“Let me in,” Azura demanded, and in his innocence, Florian complied.

He wasn’t as innocent when Ray made the same demand, but he was curious.

It wasn’t easy living in a tower. Azura called it ‘sanctuary’. Ray believed it was a prison. Florian simply thought of it as home.

When the confrontation came, Azura and Ray’s illusions were shattered and betrayal laid between them. But it was Florian who was cast out, alone and in a desperate state – his identity shorn away and a new one forced upon him.
