Burn in Hell Saint Joan - Part 2

Author's Notes: Since originally writing this story a while back, I thought it was unfair of me that I never included Justin in this since after all he and Brian are together.  I am now happy to rectify that dreadful mistake. A big thank you to Gayle for her wonderful edit.

Justin's POV:

As the crowd departs from the graveside service of Joan Kinney, standing by the Corvette is Justin Taylor watching his lover, Brian Kinney, with concern.

There he stands at the grave of the Bitch from Hell. The woman who could never show him one ounce of love and respect. It's a miracle in itself that Brian even came to the funeral. After all Joan has put him through as well as done to him….one wouldn't have blamed him for not wanting to come to her service. But as always that decent streak comes through and shows everyone that Brian Kinney may be an asshole at times but he is still a good man.

Still cannot believe when her grandson, John, accused Brian of molesting him…she was quick to show her disappointment and contempt for Brian. Not even giving him the benefit of the doubt. Oh the look on her face was priceless when it came to light that John lied about it just to cover up the fact that Brian caught him stealing from him.

Never lifting a finger to stop the physical abuse that Jack heaped upon Brian while he was growing up. Instead, opting to say that Brian must've done something to warrant it or going to another mass at church. Even choosing to sit there and drink herself away while her own flesh and blood was being beaten up.

One would've thought with a major scare like cancer…that at least Joan would've gotten off her religious high horse and shown some motherly concern and be there for Brian when he had his own brush with it. Oh no, she had to use that opportunity to once again do her fire and brimstone lecture about how God was punishing Brian for being gay. What kind of parent does that??

Yeah Mom wasn't happy at first with me when I came out…but she is certainly a huge difference from Joan. At least Mom is making the effort to deal with this and be there for me…despite the fact that Craig is being an asshole.

Well, time to go get Brian and head over to Debbie's. Think he's spent enough time with the Ice Queen.

Justin goes over to Brian and places his hand on his shoulder. Brian looks over to him. "Brian it's time to go. The gang is gonna meet up at Debbie's. None of them want to hear weeping, hysterical Claire again. I guess apparently once was enough." Brian can't help but smirk at that.

Hand in hand, they head back to the Corvette. Brian pauses a moment and turns back to look at the headstone one final time and flips it the finger.

Ah yes. That's my Brian. Give her one final send off. No doubt thinking….

May you burn in Hell Saint Joan
