding life that sometimes plagued a top executive.

Justin shook his head, knowing that THAT type of life was something that he never wanted. He was an artist…at least he was gonna be one for real when he started at PIFA in the fall.

He couldn't wait.

But first, he had to make it through the next few months…and that meant dealing with the GUESTS at The Spa. So, without any further delay, he stood up tall, took a deep breath and headed in the direction of his future…at least for the summer.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

"I don't give a shit if that's what I'm supposed to do. I have no intention of making that a part of my daily life. Not even while I'm here…relaxing and regenerating. I just needed a little break, that's all. No…fuck, no…Linds, I can't go into it right now. Yeah…fine…I'll try and…"

If Brian had realized that he was shouting, he didn't really seem to care. Sometimes Lindsay just got to him. He knew she meant well…fuck, they all meant well…but he just wasn't prepared to do certain things, no matter how much everyone told him that it was good for him…or would help him. Fuck all they knew. He knew what was good for him…what he needed to make him more relaxed…he needed someone to suck his dick.

And just as the thought passed through his recently overly fried brain, there was a soft knock on the half-opened door to his room and then the answer to his dilemma walked right in…causing his breath to catch in his throat as an instant bolt of…something…shot right through his body.

"Uh, is there a problem in here? Oh, sorry, didn't realize you were on the phone. It's just that you're shouting, so I wanted to make sure you were alright. I guess you are…so…okay…I'll just…"

Justin knew he was rambling…fucking running on aimlessly, but he couldn't seem to shut up. He felt his eyes almost bug right out of his head as he stepped into the noisy room and spotted the most beautiful man he'd ever seen standing in the middle of it.

Instantly Mr. Brant's motto of doing whatever it took to please the guest seemed to be revising itself inside Justin's head, and he realized that maybe he WAS willing to do just about anything to keep the guests happy…especially THIS one.

"Linds…Linds…gotta go. Yeah, you too…soon…bye."

Brian snapped his cell phone shut and tossed it onto the small table by the window, his eyes never leaving the face of the incredible blond standing in front of him.

Fuck, he wondered for a minute if maybe he was further gone than he thought, having visions of an angel coming to visit him. Without thinking, he moved forward, closing the distance between himself and the possible hallucination, hesitantly reaching his hand out when he got within reach, brushing his fingertips along the length of the angelic creature's chest.

Justin couldn't contain the small gasp that escaped from his parted lips at the touch and inched back slightly.

"God, sorry, fuck, I guess you're real." Brian drew back his hand, his fingers still humming.

"Wha…what?" Justin asked, somewhat puzzled and somewhat amused by the statement.

"Nothing," Brian replied, his eyes flitting downwards then back up again to gaze into the most captivating deep-blue eyes he'd ever seen. He felt them hold him…pull him in…and a calmness and warmth seemed to spread through him like he'd never felt before.

Realizing that he hadn't even introduced himself and feeling a little exposed by the way the older man's eyes seemed to bore right into his soul, Justin smiled shakily, cleared his throat and said, "I…I'm Justin…Justin Taylor. I'm going to be helping out around here for the summer, so, um, I guess if you need anything, please feel free to ask me."

Forcing his eyes to look away, Brian smiled slightly and said, "Great, so I guess I'll see you around. Oh, and I'm Brian."

"Brian…well…it's nice to meet you."

And then the blond smiled, and Brian thought that the sight before him had to be the best thing that he'd ever witnessed. So fucking genuine and good and perfect. Again, he felt that unfamiliar feeling pass through him and briefly wondered if maybe his little retreat to The Spa was going to work out after all.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

"Hey, Brian, how you doin today?"

"Good…I'm actually feeling a lot more relaxed already. It must be the air up here or the water or something because I swear, all the pressure and tension that was eating me up only a few days ago seems to have lessened immensely."

"That's great…maybe it'll be…" Alex's voice trailed off as he watched Brian's face relax, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as his attention was averted off to the side of the room. Following the man's gaze, Alex realized just what had worked its magic on Brian so quickly.

"Justin," Brian called out eagerly, realizing how uncharacteristic it was of him, and quickly tried to regain his composure.

"Hey, Brian, haven't seen you in, oh, about an hour," the blond said with a laugh as he moved forward. "Hi, Alex."

"Hi there, Justin. So, is Brian monopolizing all your time?" the therapist asked teasingly.

"Nah, he's just a little needy…aren't you, Brian?"

"No…no, I'm just…" Brian answered defensively, but quickly realized that the younger man was just playing with him and he blushed, something that was another unusual occurrence for him.

Justin felt himself react to the sudden hue of pink that spread across Brian's cheeks and he shifted slightly, feeling a tightening in his groin. God, what that man did to him…he'd never before felt anything like the things that he felt when he was in Brian's presence.

Noticing the little movement, Brian's eyes shifted downward, taking in the instant fullness in Justin's snug-fitting jeans. Unconsciously he licked his lips and quickly looked back up, his eyes locking onto the intense blue ones and he smiled as a matching blush spread across Justin's fair skin.

'Fuck,' Justin thought, realizing that Brian had obviously noticed his erection. Embarrassed, the blond said, "Excuse me," and headed out of the room.

Not missing a thing, Alex looked at Brian, brows raised in question and Brian just smiled then headed outside, taking a seat on the patio…more than pleased with the reaction from Justin and eager to savor the moment.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

"Brian, you asked to see me?"

The older man turned to find Justin entering his room and smiled. God, the man's beauty never ceased to amaze him…and he found himself becoming more and more enchanted each time he saw him.

"Yeah, uh, I was wondering if maybe we could go someplace? I'm feeling much better…and Alex thinks that it's time to get back out there…at least temporarily…so, um, I was just wondering if maybe, you'd go with me."

Justin was floored.

He'd really enjoyed the time that he'd spent with Brian…the man made him feel incredibly comfortable and overwhelmingly agitated all at the same time…and he couldn't get enough. When he was with the other guests, he couldn't get the dark-haired man out of his thoughts. And at night, when he lay alone in his bed, his mind would rage ahead non-stop, thinking things…unbelievable things…about the gorgeous man.

But he wondered just why Brian was at The Spa, because truthfully, he seemed like he was more than relaxed and completely normal…so why was he there? What did he need to fix or escape from?

"Justin?"

"Oh, sorry. Mind…wandering…you know," the blond said shyly.

"Yeah, I know," Brian replied, his tone serious.

And for an instant Justin wondered if he'd been given a glimpse into the reason why Brian was there. But pushing the thoughts aside, he said, "Sure, I'd love to go with you. What did you have in mind?"

Shrugging, not really sure, but more than sure of the fact that he wanted Justin with him, he answered, "Why don't we just see where we end up?"

The blond nodded, smiling brightly, knowing that wherever it was he wouldn't care, as long as he was with Brian.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

"Okay, you know that you're free to come and go as you please, so have a good time, relax and enjoy yourself. And, Brian, try not to get worked up…remember…"

Nodding, Brian placed his hand on Alex's shoulder and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll be good. Besides, I'll have Justin with me. How much trouble can I get into with him?"

For some reason, the thought of the young blond going with Brian didn't reassure Alex in the slightest…but he kept that thought to himself.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

"So, have you ever been here before?"

"Actually, yeah, a few years ago. I don't get out to this part of town too often. But since I was in the neighborhood I thought, what the hell."

Justin smiled, enjoying being out with Brian. Not that they hadn't spent some alone time at The Spa…they had. Brian seemed to be a very demanding guest…and for some reason he demanded that the only one to do anything for him was Justin.

Over the past several weeks, Justin found himself falling desperately for the older man…and worried what he was going to do when Brian left. Once again his thoughts turned toward the reason that Brian was at the resort in the first place.

"Why so quiet?"

Deciding that if he didn't ask he'd never know and the suspense was eating away at him, so…"Brian, um, I was just wondering, and I hope it's not too personal to ask, but exactly why are you at Crystal Spa?"

Several minutes passed and Justin was afraid that he'd overstepped his bounds. Just as he was about to open his mouth and apologize, Brian quietly began.

"I'm a very private person, Justin. And talking about things, well, it's very difficult for me…"

"God, sorry, I didn't mean to…"

"No," Brian cut Justin off. "It's alright," he continued, nodding slightly, reaching out across the table, taking the younger man's hands in his.

Justin's breath caught and his chest tightened as Brian's larger hands closed around his and he thought he might faint.

Smiling gently, aware of Justin's reaction, Brian said, "Life…life has never been easy for me. I grew up in a home where my father thought it was my birthright to get the shit beaten out of me at his whim. And my mother, fuck, my mother was more interested in the church and her ever-present wine collection to even notice."

"Brian, that's horrible."

"Yeah, well, that's life," the older man said casually, but his demeanor changed, his tone sounding almost defeated as he continued. "So I always had to do my best…work the hardest…prove to everyone that I was better than that…better than my parents ever were. And after a while it became too much. Too hard to always be on top of every fucking little detail…always afraid that if maybe someone knew…saw how I really was then it'd be all over. That maybe, after all, I was nothing more than they were."

The tears threatened to spill from the corners of Justin's eyes as he leaned forward, pulling one of his hands from Brian's grip, grasping the mans strong chin in his fingers and tilting it upward. "Brian," he whispered gently, his eyes locking onto the deep-hazel ones so filled with sadness.

"I just couldn't handle the pressure and I needed a break. Just a little fuckin break to try and regain my focus. That's all." Huffing a laugh, Brian said, "God, I sound like a dyke."

"No, no you don't. You sound like a man who got tired of always pretending. Someone who needed a rest. That's all."

Nodding, Brian smiled weakly and replied, "Maybe. Or maybe what I really needed was you."

Before Justin could even process the information, Brian leaned across the table and pressed his lips against Justin's in a soft yet gripping kiss.

"Fuck, I'm sorry, Justin, I didn't mean to…" Brian stammered, pulling back.

"No, no, I…" Justin just shook his head, unable to finish…a smile beaming from his beautiful face as a bright blush crept across his cheeks.

And Brian couldn't help it as a smile worked itself across his face, a feeling of relief spreading through him…knowing that the kiss was welcome and obviously enjoyed.

Clearing his throat, Justin asked, "So, when are you leaving?"

"Thursday."

"Oh," the younger man replied quietly. He knew that it was obviously only temporary, Brian being there at The Spa, but he couldn't help the feeling of instant loneliness that overtook him at the thought of not seeing the man everyday.

"Justin, let's not think about that right now. Okay?"

Smiling, willing to push the unpleasant thoughts aside and opting to create some better ones, Justin bent forward, deciding to just go with what he felt, and captured Brian's lips with his own in an inviting kiss.

Brian couldn't hold back. Placing his free hand on the back of Justin's head, his fingers splayed through the golden silk as his tongue pushed forward, slipping inside the warmth of the younger man's mouth.

Moaning in unison the men pulled apart, breathless and slightly startled by the intensity of the kiss.

Just then their waiter appeared with their meals, setting them down rather abruptly in front of them then quickly disappeared.

Looking at each other, Brian and Justin began to laugh, realizing that obviously, the waiter hadn't wanted to overstay his welcome.

Picking up his fork, Brian put a piece of chicken in his mouth and began to chew…his eyes in constant motion…flitting back and forth between his meal and his dinner companion's mesmerizing face and he knew that he was right…Justin was just what he'd needed.

"Wanna dance?"

"Here?" Justin asked in shock. He looked around the not so crowded restaurant and over to the barren dance floor then back at Brian. "Here?" he couldn't help repeating.

Laughing, Brian didn't answer, just stood up offering his hand to Justin, smiling when the younger man stood and took it then let Brian lead him to the dance floor.

The music was slow and sensuous. Justin couldn't help but notice a few onlookers and worried that they were making a big mistake.

Sensing the man's apprehension, Brian said, "Hey, don't worry about them, just look at me."

Nodding, Justin relaxed and felt himself shiver when Brian's hands moved to rest on his hips. The contact felt incredible. He sighed, trying so hard to keep the moan that threatened to spill from his lips in check as the taller man's lean body moved in closer, brushing against him.

"Mmm, you feel so good," Brian whispered, tilting his head toward Justin's ear.

Unable to contain it this time, a low moan rumbled from Justin as Brian's warm breath washed over his sensitive skin. His eyes slid shut and he felt himself melting…literally melting against Brian's body, his chest heaving slightly as his breathing rapidly increased. He was sure that Brian could feel the hardness of his groin, because he undoubtedly felt Brian's pressing against him.

"Justin," the older man breathed…almost in awe.

"God, Brian," Justin moaned, his hands gripping the man's strong forearms tightly as their bodies moved together seductively.

Brian's senses were on overload and he was just dancing. He couldn't remember having felt such fierce intensity like he was experiencing at that moment with anyone…ever. And just from dancing. Shit, he wanted Justin so badly. He felt an ache for the man so deeply within him and it scared him…but thrilled him at the same time.

"I…I want you," Brian breathed.

Justin's dick throbbed and leaked in his tight jeans and he couldn't help but grind his groin hard against Brian's thigh. Fuck, he'd never wanted anything more. But…

Taking a deep breath and summoning all the strength he could, Justin pulled back, forcing his eyes open as he looked up, meeting Brian's searching gaze. He opened his mouth, needing to tell Brian that he wasn't sure, because soon he'd be gone and then what…what would he do then? But the look in the older man's eyes let him know that just as insecure and afraid as he was…Brian was feeling the same thing…and still…

"I need you." Brian felt almost desperate. Not because he wanted to fuck…to get off…it was much more than that. He needed Justin…needed someone else besides himself…and that was something that he'd never felt before. And he was fucking terrified…but it was beyond him…beyond his control. "Justin."

Justin had to close his eyes…squeeze them tight and try not to come in his pants. He knew he was panting openly and heard the little whimpers and moans that escaped along with his breath, but he couldn't gain control. Suddenly he felt himself being pulled off the dance floor and his eyes flew open as they headed toward the front door of the restaurant, catching the sight of Brian tossing several bills onto the bar and calling to their waiter to keep the change.

"Brian."

"Don't say anything. Please, just don't"

Justin climbed into Brian's car as the man closed the door behind him then got in on the driver's side. He wasn't sure where they were headed or what to expect. He didn't know if Brian was upset with him so he decided to just remain quiet, staring out the side window, watching as the dark night sky passed by.

Brian knew that Justin still lived with his parents, so going back to his place wasn't an option. And he didn't want to bring him back to his room at The Spa…sure that it wouldn't look right in the morning, him coming out just in time for work. He remembered a small motel that wasn't too far away and headed in that direction. He hoped that he wasn't making a mistake in assuming that Justin wanted the same thing. But he had to find out.

Suddenly Brian wondered if maybe Justin hadn't ever been with a man before. He knew he was young, but…

Pulling up in front of the motel, Justin gasped and quickly looked toward Brian, only to find the man's eyes already on him.

"Justin, I want to be with you. Is that alright?"

Not trusting his voice, Justin smiled and nodded, enjoying the look of elation that spread across Brian's face from his response.

Leaning forward, Brian placed a happy and grateful kiss on Justin's cheek then climbed out of the car, calling over his shoulder, "I'll be right back."

"'Kay," Justin replied eagerly, his anticipation of the night ahead growing almost as quickly as the erection in his pants.
