A New Day Has Come

Author's Notes: I was inspired to write this story after listening to Celine Dion's A New Day Has Come. It struck me as perfect for writing a story for Wyatt/Harry and Chris/Draco. A big thank you to Gayle for issuing this Crossover story challenge to the Tribe, and to Sabina for the great work on the picture. It was truly an exciting adventure writing this story.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! A big round of applause for Mr. Wyatt and Harry Halliwell and Mr. Chris and Draco Halliwell!"

Piper Halliwell couldn't help but have a big smile on her face as the reception got under way. Both of her sons were happily married to great guys who balanced them out, as well as had the courage to call them on their bullshit. She couldn't help but get a little teary eyed at the surprise her new sons-in-law had set up for their husbands. First things first though….getting through the speeches…and she was the first to go.

"When Wyatt and Chris first came home and told me that they both found the man of their dreams, I was afraid that I was going to lose them forever. What mother or father here hasn't felt that when their baby comes home and announces he or she has found the person they want to be with for all time? You want to lock them up, don't you? I know I certainly did." Chuckles from those knowing parents in the crowd and the roll of the eyes from Wyatt and Chris.

"However, as time went by and I got to spend more time with and get to know both Harry and Draco, I began to see that I wasn't going to lose my boys…but instead I was going to gain two more wonderful men into my family. I also began to notice that Wyatt and Harry as well as Chris and Draco gave each other the look that I gave, and still give, Leo to this day. It was then I realized my boys had found their soul mate, and I wasn't going to deny them what I so obviously cherish with Leo. To Wyatt and Harry and Chris and Draco!" Cheers and applauses from around the room as Piper got hugged and kissed by her sons and sons-in law. Next up to speak was Phoebe.

"Like Piper, I was a little nervous at the beginning when Wyatt and Chris seriously began dating Harry and Draco. Were they going to have the luck that I and my sisters had or were they going to have an easier time of it? However, when it came to advice in the romance department, surprisingly Harry and Draco came to me for advice. Especially when handling my sometimes overprotective nephews." Smirks from Harry and Draco.

"No doubt at all, when you see Wyatt and Harry together as well as Chris and Draco, that you are witnessing true love and feel all the better for having been able to see it. It offers hope to all singles that their one true love is out there. To Wyatt and Harry Halliwell and Chris and Draco Halliwell!" Harry and Draco left their spot at the table to go over and hug Phoebe and whisper words of thanks.

Next up was Paige.

"Unlike Piper and Phoebe, I wasn't nervous at all when Wyatt and Chris began going out with Harry and Draco. It was easy for me to see that they each complimented each other as well as balanced each other out. That is not to say it was all peaches and roses at the beginning. Far from that. Oh, there were some spectacular blowups between Wyatt and Harry and also between Chris and Draco." Wyatt, Harry, Chris and Draco all blushed at this, while Piper, Phoebe and the family chuckle.

"Because of my work background, Wyatt and Chris came to me for advice. Looking at the four of them now…you can see their love is obviously one that will keep the flames afire for years to come. If you find it…truly fight for it, for the rewards will be worth it."

Blaise was the next one to speak.

"I've been Draco's best friend for more years then either of us care to admit to. We actually think of each other as brothers more then friends. I met Harry at the boarding school Drake and I were going to. All of us have been through thick and thin together. When they started going out with Wyatt and Chris, I was thrilled. Anytime Harry or Draco talked about their date…not only would their face light up but their eyes would as well. Wyatt and Chris…the both of you have a rare gem…treasure them always. Oh yeah…either one of you break their heart and there's no place you won't be able to hide where I won't be able to hunt you down and kick your ass." Laughter from the audience and "Give it your best shot" from Wyatt and Chris.

Ginny was the last of the speakers to go.

"Like Blaise and Draco…Harry and I have known each other for more years then either of us will admit to. Harry is my brother in every way but name. Through Harry, I got to know Draco in a different light and am now privileged to count him among my best friends. Both of them were supportive of me when I decided to start going out with Viktor and later Blaise. So when they told Blaise and me of Wyatt and Chris…it was a no brainer that we would support them. Wyatt and Chris….same threat from Blaise….but with one modification…break their heart and you have to deal with my mother, and trust me when I say you do not want to find yourself in that spot." Wide-eyed looks of terror from Wyatt and Chris, while Harry and Draco tackle Ginny when she sits back down. Everyone laughs at the antics.

Soon after everyone resumes talking and drinking, enjoying the festivities. Everyone is unaware that three people have made their way over to the music area of the reception room.

"Ladies and gentlemen, normally this would be the place when the new wedded couples would dance….however this family never put much stock in tradition so please bear with us for a few. My new sons-in-law have a little surprise they would like to present to their husbands," announced Piper.

Spotlight turns over to Draco and Harry.

"Thanks, Mom," says Harry as Draco gives Piper a kiss on the cheek before she heads back to the head table.

"Wy…"

"Chris…"

"This is for you"

<Music starts to play>

(Harry)

As soon as they were done, it was clear to everyone in the reception room how emotional and blessed Harry and Draco felt as evidenced by the tear tracks on their faces. One didn't have to look to know that matching tear tracks could be found on Wyatt and Chris's faces as well. Wyatt and Chris bolted out of their chairs and made their way across the room to where Harry and Draco were. Soon the newlyweds were hugging each other tightly and muttering, "I love you" as their family and friends looked on and cheered.

The honeymoon to Ireland and Scotland and then the Mediterranean was set to start in a few hours. That was also going to be a joint venture among the newlyweds…and note, it was at their own insistence. However, that was the furthest thing from their minds at the moment. Harry cuddled against Wyatt while Draco cuddled against Chris. All eyes met and knew each were thinking the same thing.

A New Day Has Come.
